"I'm disappointed that I only got two new forms." Jantra said in English. "Unless..."

Jantra picked a rifle off of the ground and held it out to the officer on the ground. "I don't suppose you still want to kill me?" Jantra said in Japanese.

"I don't care how you survived, but I will ensure it does not happen again." Grant said from behind Ribbon.

The officer used his sword to kill himself.

Ignoring the fleeing Japanese Jack walked up to Maria and Jantra.

[color=blue]Call me crazy, but did that guy just say Okinawa?[/color]

Jantra tried to use his healing spell to save the soldier, but he was already dead. "Damnit! What a waste of life. I would have just let him be if he had said something!" Jantra exclaimed, clearly upset over the man's death.

He looked at Jack's note. "Yes, he did. Something is happening with some... magic stuff, causing us to move between worlds and through time. Contrary to what Grant believes, I don't know what's causing it nor can I fix it."

"Well...Poo...I can read Chinese, but not Japanese." She folded her arms and pouted, "Two completely different things, y'know?"

[color=blue]It's just that if he DID say Okinawa, and Mr 'Master Swordsman' isn't playing dressup with a bunch of his mates...then we might be in serious trouble.[/color]

Jack waited a few moments for Jantra and Maria to read the paper, then bent and grabbed the officer's belt. Shrugging off his jacket (leaving an impressive array of scars across his chest on display) Jack thread the belt through his jeans, picked up the officers discarded katana and slid it back into its sheath.

[color=blue]I suggest we gather the others and get moving.[/color]

Jack handed the fresh piece of paper to Maria and shrugged his jacket back on.

"Right away, Mr. Mute!" Maria extended her shining index finger skyward. She body emitted a white light then slowly her light became more and more red, her finger as well. Maria shot three bright red orbs of light into the sky that circled her, Jack, and Jantra. "Emergency lights: Maria Edition!" She said proudly, blowing imaginary smoke off her finger and holstering it in her grocer's outfit.

Cait crawled out of the palanquin and approached the group. "Do any of you have any clue what's going on?" she asked.

Jack would probably find the sword was very cheap and practically useless.

Considering everyone was still in the most heavily defended and populated Japanese base on Okinawa, Maria's lights did more to attract more soldiers than anything else. The new ones that showed didn't know who these people were, so they pointed guns at them.

Can't stay hiding in the jungle like this. Some jap's bound to find me sooner or later. Better get better cover. That building should do.

OOC: So now he's going into the building that was once the barbershop.

"Hmm. Well, they can't kill me, but I can't speak for you three. Any ideas?" Jantra said.

"Aaaaaaaah! I wasn't thinking! Mute, you take Cuteness and Mecha to somewhere safe! I'll catch up with you!" Two blades of white light sprouted from Maria's wrists. She lunged, without thinking, at the line of fire pointed at her friends, slicing the barrels with her blades. She then materalized a horizontal wave of light, pretty much harmless, but enough to make push them back aways, toward the army.

"You two go ahead. I think I'll stay and watch. I'll offer assistance only if she needs it." Jantra said to Jack and Cait. walked over to a nearby wall and casually leaned against it. "Oh, one more thing... Jack, was it? I have a better blade, if you want it."

The soldiers were pretty thoroughly panicked and started fleeing all over again.

"Yeah, you better run!" Maria screamed, firing off a volley of lights orbs at the fleeing army. "Tell your leader Maria O'Connor sent you running!"

Jack shot a grin at Jantra, and half pulled the katana back out of its sheath, showing the shapeshifter that the formerly shitty sword now, while not of the greatest quality, would probably hold up in an actual battle. Resheathing the sword Jack gave a mock salute before taking off back towards the (former) barbershop.

OOC: So anyway...

I go inside the building, trying to stay low and be fast as I duck in. Pretty big and pretty dark. Should be a good enough spot to lay low. Some stairs in the corner. Better check the place out entirely before I settle in. So I walk down the steps with my Thomson ready.

Grant heard the steps, so he froze the basement door shut behind the newcomer, trapping all of them in the basement once again.

"You. Step into the light. Now." Grant said, his frozen armor already forming. He pushed Ribbon aside. "And give me a reason not to kill you"

"...Well, I'm not Japanese." I say to this strange man. Instinctively I aim my Thomson at his chest. He did something to the door behind me, but how would he take a few 45. rounds to the chest? Hopefully I won't have to find out. "Just who are you people anyway?" I ask, seeing at least three white civilians in this basement. Seeing even one would have left me completely surprised.

"I don't think you're in any place to ask questions." Grant said. As he spoke, ice began filling the barrel and inner workings of the gun. "You look like a soldier. A pawn. You follow orders, not bothering to think for yourself. You may be useful. So tell me, who is it that you swear loyalty to, and why?"
