The Society of Justice: A Super Hero Roleplay

Jason smirked at Garrus' reply.

"I don't need to beat him, I just wanna hit at least once...or twice...ok, I want to beat the shit out of him. But that doesn't mean I gotta win." He replied as he walked into the Promenade.

"So, what's for dinner?" He asked.

 

[tsatoma]

"I get what you mean. I feel the same way, shame he's only getting better," Garrus replied as he followed Jason into the Promenade. They made their way to the lounge and heard others in the kitchen.

"Yo guys. I see most of you are here," he said to everyone, taking a seat at the table with everyone else.

"That we are Garrus. On a more important note, I was able to learn a few things about what we are up against." Richard said as he took a seat.

 

[tsatoma]

"Well lay it on us. There are a number of things I could probably add onto it," Garrus replied, pausing before adding, "Sorry I didn't tell you guys about...well, you know."

 

[Souldemon8]

"Sup Garrus, Jason," Aaron greeted as they made their way in eating his BLT.

He then turned to Garrus,"Why didn't you tell us that Leland was your brother?"

"How Leland is family? Glad to see you told them, I was able to figure it out and don't particularly care. It became exceedingly obvious when you were able to get Leland to stand down with mere words. Well then, back to the more important topic here. The organization is a fairly loose confederation of supers, with someone exceedingly powerful at the top. Leland was merely a soldier, told to take the plans and return them. Whoever has the plans now is someone powerful enough to make such a large request but not powerful enough to take over on their own. Whoever has these plans was not at the meeting, at least in person. They have to have a very intricate knowledge of engineering, and not have enough power on their own to where they would need the suits. I'm thinking of going down to the local records building and looking for a prodigy who has gone missing, probably sometime in the last 90 years." Richard planned.

"Dunno how much that would help. The Union has members from basically all around the world. Lots of unknowns, but also a few people who are actually well-known figures. They all kinda do their own thing, within whatever the hell the rules are. I doubt that they were at the meeting, if my brother didn't know who it was then they wouldn't have been there," Garrus explained.

"And to answer your question Aaron, it's because not many people tell others about their all-powerful, psychotic brethren," he told Aaron.

 

[Souldemon8]

"Wait let me get this strait. Your brother can fuck with people heads, cause illusions, able to move shit with his mind, and has genetic super strength while all you can do is make the Earth shake. That just seems unfair how did that happen?" Aaron asked finishing his sandwich.

 

[tsatoma]

"I certainly got the short end of the stick when it comes to family genetics didn't I? I didn't get the height in the family, I only got my quake abilities, didn't get the looks. It kinda sucks," Garrus replied back, melancholy in his voice. "But I've gotten used to it. Doesn't bug me much anymore."

 

[Souldemon8]

"Damn if I were you I would be pissed. Though the one thing I don't get is how you ended up joining the Society and he joined the Union."

 

[blaze96]

"I'm pretty sure this guy doesn't want the public eye on him. Usually people with designs to world conquest aren't the enigmatic figures with the cult of personality. The people pulling the strings are usually hidden or under the leader. That is why I want to flip through records, if they have disappeared, they are probably laying in wait." Richard explained.

 

[tsatoma]

"I guess there's no harm checking Rich," Garrus replied with a shrug before replying to Aaron, "Well I was always one for the good guys. There are a bunch of reasons for my joining the Society, and an equal amount for Leland. It's just the way things are. I'd never join the bad side and I really doubt he'd join the goo-...well that's not true. He might switch but at this time I really don't think so. He's young, thirsty for power, obeys very few people... he's your average young adult."

You didn't miss that much. Only two pages. I'm going to be doing some chores for the next 30 minutes but I should be able to post still.

Katie sat at the table in silence, playing with the rose Leland had given her. She wondered why Leland had taken such an interest in her. Why he had exempted her from the illusions they had mentioned, why he had hit on her, and why he had paralyzed her as soon as the fighting had broken out.

She dismissed the thoughts, but maintained silence. Although it went completely against all the standards she had when it came to plants, she stood up and dropped Leland's rose into a nearby bin.

Khrys wandered around, in pretty good spirits. Seeing Katie she headed over to her and said "How are you doing?"

"That's what I figure. If anything, it will at least give us some leads." Richard said as he moved to grab a bottle of wine and some glasses.

"You know, we never did officially toast the group. I figure we may as well now." he said as he checked the bottle.

"At least the wine is of a good year." He opened the bottle before pouring some wine into each of the glasses.

Katie looked up. "Oh, hey. Not bad, I guess." After a pause, she said, "I don't think I've officially introduced myself. Katie Southe, plant manipulator. It's Khrys, right?" She didn't know the newcomer very well, except her first name and that she had been some kind of cat-person when they had first met.

Khrys smiles and nods. "Im Khrystin Silver. Most people call my Khrys. Im um..well I have things similar to tigers." Feeling a bit uncomfortable talking about it but continuing. "You mentioned the plants thats why I tried to make a joke." Giving a weak smile.
