I'd be royally fucked. Living in close proximity to a very densely populated major city kind of has a bit of a downside when the nuclear holocaust is upon us.

Even if I did survive, I'd just have a few painful, irradiated hours to live before I died of radiation poisoning.

Maybe hopefully, there might be enougth people so that the genepool allows more than just wading...probably try to round up animal companions and attempt to teach then things like inteligence and the ability to use and construct their own tools, maybe if they're advanced enougth, they'll have their own community....at first, maybe cats, dogs and other small creatures, and eventually maybe Monkeys and Gorillas...probably a long shot, but it might work.


EDIT: perhaps before i do any of that, get some transport, gather non-perishable food, a generator, can opener (extremely important), and a nice hat and coat to resist the nuclear winter, something of a silky trenchcoat and a beret!

you're the last survivor, you've got no-one to talk to. Ok, what else to do? No electricity, most books would probably be burnt up, no where to keep shelter (assuming all houses are destroyed), most food and water is iradiated, and pockets of lethal radiation are everywhere. The first thing I do is try and find a weapon that is quick at killing and painless as possible (gun prefered). Then use it on my self before the horrible radiation poisoning.
Really that may be depressing but everyone is like "oh, I'll take up shelter and tame animals and live comfortably by my self." Really? You'd die very VERY quickly, and most likely painfully, so try and find a way to end it quickly.
And if by some miracle you find food and suplies you would very quickly go insane by the horror of the end of the world, all your loved ones dying and never seeing another living being again.

Well I'm going to assume that I wouldn't die of radiation poisoning so here's what I'd do:
Learn to fly. So I can travel.
Stop by some game companies and play some unreleased games.
Stop by my local Porn shop.
Stop by a HUGE mall and get a lot of stuff.
Travel the world.
Entertain myslef with all my loot.
Loot all the buildings/houses I want to.
Do some random shit.
Then finally: Bullet, meet brain.

The world is mostly intact apart from the nuclear craters and we will argue for the sake of it that you are weirdly immune to irradiation.
So what do you do?

I would get myself an F1 car and drive it everywhere so I can get everywhere on land and just get a tonne of cool stuff like all the experimental stuff in research labs see if there is anyway to re-populate the human race.

I would masturbate for a while, then slowly go insane while driving my car 150 on the highway. What else would I do?

Also, take a lot of acid to trip out and think my friends and loved ones still exist.

So, pretty much play real life GTA, except instead of having people to talk to, I cry myself to sleep when the day is over.

I'd gloat. Then I'd live a few increasingly miserable months as my feeling of self satisfaction for being the ONLY survivor diminishes. Get a car, scavenge food, fuel and weapons, travel a bit, get bored, die of natural causes. Yeah, that about covers it.

N.B. Bullet to the head is to be considered natural in the circumstances. Or maybe a drug overdose. Hell, if there's nothing to live for, might as well go down enjoying myself.

Reclaim whatever I can find that's left of the space program and see if I can leave this dead world behind. Plot a course for Alpha Centauri. Sure, I almost certainly won't survive the trip, but that's no reason not to go; not when there's nothing left behind me.

And maybe I'll try and put myself into stasis, so if some aliens eventually find me, they can revive me
