I paid $32.67 for a XBOX 360 and my mom got a 17 inch Toshiba laptop for $94.83 being delivered to our house tomorrow by FedEX. I will never again pay expensive retail prices at stores. I even sold a 46 inch HDTV to my boss for $650 and it only cost me $52.78 to get. Here is the website we using to get all this stuff, GetCent.com

For me, it was Doom. I love that game.

THIS...WIN!!! this probably sparked my interest cos it was the first game i found that had more than 3 difficulty levels, also all the secrets to find in each level kept me playing at it for hours

I think after I finished Metal Gear Solid for the PSone I officially declared myself a gamer. Before all I did was game, but after finishing that game when I was 9 or 10. I had beaten Crash Bandicoot games, Medal of Honor, etc, but it wasn't until Metal Gear Solid that I had actually felt scared in the game (Psycho Mantis parts), or even sad (Otacon). It sort of opened my eyes on what gaming was. Now I can't picture my life without gaming, from epic games like Metal Gear Solid, to sports games like MLB, it's just something I can't really live without.

The Quake games for PC gaming.
For consoles it was Zone of the Enders, and some... thing were you play some lizard, dinosaur... thing, and your trying to rescue furry... things from a giant furry... thing. That's literally all that I could remember about it. Though Zone of the Enders is a good game if you don't mind the fact you play a little boy who stumbled into a flying robot fighter mech. I could sit here typing all the things I like about Zone of the Enders for at least half an hour, though it also has a lot of issues, mostly control issues.

Panzor Dragon for the sega saturn was my first game.

The combination of the wonderfull music mixed with the awesomeness of riding a dragon made me dream about becoming a hero. Then real life got in the way.

It was also a really hard game to play so I could never get past the second level but i kept trying.

I think the game you can't name was Croc. I remeber begging my parents for it on my birthday.
Funny just noticed the post above me also talked about Croc

Command and Conquer. Before that came out I had a NES and then a SNES, but when C&C came out I started playing it almost religiously.

Commander Keen.

Well I suppose I started gaming before Commander Keen but really that's the one(series) game that got me truly hook on gaming.

Spyro the goddamn dragon. The first one, with the gimmicky polygonal lettering. The first game I can remember playing and beating. I almost got to 100%, and would have if it weren't for those flying sections I just couldn't 100% complete. And then we lost the memory card. But I still played the game, and I'm certain almost everyone here has heard of the story of how I speedran it in four hours over and over again.

I would mow down crowds of kittens to get to the entire trilogy, with compatible console and memory card. I would probably do the same if it were Katamari Damacy, but that's off-topic.

I didn't play games for very long, or with as much feeling, and I didn't even try to pay attention to the plot line until The Legend of Mana, which I got me into playing games on my own. Not just multiplayer games with my family and friends, but just some me-time.

Ed the Ball on the ZX spectrum, basically a disembodied head jumping from one platform to the next.

Sonic the Hedgehog on the Sega Genesis. Don't remember the exact circumstances since it was so long ago.
