"Anytime, I've always been a bit of a long winded person anyway." Richard said to Katie before turning to Aaron.
"Why do you find this dull, Aaron? I honestly don't see how a look inside the mind of your team leader and national leader could be dull." Richard asked simply.
"I think you misunderstand Aaron. Patriot is more, but everything I just said is a major part of what makes him him. I have no idea who would be leading us in the field though. The most obvious choices are Cillian and Garrus because of legacy and seniority." Richard replied with a shrug of his shoulders.
"True" Anton agreeing with Richard. "My money is on Garrus to lead us. Hes the only one that seems to know much of everything and has good common sense."
Simon tried hard to stifle a yawn as he continued his way through the maze. The amount of traps and dangers were no match for his teleportation ability.
Perhaps he ought to...
He paused for a second. He couldn't shift. He frowned until he heard a light buzzing in the air.
"Static electricity eh? Clever..."
Stretching out, he began to run through the course, his super speed and reflex's now being the only thing he could count on
"You're probably right Anton." Richard said before thinking for a moment.
"I have a plan that may work, it relies on Anton, Aaron, and Garrus or myself. Anton needs to get the head of that snake red hot followed by Aaron immediately cooling it. It will be like over quenching a sword, the metal becomes extremely brittle, making it far easier to damage. Then either Garrus or myself could punch a hole in it. If it doesn't go down by then, Simon will need help getting inside the thing, I figure if Simon can get you inside Katie, you can start ruining internal components with your plants. They'll have to get in through the hole, but that shouldn't be too hard. Dona and Birras can provide whatever support is needed to keep us from getting killed by that thing." Richard said from where he laid without lookinmg at any of them.
Wow, you guys did great without me! I'm so proud....Q.Q
I should be on most of the day. Might go to my brother's house, but I might get out of it due to being tired and feeling like crap.
"They've done pretty well," Cillian said as he wrote down notes, walking alongside Patriot and John as they went to the end of the course.
"Absolutely marvelous! Amazing team we've put together!" Patriot explained, merrily walking to the end, "Garrus, my boy. You've been punished enough. Meet up with the team and we'll start the last obstacle."
"Finally! For fuck's sake," Garrus replied, running over to the group and giving them a little wave of a hello.
Patriot handed a controller to John, who immediately went to work getting the giant metal snake ready for battle. It's shimmering body uncoiled itself, the hellish creature facing it's victims for the first time.
"Argh Metal Gear!" Garrus growled, jogging in place to get himself ready.
"Oh Garrus, I put in some shock absorbers into the snak-" Patriot started before getting quickly cut off.
"Please like that'll help. I'm not a kid anymore," Garrus replied.
"Well first we wait for them to be ready, if any of us get penalized again, the plan goes to hell. Once it starts, Anton heats it, you freeze it, and Garrus opens it. Then Katie gets her plants in it and I head in there as well where we both screw with the internal workings to bring it down. Birras, Dona, and Simon should probably distract it and give support." Richard explained after rethinking his plan. If the robot had heavy gears inside of it, Richard's suit would probably be the only thing able to withstand them other than the plants.
"Alright plan guy, sounds good. Okay everyone, it's time to show those three why we're ready for the big leagues," Garrus said as he cracked his knuckles, waiting for everyone else to be ready for the fight against the snake.
"I think they're gonna beat it," John muttered to Patriot and Cillian.
"I just hope no one dies," Cillian responded.
"They'll do fine. I can't wait until they realize that it shoots lasers," Patriot added with a laugh.
Jason spoke up after finally catching his breath. He jogged up to Richard and tapped him on the shoulder.
"Umm...Rich? Your plan sounds swell and all...but Simon's still on the course. Actually, he's the only one that hasn't finished yet." He said to Richard, stretching again.
Katie picked up her vine and examined the arena they were to fight in: rough dirt, with concrete walls. Perfect. "If you like, I can turn the entire place into a forest to constrain the snake's movement. A few thick trees surrounding it could keep it in one place, or I could grow some roots to hold it down."
"I think that sucker could completely destroy the trees, and it seems pretty mobile. And besides, you don't want any of your plants getting burned when Anton tries to light up the snake," Garrus replied to Katie, quite happy they were being given the time to plan things out.
'Doubt we'd get this luxury in real life,' he thought.
Alright, so later on today I'll be at my brother's house so I won't be on. I also know blaze96 is going to the movies so he also won't be on. Just letting you guys know.
