Halo 3. A decent game made out to be the messiah of games. Bad campaign, bad matchmaking, story was ruined. Forge would not as great as it should have been, but was ok.
I have to agree with all of this, but I can't comment on Forge. I never found putting objects on a map, but not being able to alter the map itself, to be entertaining.
Ive been able to make some really good things on forge. I do agree though, Its not as much fun as being able to tear down an unnecessary wall.

I have 2.

Halo - Average sci-fi shooter. The story was bland, at best. Controls were pretty tight, which was good. Other than that, it didn't do anything better than Unreal Tournament did 4 years earlier.

Fallout 3 - Terrible blend of FPS with RPG elements. I also never got the point of "Pause the game, aim for head, 75% chance of instant death to creature." Pathfinding was more of a pain than Far Cry 2, and the overall questing and story were dull, to say the least.
All true. Perfect. Well, except for the VATS system. I did like that... but that was all.

The Sim City/Sims series. I know they are crazy popular, but I have always been bored by them.
Strike that, any game by Will Wright has not been epic to me.
Spore in particular. It was fun for a while I guess.

Condemned, Halo, and World of Warcraft. They were mediocre, but they were far from perfect for me.

Link games.... Or twilight Princess games, whatever you call it...

I just never liked them.

And I'll never see the attractive-ness of a teenage boy who cannot speak, save the world and grunt for a living...

I played the game for Ness... For N64, and Game cube... And I just found them boring. I know that millions of people like the game, but I guess I'll never find the interest.

Eh, it's just the hype of it. I bet lots of people would consider it a good-- Heck maybe even the best game...

I frankly do not.

Edit sorry... I meant to quote someone... I'm not here to have a flame war about Twilight Princess. D:

The CoD series (same old, same old)
The Halo series (over-hyped, but not a bad game per-say),
WoW (more addictive than fun),
Fallout 3 (average gameplay with a rubbish ending),
Bioshock (I played the game through using only the wrench, and no RPG elements).

I don't understand why a lot of people don't enjoy the Half-Life series; I assume most here are people under the age of 20 that never got to play the original Half-Life in it's prime time (including the expansions), and that most here probably never played some of the fantastic mods created for the Half-Life engine (Natural Selection specifically), but in no way is the Half-Life series bad.

I'm currently replaying through Half-life 2 to Episode Two and so far, the weakest point was probably Episode One. I'm almost finished with Episode Two, but even though I've played through the games a good 5+ times now, I still enjoy them as much as I used to, especially Episode Two.

As someone said, you have to immerse yourself in the Half-Life story to realise it's potential for greatness. 99% of people who play Half-Life 2 just think "lal aliens kill and gorden freemun attack bak lolz" when really there is a hell of a lot more to it than just that. If you seek out and try to understand the story, you'll realise that it's a story that could continue on indefinitely and could go anyway.

I think the biggest problem, though, is that if you haven't grown up with certain Half-Life elements from the original game, most of the sequel won't mean that much to you. EG: Barney offering you a beer, Dr. Magnusson and the microwave casserole, the Vortigaunts now being allies and, of course, the G-Man.

You can't even play through HL2 for the first time these days, because it's 4 years old. Half-Life created first-person scripted events (in which you can still move around), the gravity gun, real-time manipulative physics and some very fantastic and unique weaponry. And even if in this day and age the gameplay doesn't quite match... err... Crysis? I can't really think of a game that's more fun than Half-Life... ahem, even if it doesn't match up, it still should be appluaded for being fantastic.

Ranting aside, I think if you just throw yourself into the Half-Life series and say "I'm gonna see what everyone is talking about... blah blah blah, shoot that guy, I don't care about you Alyx so shut up... kill that headcrab and attack that zombie" then, of course, you aren't going to enjoy it. But that's the same as any game out there, and I've found that if you try a game with a negative attitude then you're only going to get negativity out of it. Hype can be bad for a game, and if you try a game thinking it's the best thing in the world ever even though it's 4 years old, then of course you're going to be a little disappointed.

Heh, there's a reason both the Half-Life games have 96/100 on Metacritic.

if someone says portal THEY WILL FEEL MY WRATH, that game was amazing
oh god....wrath you say, this is gona end up with me in a dumpster...I thought portal was good, but it was very gimicky, and the novelty wore off on me very quickly. I think what made it as popular as it was was the fact that it was included in the orange box, which was a very reasonalbe price for everything you were getting in it. TBH it was a frickin steal pricewise, but if it was a stand alone game for a regualar price tag I dont think i would have rushed out to buy it, waited til it came down to discount price and then snap it up
HAHA DISREGARD THAT I SUCK COCKS.

Also, Grand Theft Auto 4. (Hey Nico! I eez very annoyeeng!)
I liked the older ones where everything are from a birds eye view. Made me lawl killing people with a flame thrower. XD

Gawd... What a cheap game.

But you're right... GTA4 bored me... And I don't mind just going around flaming people's asses... Randomly just making yourself go to 5 stars and jump into swimming pool hundreds of feet in the air and not dying...
It's runs it self out after a while...

Halo, personally. Didn't see the big deal. Sure, it plays nicely, but it's not like the greatest thing on the planet.

"the voice of that one guy"

What, you mean the glorious tones of Steven Fry? xD

They saved an otherwise boring set of tutorials from becoming tedious! :D
