Postal 2... It's really terrible but it's so awesome to be able to kick people in the back and make them vomit with your pee, also you can stick a shotgun up a cat's rear end, and it has that awesome cow head weapon!

Wait... people don't like Metro 2033?

Wow. This is not something I would have expected after playing it.

The S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series, even though most people I've met who've played it claims it be too buggy.
That, and the most recent Alone in the Dark. Just like it for some reason.
STALKER has come to be one of the biggest cult classics in videogames in recent years. There's a reason why it's got such a dedicated group of modders and fans.
I found it too buggy to play but then I found a mod that fixed pretty much everything, Clear Sky complete, i think it's called.

OP Other M, stupid story but loved the gameplay
I see what you did wrong quite clearly, you got Clear Sky. I'd strongly advice you to get Call of Pripyat or Shadow of Chernobyl first, both are much better.

Two Worlds.

Bahahaha, who am I kidding? No one loves that monstrosity!
I did. I am not kidding. I have never laughed so hard at a game. The dialogue was amazingly funny. I had a ton of fun playing it.

Not even The Escapist liked it! [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/editorials/reviews/7423-Review-Metro-2033]

Just watch and weep, as everyone else who played the game has done.

Will agree with Prototype; Yes, it was a bit disjointed and yet "samey", but when you strung your powers together to form the perfect attack pattern devastating everything within the nearest mile in 30 seconds. Holy crap it's awesome.

Darksiders; Everyone who are wailing at Nintendo to make a more grown up Legend of Zelda, play this. Nintendo are never going to do it.

Beyond that it's mainly the "cult classics" games that are loved by those who are into that kind of stuff, and utterly shunned by everyone else.

ArmA 2 (Not so much the first one, since it didn't receive enough love and attention after launch)
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
Metro 2033
Mount and Blade
And a few that aren't really like this, they're just kinda old and forgotten long before their time.

Resistance 2. Within the Resistance fanbase (and recent R3 previews) there's a lot of hate for it, because of the colours, or the health regen, or the switch to two weapons, everyone seems to have their own different reason to hate it. I, however, think that while I suck so badly at it I can't even finish it on normal, it's a great game. The series wouldn't be as good without the way Resistance 2 stands out from the others. (but that's a point I'd have to go in depth to explain)

FFXIII is definitly one, though I've only heard hatred for it on the internet comments.

IN sales, reviews and just talking to people its done well from what I've seen., most people I talk to either like or love it. XD It's hard to gauge really. Definitly not the bomb the fanboys make it out to be, it's overall a great game.

I liked Sonic Riders as well, yeah it's kinda buggy, but I genuinely have a lot of fun with the game.

If my playtime in the other thread didn't tip people off... FFXI.

The plot of some of the questlines/expansions are actually better than FF13's. And these expansions were made 7 years ago.

I dunno if it was exactly disliked, or it just fell flat on it's face, but I really like Battlefield 2142. It could have been so much better in my opinion haha but it was fun.

Dynasty and Samurai Warriors games.

Although I do admit that the Dynasty Warriors series in particular is going through some tough and experimental times.
Wait...people bash Dynasty Warriors? WE MUST BURN THEM FOR THEY ARE HERETICS!

OT: I dunno if I can really think of any that get bad reviews. I'm a fan of several sleeper games that few people have heard of though they generally get solid reviews. Stuff like Defense Grid and Dwarfs!?

I for one have always liked the 3D sonics, I can understand why some people hate them but I always enjoy them.
Also I love Other M, I thought it was one of the best Metroid games in the series.
