Aaron was almost hit head on with the tables though as Khrys tackled him they dodged them at the last minute.

"Uhh can you get off of me?" Aaron asked nicely reverting back to normal.

Khrys studies Aaron for a moment then nods whispering "Be careful." Climbing off Aaron and looking warily around.

Aaron dusted himself off noticing a cut on his suit.

"Khrys I'm trying to keep my cool right now, no pun intended, though I believe you messed up my suit."

 

[oathblade]

She gives a little laugh and smiles at Aaron.

"You can stitch that up easy I bet." Giving him a wink. "I'm sure you an excellent seamstress."

 

[Souldemon8]

"Yeah I know I'm excellent at everything. Though I wouldn't sew something that cost more than some people make every month," Aaron responded taking off his jacket.

 

[CounterAttack]

Katie jumped up as Leland threw the tables at Aaron, and hurried to join him and Khrys. "You two okay?" she asked quietly. "I'd help somehow, but Leland got rid of all the nearby plants, and I'm pretty much incapable of helping out without them."

"Oh dear god." Richard grumbled at everything going on. He simply walked to his car and left. He needed to be back at the promenade, and he needed to be now. He walked back into the promenade when he had gotten there to find Simon lying on the floor. He picked up the unconscious man and placed him in the infirmary. He was able to find a doctor that had stayed behind after Dona's surgery to finish packing up the instruments and get the robot ready for transport. He rehired the man to take care of Simon until he came back to consciousness.

As soon as Simon was in the hospital bed he went back to his room. He was going to take a nice long bath. Every part of his body felt a residual ache from Leland's messing with his perceptions.

After he figured that he wasn't gonna get a answer from Drake, Jason decided that it was best to see what was gonna happen first hand. But first, he needed to get from under Drake's foot.

"Um...Oh look! Plot Convenience!" He yells, pointing away from Drake. Luckily for him, he actually fell for it, leaving Jason open to attack. He punched at the leg, flipping off the ground before quickly slicing at Drake's wrists and neck. Afterwards, he quickly vaults over Drake and begins to run back towards the McDonalds.

"Ooh, those look bad. You should get those checked out soon!" Jason yells, running low and jumping high to make it difficult to follow him.

Khrys' eyebrows shoot up as she looks at Aaron with disbelief before laughing harder at the silliness of it all saying teasingly "Primping Peacock."

More seriously but still amused she nods to Katie and reaches out to pat her on the shoulder "Maybie you should get some seeds and carry a backpack sprayer of miracle grow. You could be The Gardenator."

Sometimes you have to laugh or cry and Aaron's primping had pushed Khrys into the giggles side.

Simon slowly came awake, his eyes staring up at the clean, white ceiling of the infirmary. He tried to get up, but a sudden shock of pain caused him to fall back onto the exam room table. Breathing deeply, he looked to the side and saw his communicator sitting on the table beside him.

Reaching out and fumbling for it, he managed to grab it and slip it back over his ear

"Hello? Anyone there? Whats going on?"

He asked weakly. He knew he should probably be resting but he needed to know what had happened while he was knocked out

Aaron folded up his jacket and laid it on one of the still steady tables. He unbuttoned his shirt and put it with his jacket. Aaron transformed this time though he had spikes covering most of his body.

He turned to Khrys,"Well I rather be called a primping peacock then not be as sexy as I am," Aaron laughed.

He made his way over Garrus and Leland,"Garrus I would move out of the way unless you want to get caught in the crossfire. I'm not in the fucking mood and I'm going to be held responsible for what I do to this guy."

"You want you're answer?" shouted Drake while he was still in earshot of Jason. "Turn around."

Blood began pulsating from the cuts Jason had inflicted, blood beginning to soak Drake's arms and chest in streaks. Drake smiled slyly, deciding to put on a show. He closed his eyes, when he opened them, they had gone pale, milky and bloodshot. Blood trickled from his tear ducts, building upon the mask already encrusted onto his face.

He hardened the blood pouring from his wounds, closing them and creating an almost full body layer of blood armour. He flexed his claws and looked back up at Jason.

Richard got out of the bath and decided to check on Simon. He got dressed and walked in to the infirmary to find him awake. He sat down in a nearby chair before speaking.

"Gave me quite the shock there. Not exactly used to finding people laying on the ground bleeding out as a welcome home. So, what happened? Or do you want to ask questions first?" He asked him.

"Woah. Calm the fuck down Aaron. Believe me there will be no more fighting anymore, right Leland?" Garrus said, quickly looking over at Leland who sighed.

"Fine," he said before sending a message to Drake and Requiem to come back, "I can't believe you'd step that low bro. Seriously."
"It was the only way to stop you! I'm not stupid Leland, I know you would have taken it too far," Garrus replied.
"Not true. I was being nice, that was as bad as it was going to get believe me. Besides what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, right?" he asked back, "If it helps...I can teleport everyone back to the Promenade? Unless you guys set up magical barriers, then I can only send you outside of it..."

Simon looked over at Richard, a expression of wounded pride flickering in his eyes

"Some bastard got the drop on me. A sneaky bastard with a gun and allot of strength. Tried to talk my way out of it..."

He chuckled then, motioning to his injuries

"You can see how that went though. Luckily I was able to teleport back here as a reflex"

Drake recieved a message from Leland, calling him back. "All that for nothing," he muttered, the blood receding from his body.

He readied his claws and began climbing up the nearest building, when he reached the roof he began bounding in the direction of the McDonalds. Leaving Jason to do as he wished.

"Yea, you aren't the only one. Was having a nice chat and suddenly I'm trapped in an illusion first seeing the thing I've been fearing all this time, and that was followed by numerous kinds of physical torture when the attempt at psychological torture didn't work. Just be glad you don't know what it feels like to have your limbs sawed off before being cut in two." Richard said as he rolled his arm trying to get some of the tension out of it.

"Didn't let the son of a ***** hear me scream though. So I would call it a wash."

Simon nodded

"Got to take your wins where you can get the I suppose"

He tried to sit up again, gritting his teeth through the pain until he was upright, a satisfied smile on his face

"Now then...I guess when the others get back we're going to have allot to talk about"

"Maybe, though I would suggest not jumping right into fighting them again. Most of us would be overeager to do so, only to repeat what just happened. Though now we know much more of what we are up against. I learned quite a bit about their organization before the fighting started. Turns out, while they are organized, they are more loose confederation of super villains than full on despotic organization. Also learned Leland was under orders to attack my home, question is, who ordered him to do so?" Richard said.

Jason scratched his head as he watched Drake leave.

"So...is that it? No "Thank You for the fight, Mr. Rojas"? No breakfast? Jeez. Kids these days." He says as his cracked mask began to unravel.

After a brief shrug, he dashed back to the McDonalds and was immediately greeted by the various and mixed expressions on his teammates' faces.

"So, what did I miss?" He asks, jumping into the window he was knocked out of earlier.
