"Woah..." Jason said breathlessly as he got out of car, going over to the driver's side to let his girlfriend out.

"Katie...your house...is beautiful. I mean, everything is: the flowers, the bare trees, every little thing that accents and compliments the house is just...amazing." He said, taking her by the hand.

"It's like, one of those paintings where they just paint the scenery and stuff!" He added quite naïvely.

"...just going to the kitchen"

Simon finished as he turned back to Alister with a smile, having grabbed another beer from the fridge. But Alister was no longer in the living room.

Scratching his head, Simon walked through the Promenade, finding none of the others around, panic slowly starting to set into the young man.

How could this be? All did was walk into the kitchen?! Everyone was still here!

Taking a few deep breaths he headed back downstairs, turning on the TV to add some noise to the suddenly quiet house.

"...And what a gorgeous day it was in Nova City and a perfect day for the opening of the new MegaMart in the Horizon district. Come by now and see what fabulous opening deals they have..."

Simon paused, turning slowly back to the TV. The new MegaMart hadn't been scheduled to open for two days! Running over to the calender on the fridge, he looked at the crossed off dates.

Two days had pasted.

Stumbling back a few steps, he felt suddenly very dizzy. How? All he did was teleport to the kitchen! Slumping to the ground, his fists clenched, he hugged himself tight as if fearing to use his abilities again

Simon looked up at Dona, his face a mixture of many emotions

"I lost two days..."

He said, almost in a way that made it sound like a question. The amount of stress and confusion flowing around in his system was almost at the point of overwhelming him, yet somehow he had found a way to keep himself mostly sane

Simon blinked slowly

"I just teleported to the kitchen. Wanted something to drink"

He shrugged as Dona's influence started to take affect

Katie chuckled. "If you think this is amazing, you should see it in summer," she answered, gently pulling her hand free of Jason's. She went around to the boot of the car, opened it and pulled out her suitcases. She then closed it with some difficulty, locked the car and returned to his side. "When the weather was better over the years I could grow some incredible stuff," Katie added as the two of them began to walk up the path to the front doors.

Simon blinked slowly again, and rubbed his chin

"Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...what would give the best results?"

He asked

Simon shrugged, not really looking forward to anything to do with Dona but still...

"Fine. Whatever works"

Frowning slightly at Dona's tale, Simon nods slowly

"Ok...but what does this have to do with me losing two days?"

"Really? I guess that would something to look forward to then. That...and other things..." Jason said as he helped Katie with her luggage, tacking on the last part with a playfully raised eyebrow.

Once the two reached the large, lavishly furnished entrance, Jason took a deep breath, and knocked on the door.

"About that Dona. He still needs to face trial in the UK for the Arson. We actually just aided and abetted a fugitive." Richard said as he walked into the kitchen.

Katie shot a sideways look at Jason while they waited for someone to answer the door. Could he mean what she thought he meant? Most likely, but she certainly hoped not. That would probably spell disaster later on, when she finally mustered her courage and made the decision. Two options... only one could be chosen. No. She corrected herself. Both could be done, if she played her cards properly. It was all about timing and getting the words right.

A couple of minutes later, the door opened a few inches to reveal a woman about Katie's height, with long hair identical to Katie's in colour. She threw the door open with a beaming smile and hugged her daughter. "Welcome home, Katie. It hasn't been the same without you," she said as the two embraced.

Katie dropped the suitcase she was carrying and returned the hug. "Yes, Mum, I'm back," she answered. "But only for a while." After a few seconds, the two broke apart, and Katie half-turned to Jason. "I suppose I should introduce you. Mum, this is Jason, Jason, my mother Lucille."
