BUZZZ! WRONG! It's not about the colour, the colour is a side effect of the presence of melanine, a pigment formed by melanocytes in the skin. Melanine shields the core of the cell and thus the DNA from the harmful UV-rays of the sun. Therefore it prevents sunburn, mutations, and skin cancer. It's why you tan from the sun; the presence of UV leads to the production of melanine, but black people, having evolved in the sunny Africa, have lots of them by nature.lacktheknack said:Actually, white colors REFLECT heat, black ABSORBS heat, so your statement is entirely incorrect.Ekonk said:Black people were around first. Humanity was born in Africa, but the dark skin was unnecessary in the colder regions of the world, so slowly disappeared.
(Also, you're a bit right, because I said 'colder' regions, were I should have said 'less sunny' regions.)
