"Interesting, very interesting." Richard said as he saw what Aaron had become.

"Have to say though it will probably have its drawbacks, especially if we have to fight in exceedingly warm environments."

"God, that's creepy, Aaron," Katie commented, looking up and down his ice-encrusted body. "It's like you're a living sculpture or something."

"Hm?" Birras said, looking up from the ground, seeing that Aaron had become some giant ice man. "Christ, man! You can turn into this with some first degree burns? What would happen if you had some fourth degree burns, you'd freeze the entire goddamn world?"

"Not necessarily Rich I did the math and my body can cool the air aroud it up to 5 feet. So it's not like I'll melt or anything," Aaron looked over his body.

"I dont see how this is so creepy," Aaron paused for a minute,"...though I have some ideas that could make it "worse"."

Aaron turned to the Doc,"Me having burns has nothing to do with me changing it's just that fact that I was able to heal my burns quickly if I changed."

"Yes," Birras thought aloud, "Normal procedures advise against direct ice contact with burns, could cause hypothermia, though that's likely not to apply, as subject is already made of ice, and is unlikely to be affected with... Aaron, if we both survive fighting the dragon...snake...thing, would you mind if I took some blood and tissue samples of you?"

"I'm a doctor, a man of science. And you fascinate me. I just want some samples to see if I can figure out how you work. If I happen to find a way to replicate your power for my own usage along the way, that's an added perk."

Aaron's arm turned into a sharp ice spike and within miliseconds was at the Dr.'s throat.

"Every since I was younger I had scientist and doctors try and find out what makes me tick. All those tests just pissed me off. I aint going to make any exception for you just because were cool. Do you got that Doc?"

"Alright! Alright!" Birras choked, "No science! A simple 'No' would've sufficed!"

Katie began playing with the vine on her shoulders while she waited, making it spiral around her arm, then wrap around her waist like a belt, then coil up one of her legs, which she giggled quietly at, as it tickled.

"So who else are we waiting for?" she asked no-one in particular.

"I think mostly we are waiting for Garrus because he decided to cheat and now he gets to take this thing on on his own. Aaron, don't say they wouldn't let us die in training. While I doubt Cillian would, Patriot may intervene along the lines of you're okay until the life actually leaves your eyes. Don't get me wrong, the man's a good politician, but he isn't much else. I had to explain to the man multiple times we aren't at war with the English, the Germans aren't NAZIs, and the Russians are no longer communists. At this point, I wouldn't put any feat of brains, or lack there of, beyond his reach." Richard said as he sat on the ground.

Katie took her hood off and wove the vine into a small cushion before sitting on it, next to Richard. "Patriot does seem to be a little out of touch with the rest of the world," she said. "Maybe he enjoys the idea of a major conflict with another nation." She paused, thinking about what she had said. "Crap. I didn't mean it like that."

"Nah, he's just American history personified. He carries the past with him every minute of every day, and sometimes it just happens to overtake him a bit. So he'll latch onto some old enemy of yore and mistakenly apply it to today. Remembering history is a beautiful thing, and I love to see that he does it, but I wish he would tone it down just a bit." Richard said with a smile on his face as he looked out over the course. He thought for a minute before turning to Aaron.

"How about we focus on the giant snake we have to fight together first. Once we're done with that, which I think we'll need all our strength for anyway, then we can fight if you are still up to it. For now though, let's focus on the task that will soon be at hand."

"Oh... wow. I never thought of it like that..." Katie trailed off, thinking of the ramifications of having such a memory. The entire history of America... it was incomprehensible. Still sitting on her vine cushion, she moved out of the way of Richard and Aaron in case they wanted to have a quick battle while waiting for Garrus.

"I don't mean it literally mind you, it's not like he's been alive that long or anything." Richard began to trail off.

"I simply mean he is extremely patriotic and has studied American history in great detail because of it."

"Oh. Well, that makes more sense. Still, his memory is amazing if he can remember that much history." Katie shrugged.

"Not really if you consider how much he missed in other subjects because of it. The man is the voice, not the mind. I've tried to explain science to the man, and I wouldn't say he would be able to talk shop. He understands enough to know that what I'm doing will keep the balance of power in the US's favor, but not enough so that he can explain it to the public. He sacrificed other areas for that history, and it can show. Damn good politician though, have to give him that. The man is smart enough to run this country like the best of them." Richard explained.

"To put it in simpler terms, think of him as an actual historian. Basic knowledge of much, but truly a genius in the one area upon which he truly focused. It just so happens he focused on United States history, if he had been English or German, he would know as much about that country as he does about this one. It all depended on where he was born. He may be a headache most of the time, but I must say I'm glad he was born here."

Aaron reverted back to normal.

"I think this would have to be the most boring conversation in U.S. history," Aaron stated as he gazed at the clouds.

"Now I understand. Thanks, Richard," Katie said, standing up. The vine snaked around her feet in a small figure-8.
