Katie pulled back from Jason, and settled into her seat as the gap between their car and the one in front widened. She put the car into drive, quickly pulled into a gap in another lane, and eventually found the appropriate turn off. She navigated the roads, turning into her home street within ten minutes, despite the traffic.
She pulled up outside a fairly medium-sized house, its front gardens full of a melange of small trees. The majority of them were leafless, but a few evergreens could be seen here and there. A simple brick path led through the forest to the double doors at the front of the house.
"So... this was my place before I joined the Society," Katie said, turning to Jason with a smile. "These gardens are nothing compared to what I did out the back. It's interesting what I've managed to do in three years, really."
