Things In Gaming That Make You Sad

What is it in the world of gaming that upsets you or makes you sad? Is it a once beloved franchise getting beaten to death? Is it a genre? A type of player?

For me, I hate watching EA continue to run Medal of Honor into the ground. I used to love the franchise but now I just get upset everytime I see a new one's been announced. I wish they'd just let it go.

I also dislike players that feel it's necessary to just scream into their headset for no reason whatsoever....makes me cry in agony.

A lack of games to play...

I have only recently begun earning enough money to buy more than say, one game every couple of months, and now that i have i realize there are too few games i actually want to spend my money on. I'm not into FPSs too much, and other than that, there just isn't enough half-decent games out there, or that's how it seems anyways.

It's actually sad enough for me to not play any Sonic games. I do occasionally watch pokecapn and gang stumble through parts of the newer games, but that's more for comedic value.

Reboots that make no sense and kill an entire series. Questions left unanswered because of laziness or poor writing. Adding new characters that make no sense and don't add anything to the story. This new trend of putting the label "RPG" on games that clearly aren't RPGs. Developers butchering great ideas and games because the publishers want to make more money...

I have more but I'd get depressed/upset/angry.

Obsessive, creepyfuck fanbases.

Interesting, innovative, or at least expressive games getting backshelfed in favor of yet another MW/CoD/or WW2 based shooter. Yeah I know it's the market that drives the industry and what's popular is what sells, but goddamnit, c'mon, at least mix it up a little.

I hate how they keep making those Dragon Quest things, like we actually give a damn about them >_> Same for the WoW expansions. Your just killing more of the worlds populations man!!!

Also the Guitar Heroes, since I actually got into it by the 3rd game.

C&C4

They just couldn't help themselves. They had to kill it before it was over. C&C3 was pretty good.. considering Westwood Studios was gone.

I can't bring myself to touch C&C4.. even for $5 on Steam. When I read about the changes, I was done... A very sad and quiet end to a great franchise.

Activision closing down Bizarre Creations, a creative branch of people who only did what they were told only to be shot like dogs.

Then there's Nintendo banking off nostalgia instead of getting off their asses and making something fun again.

When developers constantly streamline (dumb-down) sequels. I know this doesn't always happen, but when it does, it sucks.

The game still could be good though, but for once I'd like to see things evolve.

-Ridiculous fan service and idealized bodies (both male and female).
-Lack if interesting/compelling female characters and leads.
-The overpopulation of shooters in gaming (I like them, but it's getting old fast).
-Elitist gamers who treat people who like games (but aren't GOOD at them) like shit.

PC games getting dumbed down as so many of them are ports from consoles.

Oh, and so much this: No more NHL games on PC after NHL09. That was a serious blow.
