The Society of Justice: A Super Hero Roleplay

Richard crossed the line behind Dona and took his helmet off before replying.

"No problem I guess. I've been fine, have some illegal liquor from that club, so it will probably end up being a good day, though I can't say the missiles were fun. No worries about the crash, had to deal with multiple days without sleep, so an adrenaline crash is nothing."

Jason quickly looked up to see Aaron.

"...The hell? how'd you get up there?!" He said, chuckling a bit at Aaron's position. Then he turned his attention back to Katie.

"I dunno. How heavy are you?" He asked as he helped her onto his back.

She wasn't too heavy, but then again, Jason wasn't really strong. He jumped in place to test out how high he would go. It was high, but not enough to cross the acid pond.

"Ummm...okay. I can't jump you. But I do have another idea. Just hold on tight." He told her before walking up to the wall.

"Hey Aar, we'll meet you on the outside." He said before digging his claws and feet into the wall, climbing up the smooth concrete, going around the pool of acid.

Sorry for not posting much. I've been sick in bed all day. I have a bit of a headache right now, and it's causing a bit of writers block. I'll post when I can.

 

[Birras]

Birras took a deep breath, and went sprinting down one of the courses. He jumped over the first pitfall and made his way into a small building. At first glance, it seemed to be empty, with an omni-present whirring sound. The doctor ducked down just in time to forgo a free lobotomy, as he noticed that the entire hallway he was in was full of giant sawblades on tracks, constantly moving through the room. Sprinting through, nearly losing his arms, legs and head several times, all the while muttering prayers from every religion he knew in every language he could remember, peppered with swears every time a sawblade got close. Finally exiting the shack, Birras saw what appeared to be a spiked pit with acid, a river of lava and a large wall to scale. Off in the distance, he could see mechanized snake. Somewhat reluctantly running forward, Birras began to make crossing motions over his chest while muttering the Lord's Prayer in Swahili.

Out of curiosity, how technologically advanced is the robot snake on a scale from one to ten, with one being clockworks or steam, five being modern technology, and ten being trans-dimensional technology.

Anton looked ahead and saw a spike pit, even though he was still tired he still had to try and jump across. He took a few steps back and then ran to try and jump across. He made it across but only just, as he looked ahead he saw more pits and traps. He let out a heavy sigh.

 

[Souldemon8]

"I thought I was actually going to get some help," Aaron muttered to himself.

He touched the side of the acid vat and a ice ladder formed. He climbed up making his way to the end of the course.

 

[CounterAttack]

It felt weird to Katie as she clung tightly to Jason, her arms and legs locked around him. She watched over his shoulder as he dug into the concrete wall. At one point she looked down, and almost let go in shock; her simple fear of heights was almost laughable.

Seeing Jason pass by, Anton got incredibly discouraged. But decided it was just better to press on. Anton suddenly had an idea; he pulled out his matches, which he now had only two, and lit one. He used the fire to enchance his jumping in short bursts allowing him to leap over some of the larger pits easily. He landed on a small platform and had the time to look below him to see small openings in the platform that suddenly spewed fire out of them and onto Anton, he laughed as the jets of flame harmlessly brushed over him. He realized he could use the fire from the jets to make a huge leap and did so.

Jason felt Katie's grip loosen for a split second, he knew something was up.

"Kate, close your eyes. Don't look down." He said to her, softly and assuringly.

"Don't worry, we're almost out. I'm almost done."

He looked to his side so see how he was progressing. Slowly, he took his hands and feet out of the wall, and stepped down.

"Okay. I made it over. You can open your eyes now." He said to her in a gentle voice.

Katie opened her eyes, and seeing that Jason was on solid ground, released the death-grip on his torso and waist. She climbed down off him and said, "Thanks," a little embarrassed. She pulled out her blade and advanced down the course, looking for a loose section of ground to replant her flower and subsequently use it to her advantage.

Anton used the jet to propel himself to where Dona and Richard were waiting. He landed with an audible thud. He slowly got up and his face wrenched in pain as he forced himself to stand. He looked at the faces of Richard and Dona who were staring at him puzzled.

"Hell you lookin' at?" Anton questioned angrily as he felt his bruises.

After separating from Katie, Jason flew through the remainder of the test, diving through sharp blades and spikes, slicing through the robot dummies that dared to oppose him. But he was growing tired. Some hits connected, leaving bright blue cracks in the armor. As he sprinted towards the checkpoint, he lunged towards it, skidding over the line, and accidentally colliding with Anton, bringing the firestarter down.

Richard couldn't help but chuckle a little at the two of them. He took a seat on the ground and looked out over the course watching for the others.

If it's alright, I'm going to go ahead and skip to the end of my course, at least for today. I'll probably edit in the actual events of my course tomorrow, but for now I want to get this last bit posted and retreat to the realm of sleeps.

Birras scrambled out of the trench, his lab coat, for the most part, engulfed in fire. "Ow ow ow fuck fuck hot hot hot hot," he screamed, throwing his coat to the ground as it burned. "Damn, that was my favorite lab coat," he said, noticing Richard a moment later "Oh, hi. How did your course go? Do you mind taking some first degree burns?"

Aaron rushed through the last leg of the course. He wasnt about to make it thanks to an old fashioned securtiy wall which was about to come down and block his way. Though Aaron quickly froze the ground underneath him and slid under the door.

On the other side he quickly aimed and put out The Doc's coat. Aaron was still had adrenline pumping so he wasant really sure what was going on. He was on auto pilot. He quickly came to and joined the group.

Rested my eyes for a bit, now I'm awake again.

"Thanks, mate," Birras wheezed, nodding to Aaron. He picked up the charred piece of fabric and rooted around in one of the pockets, pulling out a wooden pipe and a small zip-loc bag containing a bit of tobacco. "My coat may be destroyed, but at least I've still got my pipe," the doctor sighed, tossing the tattered remains of the coat back into the trench from which he emerged and placed the pipe firmly between his teeth.

 

[CounterAttack]

Katie jumped, rolled and occasionally levitated her way through the next section, an acrobatics challenge with laser gates. Breathing hard, she staggered onto a dirt path. "Finally," she sighed as she pushed her flower's stem into the dirt, and concentrated for a few seconds. The flower sprouted roots immediately, and grass erupted from the path, spreading rapidly until it covered the entire remainder of Katie's course. Absorbing energy from the plant life as she moved, she ran faster than before, even though she had been heavily fatigued.

A few minutes later she jumped down from a low ledge, assisted by a vine, and joined the assembled heroes. She tugged gently on the vine and it came free, wrapping around her shoulders like a snake.

"Hey doc I can take those burns off of you if you want. It would give me the chance to work on what I was doing in the bus."

 

[Birras]

"Don't have to ask me twice," Birras said, focusing on transferring the burns to Aaron. The wounds disappeared from the doctor's body and reappeared on Aaron's. "Ahhh..." Doc Birras sighed, almost orgasmically, "You have no idea how good that feels."

 

[Souldemon8]

Aaron felt a sharp pain for a second and then paused. He walked back away from the others into a clearing. He concentrated as he cooled the air around him. His eyes glowed brighter and brighter.

A shockwave of cold disperesed from Aaron's body. His whole body started to turn into organic ice. Seconds later his transformation was complete. He was taller, bigger built, it was hard to even tell it was him.

"Yes finally got it," Aaron muttered to himself walking back over to the group.
