Jason took the blasts of energy head on, reacting without thinking, guarding his body with both arms, leaving his wound vulnerable. The armor successfully blocked the blasts, but the impact of the two opposing forces caused a shock that sent Jason hurdling upward, forcing him to collide with the concrete portion of the ceiling. He stayed embedded there for a brief moment before wriggling free and falling out, coming back in contact with the ground with a matter of seconds. Rising, he quickly fell to one knee. Looking down, he noticed the several new cracks that had created, as well as the crack around his wound had augmented,beginning to show skin. He began to focus back on the fight, noticing that Katie held Leland in place with vines. A wild, unseen smirk then overcasted Jason's face as he rushed towards Katie.
"Keep 'im steady Kate! I got an idea!" He yelled simply before forcefully thrusting both hands into the ground.
Instantly, long black spikes exploded out of the concrete and in the direction of the battle. They reached and surrounded Leland, some spikes entangling him further and holding him in place, while others ripped through his clothes and precisely impaled him in his hands and arms, while dodging Katie's vines.
"Hope that...worked...I doubt it..." Jason panted before taking his hands out of the gravel, and exhaustedly falling to the ground.
