Katie hefted the unconscious Alister in her four arms, and made her way out to the building's parking lot; it was a little difficult navigating the ruins, so she simply levitated herself over it and landed in a clear space. Wanting to get Alister to safety as quickly as possible, she set him in the passenger seat and sat astride the bike herself. To hold her teammate in place while she drove, she converted her second set of arms into a mass of vines, and wrapped them tightly around him.

Once that was sorted out, Katie started up the bike and drove straight to the Promenade, arriving in a matter of minutes. She unwrapped Alister and caught him before he hit the ground, then brought him inside to find the others. That way someone with medical experience could treat both him and Richard.

Garrus had a coughing fit as he took a seat at the lounge, figuring that his lung must have been hit by the bullet he took. "Hah, guess I wasn't lucky enough to have it hit just flesh," he said jokingly, trying to lighten the mood a bit. He grabbed his cell phone and called Patriot, practically ordering the man to get to the Promenade as quickly as possible. He also called Cillian to make sure he came over to.

Richard walked in as multiple surgical teams arrived as well as a flat bed truck with supplies. He directed the workers with the flatbed to put everything in his room before being helped inside by medics. They ordered everyone injured into the infirmary to have the bullets extracted and be stitched up. Richard was allowed to take off the chest plate to his armor before lying on a gurney in the infirmary, one of the teams already setting to work upon him. They didn't sedate him as they worked and Richard couldn't help but nearly scream as they did.

When he got inside Tommy took off his mask and took Dona's corpse to the medical station, and put it in a body bag, he lamented not being able to have found Leon's body, but nothing could be done about that now. When this was over he'd find her family and contact them, make sure she was buried properly. Growing up as the child of a necromancer, Tommy had always been careful and respectful to the dead, knowing that simply because they had passed, did not mean they were no longer with us. He winced as he heard Richard trying to stifle his screams, and walked out of the medical station. He wandered through the Promenade until he walked outside and found himself in the garden. There he sat down, resting his back against the tree that made Katie's tree house.

Katie carried Alister into the infirmary after Tommy walked out. She set him down on a bed next to Richard's, cringing mentally at the sight - and sound - of Richard in obvious pain. As she headed out into the lounge, she spotted Garrus, who appeared to be slightly paler than usual. Maybe that was because of the shocking news he had received about the torture of Leland and Camille, the bullet wound in his chest... perhaps both.

Opting not to talk to Garrus about his problems, Katie passed through the lounge and out into the gardens. Once there, she created a split down the back of her armour, and stepped backwards out of it. The effect was similar to that of a butterfly hatching from its chrysalis; her armour stood still, held up by its own design and roots connecting it to the ground. Katie smiled at her ingenuity; she would simply step into the armour again and reseal the split when it was time to use it.

A few doctors approached Garrus, telling him to lie down on one of the infirmary beds so they could get to work on him. He nodded and laid down without a word, his mind elsewhere. He wanted this to be over as quickly as possible so that they could get to work on coming up with some sort of plan.

"Now where is everyone?" Patriot asked as he descended into the lounge, looking around for everyone else. "And I thought this was an emergency. Tsk, kids probably are playing hide-and-seek or something like that," he said with a laugh, going into the kitchen to grab a banana. He noticed Cillian rush through the lounge, and he caught up to the man in only a second.

"Ah Cillian, are we playing tag now?" Patriot asked as he continued eating, startling Cillian.
"Wh-what? Tag? Patriot we are on full alert almost everyone is in the infirmary getting fixed up!" Cillian explained, giving Patriot a few moments to fully process what he was told.
"Gosh I didn't realize it was that bad! I wasn't told about this!" Patriot exclaimed as they went into the infirmary, "Oh you poor, poor things! What on earth happened?"

Richard spoke through clenched teeth.

"Went to check out a possible base, turned out it was, got hit with a missile, found a man named Gerard, he's leading the troops, mentioned a man named Sykes, he's behind this. We need to let every first world nation know who they are now up against, allow them to do some background checks or plan espionage if we still have time. Doubt we do though, Sykes took out the fucking Union. Not sure if he captured some or straight up killed everybody, but they are out of the picture for now." Richard was silent for a moment as he thought it all over after giving the basic report.

"Those fuckers are mass producing suits, an army of them, and this Gerard is training them and was a part of how they are doing it. My brainchild, my work, to see it so perverted. I'll kill them." One of the surgeons removed a piece of metal causing him to scream the last few words.

There was a sharp intake of breath from Patriot after hearing the news, and he immediately left to go and alert the world of what was happening. Cillian took a seat next to Garrus who was just getting bandaged up by the doctors.

"How are you dealing with this?" Cillian asked.
"It's fine. I'm fine. We just need to come up with a plan of attack a-and...yeah. I'm just...my mind is racing trying to think of a place to start off and all I can think about is that I might not have family anymore because of this Sykes guy, and it's stressful ya'know?" Garrus replied, scuffing his feet against the floor.
"I'd be lying if I say I understand, but I can empathize. Once Richard is done getting fixed we'll get the group together and come up with ideas," Cillian told him, patting Garrus on the back.

The surgeons finished extracting and stitching his wounds after about a half an hour, he was bandaged and told to take it easy before being released. He would be hooked up to an IV for the night and monitored because of the blood loss, but was otherwise free to go. He met up with Garrus and Cillian and sat down nearby, holding the metal pole that held his IV.

"So, what now?" He asked.

"Planning. We need to figure out where Sykes is gonna strike, we need to get some people together to stop them, and we need to be prepared. Patriot will be doing his own thing, but we should expect him to help us in the fight. He'll probably get older Society members to join us, but even then it doesn't seem like enough," Garrus told Richard solemnly.

"Well we can assume this Sykes and Gerard fellows will go after the major cities first," Cillian added in.

"Cities and major military installations will be the first to be attacked, if he can take them out then the outlying areas won't stand a chance. Obviously he will taking the first world nations out of the picture first, since if they fall he will have the resources and manpower necessary to conquer the planet. With the warning I gave to the leaders of these nations they should be reinforcing and preparing their populaces for evacuation or hiding using either the truth of the situation or another situation that would require such actions. If we can assume their suits are weaker than my own and he plans to attack soon, we can expect a mixed force of suits and conventional arms. We should plan accordingly, be ready for attacks from land, sea, and air with particular focus to anti-vehicle weaponry. Armored battalions and air squadrons should be in their vehicles and in the area within ten minutes of an alarm. These are the basics of what we need to be ready for, and when Patriot has a final list of the heroes and powers we can expect to have I can plan around those powers to bring down the suits. I will need to meet with everyone on the team to question about powers so that I can also figure out how to use them against the suits." Richard said as he began to think of what would need to be done.

Garrus nodded at what Richard said before asking, "Should we get everyone together now while your train of thought is on them? I'll just give a call to everyone to meet in the lounge anyways." Garrus sent out a message for everyone to meet in the lounge before standing up to head over there.

"Either of you need help getting over there?" Cillian asked, getting a stern 'no' from Garrus.

"Nah, I can get over there on my own. They didn't get my legs and I need to hold the IV stand to keep it moving and it gives me a bit of support back. I can get to the lounge fine." Richard said as he stood up and began to make his way to the lounge with everyone else.

Katie picked up on the message, and headed into the lounge to join the meeting. This would undoubtedly be a planning session for the team's next course of action. She gave Cillian a quick smile and a wave as she entered the room. "It's been a while, Cillian," she said. "Things must be serious for you to be here with us. No offence, of course."

Alister's eyes fluttered open, still on the bed in the infirmary. He tried to look around but as soon as he moved intense pain shot through his body. He couldn't tell what was wrong from his immobile position, but he assumed his bullet wounds were in the process of healing. He strained his eyes, but couldn't catch sight of anyone in the room. Desperate to get someone to fill him in, he called out.

"Hey, I'm awake in here! Anybody home?"

A doctor moved over to Alsiter as Richard got on the comm.

"Good to see you're alive, we're going to the lounge for a meeting, a doc should be able to help you get over there should you need it." At the same time the doctor spoke.

"Hello, you're back at the Promenade and you're going to be just fine. Do you need anything, for the pain perhaps?"

"Things are serious from what I've heard," Cillian replied to Katie as he took a seat on the couch, "We called you guys together to formulate are plans. And I believe Richard was going to ask everyone some questions too."

"Yeah," Alister replied to the doctor, trying point towards his side with his eyes. "or failing that could you roll me out to the lounge? It sounds like whatever's going on is important."

"You shouldn't need to be rolled in on the gurney, we'll find you a wheelchair at least." The doctor said before walking over to a counter and picking up a bottle of painkillers after looking over his wounds. He took a pill out of the bottle and walked back over with it and a small plastic cup full of water.

"Here, this should help with the pain." He said as he handed both items to Alister before walking over to a closet and finding a folded up wheelchair.

"Whenever you're ready, we can get you moved into the chair and down to everyone else." Alister gave the go ahead and the doctor helped him into the chair and brought him down to the others.

"Understandable," Katie answered, sitting on the armrest of the couch. "Hopefully this won't take too long. The longer it takes, the more time this Sykes fellow has to accomplish his goals." She fidgeted slightly, trying to find a comfortable position, and eventually gave up, sitting on the couch itself.
