Well, I don't agree with what Gordon Brown does, but Cameron wouldn't be doing (Or done, for that matter) anything any different...So I'll be voting Lib-Dem when I'm old enough to vote. I dunno why, everything they do seems to be logical and you never hear of a scandal involving Lib-Dems and if you do, they won't be Lib-Dems the next day. ;)

It's starting to look like a little cross in the Monster Raving Looney Party's column is the best use of my vote. Whilst I prefer Brown's Labour to Cameron's Tories, it's like picking Chlamydia over Malaria. And the Lib Dems got rid of Charles Kennedy (old news, I know), so they're obviously committed to not wanting me to vote for them. And as for UKIP, the Greens and the BNP, even though they claim to have policies and the like, I can't help but think of them as one-trick ponies.

So whilst I'm planning to vote, it may come down to jabbing a finger down on the ballot with my eyes closed, and voting for who ever is nearest (and isn't the BNP).
Although I pretty much agree with this, I'll be voting Labour because, lets face it. A vote for anyone besides Labour or Tories is a vote wasted, and seeing as I MUCH prefer Labour to Conservatives I'll have to choose the lesser of two evils.

If the Monster Raving Loony Party had a constituent here in Norwich I'd vote for them, but as it is I'm just going to draw in an extra box and write The Queen.

I honestly don't know, toss up between lib dems and Labour, probably; not voting for the Tories, not voting for UKIP sice I like the EU, definitely not voting BNP, and not voting Green because their "alternative sciences" policies are complete rubbish.

Who is planning to vote? And if so, who for and why?

I am going to vote for the labour party, because despite all their faults (of which there is many) I sincerely believe they have the best interests of the country at heart unlike say the Conservatives who seek only to line their already full pockets.
Vote Lib Dems - they didn't steal hardly anything (Ok, a few Mars bars but compared to Houses and Moots, thats naughty at best).

But, for me, Socialist Worker's Party until Labour slide back to the left.
Me too although we might be waiting a while. However having seen how badly the SWP did in the European elections a while back (I live in the Yorkshire area and as such have a BNP representing me in Europe, a thought which still makes me want to vomit with rage) I may just go for Labour. The idea they might actually bring in some form of electoral reform fills me with hope... and then I remember they've been promising to do this for 13 years now.

The other option is to take up Mark Thomas' idea and to draw your own box and write "I do not have faith in any of the candidates" and put a cross in that one. If you're sick of 2 main parties being pretty much interchangable it's an option and a more positive one than just not voting at all.
Argh, I feel your pain there. I've had enough of the right wing parties gaining votes more left wing parties really deserve - what our country needs.

If a vote for the SWP will end up as just a statistic rather than making any progress, I'll end up ticking "The two main parties are shit" box instead.

Tory, Mark Harper (my local MP) is a decent, honest bloke and actually helps our constituency.
Yeah, despite my dislike of Cameron, my local Tory MP (Oliver Heald) is a pretty decent bloke. He sent me a birthday card and everything when I turned 18 (which was admittedly a mass-produced thing designed to make me look favourably on his party, but it was a damned sight more than any of the others sent me).

I probably won't vote, i would like to but i honestly feel that no real change will come about by Labour or Conservatives. To me its just lots of empty promises to secure votes then then never deliver upon them.

Doesn't matter who we vote for. We still going to end up for a useless party that fuck up our country.

So Monster Raving Loony Party it is!

I am going to vote yet im am currently undecided, but what i can tell you is that i currently hate this country and the state its in.

Labour - Definately NOT getting my vote, as with every UK government after long period in charge their reign must end as they have nicely led the UK into the doldrums. Also Gordon Brown... my pubic hair has more charisma and i just plain dont like him.

Tories - Is Cameron Tony Blair Mark 2? i generally think he wants to go for that, trying to be everyones mate i think MP's need to learn that they aren't "cool" and "down" with youth culture so dont embarress yourself and your party trying to be their friend.

Lib Dem - Nick Clegg?? erm no thx. Im not in love with their current policies and not a fan of the party as a whole.

UKIP - LOL nahhhhhh your alright.

BNP - I think we'll leave Facist Western European Governments in the 1940's thank you very much.

Green - Their ideas on the enviroment are ok but as a government nah.

Monster Raving Loony Party - ..... well erm.... they dress funny so... thats something i guess.

Generaly you can see all the parties im not too hot on, most MP's aren't seen in the best light given the expenses scandal, so really no matter who wins not much will change this country will still be in the crapper.

I'll be voting labour, mostly because I don't like the tory policies, not that they say much other than "this can't go on". A vote for any of the other parties is just a middle-man vote for labour anyway so I may as well make it count, this election is a two horse race.

I sure hope one of my lecturers doesn't find out about this, he is the tory MP for my area and their candidate for Westminster, he might fail me out of spite.

Probably Lib Dem. There is no way Labour will get in in my constituency as they have never had an MP here, and I hate both the national Conservative Party and our Conservative MP.

Me too. And yes, I would vote Labour if I was about 2 months older. 2 Reasons, one because my MP is currently Labour and is in a fairly safe seat (although not as safe as before the redistricting) and secondly because I support the Labour party much more than the Tories. Although I would like to support the Lib Dems too in the hope of making them more of a challenge to the Tories. Ah, it's times like this that I wish Brown's AV system would get passed through Parliament

They may be slightly irrelevant but there is definitely the air of incompetence about him.
"A politician's greatest strength is to appear less intelligent than he really is"

Is that even a quote or did I just invent that? Either way I bet Brown's smarter than a lot of people think.

On that note, I might vote for the good old Labour party....who knows.

Will definitely vote though.

EDIT: Google brings nothing, so apparently I just coined that. Neat.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this.

Anyway, i won't be voting at all. It's a lose-lose situation.

I'm voting for Labour. Lib-Dems, Greens, SNP etc. will never make an impact in Westminster and with the current system, its almost a wasted vote. Particularly when the Clegg has said the Lib Dems won't join a coalition. And the day I vote for the Tories is the day I fall on my sword.

[sub][sub][sub]And I rather like Gordon Brown. So sue me[/sub][/sub][/sub]
You're now my new favourite person on the Escapist.

I agree with that guy. Gordon Brown really isn't a bad leader. And almost every decision this generation is grateful for was a labour law. I'd rather lose a testicle than vote tory.

So far my vote goes to anyone who isn't Cameron (or, and this goes without saying, the BNP)

He's a damned populist, and will say anything for his own ends. Specifically anything that was in the papers recently. Where are your concrete policies? The ones that don't require a segway into?

Granted a lot of politicians do that, but there is something ever so seedy about the way he says things.
