THe X factor has no sway over me! I am immune! I've been exposed to the X factor for too long. Besides, Z is much better.

What you need is to install Linux on Zune.

Of course, you'd also initiate a Microsoft / open-source paradox that would doom all humanity, but that's another matter.

Pssh. Just five bucks? Whatever happened to the standard billion-gazillion-dollar ransoms that are standard for evil geniuses the world over?

you might have to evaporate a city or two first so everyone knows you are serious in your intent however. Take my city last - at least I gave you the idea!

Evil genius what? I'm virtuous. That's why I'm only charging people five dollars for their life. See, I'm a paragon of mercy.

You giving me the idea won't stop me from annihilating you and everyone you know in a non-existent hellstorm.

Is it? I've never been too sure about HP. I mean, I always knew they were better than Dell, but how well does the netbook hold up?

Yeah, we did a setup on one (I work at the geek squad /flameshield) and it's pretty solid. the SSD is pretty quick. and it's upgradable to 2 gigs of ram, which is more than enough for XP

Now if only they could come out with a netbook with a dvd drive.

Wouldn't that kill the battery dead? I mean, if you're going to bother with an SSD, you might as well keep it with no moving parts except the fans. You can always use an external ODD if you really need to.

Its just wishful thinking, if I really wanted a disk, all I'd have to do is make ISO images and just get an image mounting software. it would just be a nice-ity.

Right. Other than that, how well do they work?

Really quick to boot, and its XP so everything is damned fast. I'd get one if I had the money.
I'd use it primarily for schoolwork, even though I already have a tablet PC.

More to the point now, how well do tablet PC's work? I've never tried one.

They're great (if you can find your fucking stylus X( ) Very responsive to touch, though edge and corner touching gets a bit iffy.

Also, you should always calibrate the screen before use, just so that if you try tapping something one place, you end up clicking something else.

The tablet functionality integrates really well with Microsoft One Note. I use that application to write all my class notes, because I can write faster than I can type most of the time.

I was just wondering, I've been a faster typist than a writer, but it's marginal and either way I'm slow. So I type because it's easier for me.

Did you ever get your mic fixed?
Yes I fixed it myself. And may I say that nothing you told me helped.
Well that stinks. If I had seen you're retardation first hand, I might have been able to help.

You mean like the retardation of saying "you're" instead of "your"? And really, it just invovled fixing an audio setting.
