Sorry, those were poor examples. I don't tend to play many AAA games for other reasons too, I just forgot that the ones I listed were PC related. My bad! I'm generally just not interested in AAA gaming itself these days unless the game itself draws me in, not just "It's another CoD, MUST BUY!!!" thing. But, I don't own a 360 or PS3 (anymore) either way, so I wouldn't be able to experience many console AAA games, even if I wanted to.BakaSmurf said:

As I said I bought it last week (PC version), so indeed I played the extended DLC version. I'm not saying the original didn't suck (I honestly don't know), I'm just telling people not to keep away from the entire series because the original last 10 minutes, of a nearly 40 hours series, were bad. All of the games we're talking about are RPG's. Dragon Age's gameplay is even very similar to KotOR's gameplay, the original Mass Effect is more RPG then it is shooter, as not having points invested into a particular firearm type will make a gun of that type worthless in a character's hand, and not having points invested into skills will render you incapable of unlocking certain doors and loot chests, robbing you of potentially kick-ass gear for trying to play it as a pure shooter.Aetheora said:

Also, if you like action RPG's, I'd recommend Dark Souls, which is available on the PC. It's an excellent and truely challenging game if you've been feeling like games have been getting too easy nowadays. I'd also recommend Demon's Souls, but you don't own a PS3, so whatev's.
For a new player that hasn't invested in any other Mass Effect game, maybe. For those like myself that have been loyal fans from the start the original ending was a swift kick to the 'nads, followed by twelve more kicks to the 'nads after you'd fallen on the ground in shock, horror, and pain. It damn near did retroactively ruin the entire franchise in one fell swoop, literally nullifying every single achievement you had aquired across all three games and throwing both the driving message behind the entire story as well as Shepard's established character (you seriously did not get an option to argue with the Star Child in the original ending, and Shepard just nodded along with it offering nothing in the way of a counter-arguement) the extended cut was a massive improvement, but the original really was as terrible as everyone says it was.Eleuthera said:

Action RPG's might be the better term, yes. Although I love The Legend of Zelda, and Majora's Mask was my fave one of the series. I dunno, it's hard for me to explain, and my likes or dislikes can be odd at times considering I might not like a genre, save for a game or two. I mean, The 3rd Birthday is an Action RPG and it's probably my fave game for the PSP, or at least my second fave. It's weird, I know XD Also, I tried Dark Souls when I had a PS3. I haaaaaaaaaaaaaaated it, returned it within a few days. I just couldn't do the difficulty, I wasn't have any fun. And when I play a game, it's to have fun. I can do challenging, I enjoy me some Etrian Odyssey 4 for its challenge, but it's fun at the same time. Part of me was hoping this to be a discussion about how PC's rarely seem to get crippled in any way regardless of all the horrendous injuries they sustain due to our failure to dodge all the pointy stuff enemies throw at us. And yes, I am well aware there are games who do this and I applaud them for it ^^

Platinum's stage has the fabled Hype Dog barking on in the background, making it my third favourite stage in the game next to Hazama and Makoto's stages (Makoto's is best obviously.) Not that I see many Platinums online though. It's a load of Tagers, Jins and Ragnas, all spread out in a line with an occasional break with a Lambda or fucking Hakumen.
Then I end up with a Hazama vs Hazama mirror match and my god are they BROKEN. CHAINS EVERYWHERE! WHERE THE HELL ARE WE GOING?!
Name a game, and there's a large chance I haven't played it. As such, I do not understand the majority of the completely unfunny pieces of rubbish that gets passed off as 'memes' and I likely never will.
