Every day the same dream. At least with other games you have shooting. At least you had some form of combat or dialogue system and maybe the dialogue was hilarious.
Every day the same dream has you as a nameless, faceless office worker who lives in a gray and white (yes, they didn't even fit brown in there) world where all he does is go to work and you have 5 different things you can do to mix up the routine.
That might sound interesting, except that the only fun looking thing is going to work in your underwear. The other 4 are going to the left before the parking lot to meet a homeless man who takes you to a graveyard, catching a leaf, petting a cow, and committing suicide, not that you'll see or hear your guy hit the ground because that would be somewhat satisfying and this is an angsty art game so anything satisfying or fun is purposefully omitted so it can hammer home the message that life sucks.
And to end this off, would any of you ever fantasize about being a fucking miserable office worker? Would any of you dream of going to work, day after day, as a miserable accountant? Would any of you dream doing all of that in a world devoid of any colors except white and various shades of gray (seriously, they didn't even fit brown in). Yeah, it's got symbolism. So the fuck what? Everything can have symbolism in it if you put your mind to it. In fact you probably don't have to put your mind to it because people read into stuff anyways, but people still tell me I should like this game because it's unique and/or artsy. Unique doesn't mean good.
Other people tell me "Dude, it's 5 minutes, calm down". Well, that's true if you know all the clues, but if you don't you'll probably go to work 5 times and then quit and do something actually entertaining. Plus, if the one thing you can find that's good about a game is "At least it's short", then that game has a serious problem. "It's short" is not usually a good thing for a game. So why is it used as a defense here? I guess because nobody wants a longer game about being an office worker. And frankly, I don't blame them, because this game was total shit. It's not even a game. It's an interactive going to work simulation masquerading as art and as a game. But it's really just a boring slog through bland and colorless scenery followed by an ending that's supposed to be a mindfuck, but just leaves you confused about what the fuck you even played it for in the first place. It just sucks. Plain and simple.
