As soon as Aaron regained his composure he knocked over a nearby fire hydrant. As the water gushed out he absorbs some of the water and increased his mass. When he was finished he slid following right on Richard's tail.
Richard rolled once to see if Aaron was following him. When he saw that he was he opened fire with his plasma based weapons, focusing the beam on a small area. He rolled back over and flew in the direction of a local foundry.
"That's right, follow me. Soon enough you'll be surrounded by a constant stream of molten metal." Richard said to himself as he flew.
"Well, Rich seems to have everything going well," Garrus said, surprised at how quickly things had escalated. He walked into the infirmary to see if he could find anything that had caused Aaron to go berserk. "Well, fuck. Nothing seemed to be out of place, except for all the ice of course. Not sure why he's doing this," Garrus muttered to himself after looking around.
"Maybe the doctor did something that triggered a aggressive reaction in him? Maybe he poked a nerve or something." Jason said, following behind Garrus. He was surprised that they didn't instantly flash freeze once they walked in the room.
"Aaron must've been maintained the room temperature. It must've rose tremendously once he left." He thought as he wiped the ice and frost off of the medical equipment.
Richard crashed through the roof of one of the city's foundries and immediately set to shooting holes in every furnace, casting tray, and vat carrying molten metal he could see. He hovered above the molten metal as it covered the floor raising the heat of the building itself exponentially. He was probably lucky the building itself was made of the same steel used for the furnaces and equipment, or else he would have to worry about it combusting.
"That should make life a little bit harder for him." Richard muttered as molten metal continued to spill on the floor.
As Jason continued to examine the melting room, he turned his attention to the window Richard threw Aaron out of. Once he walked up to the window and peered out, A cold breeze entered the room, making Jason's short breaths visible.
"Winter must be coming soon. Maybe that has something to do with his outburst. Y'know, since he uses ice and stuff." He said to Garrus.
"Oh damn you're right it is winter time! I hadn't even noticed it, should have known since Leland was talking about his birthday... That could be the cause of Aaron's little outburst, the change in weather," Garrus thought out loud before adding, "Scared to see what happens in summer."
Katie thought about Garrus's words. "Hmmm... maybe Aaron will be less effective in the warmer season, if winter affects him like this." She cautiously crossed the infirmary to join the others, almost slipping on the icy floor.
Aaron was right on Richard's six. Though Aaron hesistated to follow when he saw him Richard crash into one of the citie's foundries. Aaron was about to proceded after him though something caught his attetion out the corner of his eye. He turned to see the Nova City water purification plant.
Aaron could sense the heat from the foundry and decided to head twoards the plant.
"So that's how it is going to be, huh?" Richard said as he saw Aaron begin to head toward the water purification plant.
"Well I've always been an impatient one when it came to a fight." Richard said before flying out the hole he had made and shot Aaron in the back with a plasma bolt. If he wanted to lead this, he was going to take a lot of hits doing so. He didn't fly after him, just stayed above the building and fired from long distance.
Aaron turned to Richard who was still shooting at him. Aaron's face filled with rage as he made an ice sheild to block the plasma bolts. Aaron returned fire with some ice shards aiming at Richard's helmet.
Richard targeted the shards and destroyed all but one. The hardened steel easily deflecting the small bolt. Richard knew they were simply a distraction but figured there was probably nothing he could do about the wall of ice in time to stop Aaron from reaching the treatment facility, but he could be ready for when he returned. He went full thrust towards the refinery sub district of Westford. He began grabbing the trucks meant to bring crude oil from the harbor to the refinery and began moving them towards the refinery. If Aaron in this state could make a plan, then he sure as hell could make a better one.
As Aaron peeked from behind his wall he noticed that the skies were clear. He continued oh his way to the plant still looking up to make sure he wouldn't be flanked. When he arrived at the plant there were plenty of workers going on about their jobs. It wasn?t until a couple of minutes passed that someone noticed Aaron and all hell broke loose. Aaron started to freeze everyone in the plant, bringing everything to a stand still.
Richard probably had every crude oil tanker in the district placed around the foundry. When Aaron came back, he would be ready. He knew what was happening at the water treatment plant, but there was little he could do until he got Aaron under control.
"Alright guys now we need to figure out where Rich and Aaron went to, and whether or not we go and help. I'm not sure how much use we could be," Garrus told everyone, breaking a few pieces of ice.
Once Richard had everything in place, he decided to harass Aaron. He remained in his current position but flew upwards and began firing on Aaron again.
Aaron could feel the nussisance of plasma bolts being unloaded in his back. Aaron shot a couple of more shards at Richard. As he was busy shooting them down Aaron made his way deeper into the plant. Eventually he found himself in a flocculation chamber. Aaron dived into the pool of water and slowly started to encase the whole plant in ice.
Giant ice shards the size of mini-vans where hurtled from the sides of the plant twoards Richard.
