Yea... that just means "long." I know "epic" is a cool sounding word and all, but if swaping a word out for a synonym makes you sound retarded... "LONG as in the LONG BATTLES! and the LONG storyline!
Yea... that just averages "long." I know "epic" is a self-controlled sounding word and all, but if bartering a word out for a synonym makes you sound retarded...

See? I can use the synonyms of contextually wrong definitions of the words someone else uses to make their sentences sound retarded too!
Yea, but that still makes sense. It just takes a second to process, as the way you're speaking is outside the public norm.

the rampant overuse of "epic" just makes people look retarded or really, really impressed by "long" things.

Especially considering '4chan' is the only reason people are saying that word...

You completely missed the point I was trying to make. To be a little clearer, "epic" does not only mean "long". In fact, it only specifically means "long" in relation to the classification of an epic poem. When you call something like LotR epic, you're saying it is great in scope. It covers an impressive amount of information and events. I agree that "epic" is misused and overused on the internet, but you're still wrong.

...
A: "epic is over/misused"
B: "no, you're wrong."
A: "elaborate?"
B: "epic is actually over/misused."
A: *backs away slowly*

EDIT: Never mind, don't care anymore.

Another thing I've loved about the aughts is the ease of communication between people all over the world. It's completely changed the way people interact with each other and their governments, and it's the driving force behind all those wonderful changes to the music industry.

The 00's weren't as bad as it seems. It was just following such an awesome decade that it looks bad by comparison :D

The end of 90's music. Way better internet. Spongebob Squerepants and Avatar: The Last Airbender. Why? Because all the other cartoons in 2000-2010 suck. I hope that era will end like music in certain other era's. We need better ones. AH! We do have good movies like Dark Knight. But also dumb remakes...

In music there was Chop Suey!, B.Y.O.B, and Toxicity to name a few.

Also no matter what haters say, Halo was a good thing to come out of the 2000s.

Gaming became unoriginal. Music became awful. Films became shovelware.

Nope, awful decade. Sorry to be a negative nancy, but there really wasn't much good about it.
Dude, everyone only remembers the good parts of past decades. The only reason you find the 2000s lame is because it's still recent history. Eventually you'll look at it through the rosy shades of nostalgia too.
