Entering my demographic (Female, Canada, 1990-1994) gave no results. I suppose they haven't done one for every combination yet.
It means that no female of your age group from Canada made a list yet. You could be the first one :)
Alright, well. Female, Canada, 1990-94.

#1. Shadow of the Colossus
#2. Pokemon Yellow: Special Pikachu Edition
#3. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time/Master Quest
#4. Spyro the Dragon
#5. Tales of Symphonia
#6. Castlevania (NES)
#7. Super Smash Bros. Melee
#8. Pokemon Snap
#9. .hack//Infection Part 1
#10. .hack//G.U. vol. 1//Rebirth

Kind of a manipulated list at this point, ahaha.

Wow...that's strange considering only 3 out of that top ten would I put on my personal top 10 let alone top 25.In fact I absolutely despise most of those games.Half-Life 2 I can't stand,I find portal to be fun but no where near a top 25 game for me.I can't stand any FF games and I think mario is useless drivel only used to kill time...don't get me started on Zelda.
My actual list
1:Morrowind
2:Warcraft 3
3:WoW
4:Rome Total War
5:Medieval Total War 2
6:League of Legends

I'll hope it never comes to that, are you the same demographic as me or are you different demog with same list?
Same demographic. I'm not saying that those are my favorite games ever, because some of them are not (however, some of them are: LttP, Ocarina, FF6, Super Metroid, Castlevania). All of them, though, are dear to my heart and important to the larger evolution of videogames. And of course, my semi-emotional reaction to this is the result of most of these games coming out when I was in my youth and established forever certain benchmarks in advancement and quality. So, yeah, there's that. And call me an asshole but I think every single one of the games on that list is actually "important" in a greater sense. Which means it was awesome being a teen in the 90s, basically.
I hear ya on that, and maybe we're biased, but I'd agree that even the games on the list that I didn't care for I'd still count as good games and like you said "important."

I just thought it'd be really interesting if you got the same list but were a different demographic, it'd verify the supremacy of the 90's :).

1 The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - Havn't played it.
2 Portal - Good game, but not within my top 10.
3 Team Fortress 2 - Yeah, that's about right.
4 Super Smash Bros. Brawl - Only played the original (None-brawl for the Gamecube) and it was a lot of fun, but still not in my top 10.
5 Super Mario 64 - Enjoyable game, not top 10.
6 Forza Motorsport 3 - I don't like racing games, get out of my top 10!
7 Star Wars: Battlefront II - Fun game, but once more not part of my top 10.
8 Battlefield: Bad Company 2 - Although I'd rather have Battlefield 2 on this list, it's not far off.
9 The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask - Played a bit of it as a kid, got confused, stoped playing it. Obviously not part of my top 10.
10 Pokemon Gold and Silver - Played them and they were allright, but far far away from my top 10

I'll pick the United Kingdom since there's no Sweden or Finland on that list...

Male, United Kingdom, 1995-1999:
#1 Morrowind - Damn good game, but absolutely not number one.
#2 Star Wars: Battlefront II - I've never played this.
#3 Fallout 3 - Also damn good, but I would place it lower in the top 10, if I place it in the top 10 at all.
#4 Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic - I have never played this.
#5 Spore - I can't believe this actually made it onto the list.
#6 World of Warcraft - It's good, but I wouldn't include MMORPGS on this list...
#7 Battlefield: Bad Company 2 - Great game, but it wouldn't make my top 10.
#8 The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - Unfortunately I've only played this game once, and it was a long, long time ago. I loved Majora's Mask though, so it wouldn't surprise me if I liked this one just as much.
#9 LittleBigPlanet 2 - I have not played this. I have played the predecessor though, and I quite liked it. I wouldn't put it in my top 10 though.
#10 Half-Life 2 - Top 5, easily. Not sure just how far up I'd place it though.

4.) Final Fantasy X
5.) Elder Scrolls IV
6.) Super Mario Galaxy
7.) Final Fantasy IX

I miss Troika games. Pretty much everything they published, I loved. Temple of Elemental Evil was one of the best adaptations of a 3.5 edition D&D rule-set to a PC game that I have ever seen. I miss turned based, non twitch combat.

6.Super Mario Galaxy
7.Final Fantasy IX
8.Pokemon Gold and silver
9.Mass effect 2
10.Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of time
Yeah, this. Final Fantasy IX, Pokemon Gold and Mass Effect 2 are three of my top 10 best games ever so that's accurate. I also love Ocarina Of Time (though preferred Wind Waker, another of my own top 10) and Oblivion, FFX and SMG are also up there. The only games I've only ever liked rather than loved are the top 3. Funny, that

All Genders (Female didn't work), Canada, 1995-1999

#1. TLoZ Orcania of Time (Played it once at my cousin's house)
#2. Portal (Great game ... but wouldn't be my number two.)
#3. Final Fantasty VI (Have not even played it.)
#4. Kingdom Hearts II (This one might be spot on! ;P)
#5. Paper Mario (Cousin's house again ... but I really enjoyed it.)
#6. StarCraft II (A lot of boys in my grade play this one ... but I don't really like RTS, except for Civilization or SimCity or something or other.)
#7. Boarderlands (Never played it.)
#8. Plants vs. Zombies (Really? I've played it ... Beaten it quite easily, it's an okay game. Not a number eight.)
#9. GTA San Andreas (YES! I never even finished the story for that game ... it was too much fun just ... doing no good. Yes, let's put it that way.)
#10. Super Mario Galaxy (I do not even own a Wii.)

All in all, this list doesn't seem to ... correlate to me.

True, Troika was surely the last the dedicated PC gamestudio (not counting the indy scene and some smaller studios in eastern europe). They are among the great SSI, Sir-Tech and Microprose in my list. Even though their games were buggy as hell when released, you could be sure it wasn't some crap of the ever growing dumbed down fast food games market...

OT: I'm pretty suprised that there isn't a region option for Germany (which is the biggest european game market and 3rd biggest in the world). Although the german game market is now comparable with the us market, the taste in games was very distinct in the late 80-90's.

Male, '80-'84, USA

1. Final Fantasy VI (Is this III?)
2. TLoZ: link to the past
3. Chrono Trigger
4. Super Metroid
5. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
6. Super Mario Bros. 3
7. Final Fantasy VII
8. Final Fantasy Tactics
9. Half-Life 2
10. tLoZ: Ocarina of Time

I really liked 1,2,3,5,7,8, & 9. Felt indifferent to 4 and 10, and really didn't care for 6

So all in all not bad, not what I would have put as my top ten, but surprising as it just had three fields to trim down the demographic.
Same here, which is interesting. Outside of just a couple games this basically reads like my own top 10 list. I guess I don't have as niche of tastes as I thought.
