The Society of Justice: A Super Hero Roleplay

Katie blinked out of her reverie at Jason's questions, and looked back at him when the traffic stopped again. "Oh, um... my parents are okay, I guess," she answered. "They don't really know what to expect if I say I'm dating someone. I'm an only child, and I never dated before I met you, so... I guess they'll wish us luck, if anything."

She turned her attention back to the road for a few moments, then sighed as the traffic was still going nowhere. A thought crossed her mind, and she asked, "You don't have any place to spend the night, do you? If you want, I can build an extension of the room I have in the garden back home."

Jason chuckled sheepishly at Katie's question.

"Now that you mention it, I really don't have anywhere to go..." He said, rubbing the back of his head dumbfoundedly.

"I mean, going back to the Corps will get me killed, and I'm pretty sure the landlord probably already re-rented my room out, soooo...yeah." He added before looking down.

"Honestly, I kinda just figured that I'd crash with you at your house." He added before rubbing his hands together, feeling some of the chilling air from outside. Quickly, he turned to Katie, mask crawling up his face and hands as he did so.

"Hold that thought for just a sec, i'll be right back." He said before carefully opening the door and slinking out, only to return momuntarily, fully clothed with his face covered with the red & black hood and scarf like before.

"Had to go back for my clothes. Wouldn't want to approach your parents looking like a demon/human hybrid that's about to shatter into a bunch of pieces." He said, uncovering his face from the particles of clothing that obscured it.

"Fair enough, but for future reference, it's a bad idea to step out of a car into a traffic jam," Katie answered, her worried look returning. "I'd hate to see my boyfriend run over by a motorcyclist weaving between the cars or something." If truth be told, she would hate to see that happen to anyone, be it a civilian, a team-mate or a member of the Union. Although a super would probably just get out of the way or stop the car through force. Katie had to smile at that.

She tried to force herself to think of other, somewhat better topics, but the only other thing on her mind was Jason. She drifted back to thinking about their relationship while waiting for the traffic to lighten up. Had she meant what she said in the note? It had seemed like a good move at the time, but now... she wasn't sure of herself.

"Don't worry Kate, the cars behind us aren't moving an inch. I have seen any motorcycles either. Most people just got out and started walking to work. Oh, and you know that treehouse structure you made earlier? People are still swarming around it. Some are calling it art, others are calling it a sign from God... it's quite intresting actually." Jason said before noticing that Katie wasn't really paying attention to him.

"You alright Kate? Is there something you want to talk about?" He asked innocently.

What happens is up to you. I can either keep Leon or you can play him.

The contact simply sat down in the chair at the end of the conference table.

"Sorry, me and my boys will not be helping in this. I was asked to help you find him, and that is what I did. Good hunting though." The contact said simply.

"Thank you. I wouldn't expect you to waste your valuable time in a fight that won't take long. Well then, I think we should get going." Richard replied.

Alright then.

"Thank you my friend. We will consider this one of the favors you owe me paid in full." Richard said before he lead them out of the building. They took one of the SUVs to the location on the map. Richard stood with the rest of the team outside the old building.

"Alright Dona, you want to take the lead or should I?" he asked.

"Alright then, let's get this over with." Richard said before Dona lead the way inside.

Alister reached under his hood to scratch his head as he followed the others inside. This whole escapade had been rather confusing for him. Everything seemed to be going by in a blur, and he was having trouble keeping up.

I guess that's part of working with a team. He thought to himself. Sometimes you're asked to help with things you otherwise wouldn't even remotely be involved in.

He was the rearguard of the group, gripping Excalibur tightly. Dona said this would be an easy fight, if a fight at all; for some reason, Alister didn't believe her.

Richard stood by as Dona and Leon spoke, walking out of the shadows after they had finished.

"You may as well just give up now, seeing as we have you outnumbered and outgunned. You will pay for your crimes one way or another."

"All you need know is we are from the Society of Justice and we have evidence that you have committed murder. Surrender now or we will be forced to use force on you." Richard replied.

 

[blaze96]

"Stand down Dona! I will not have you killing a man who has not attacked us and has not been convicted of a crime. Now drop the blade Noel, if you prove yourself to be a threat we will not hesitate to attack." Richard shouted.

Alister's headache was back, stronger than ever. At the provocation of seeing Leon with a weapon he, in a word, snapped. He drew Excalibur, pointing it at Leon's face as he began to come closer.

"I have fucking HAD IT with you insane people! This man's armed and dangerous, Dona is a body-snatcher, there's some dead Jess at the center of it all! It MAKES! NO! SENSE!"

He made a jabbing motion, coming close to Leon's face.

"I want answers! What the bloody hell is going on here?!"

Don't worry, he's not unstable. He's just really pissed off from the headache, and very confused on top of all that.

Alister sighed heavily, putting away Excalibur. "I'd rather be ignored than confused. But for the love of Christ in heaven somebody explain this to me."
