Bioware, for making me use that horrible car, one that was so bad I couldn't even play the game. Also for giving me access to every gun, without a fucking targeting reticule. I love Mass Effect 2, but ME1 was a unforgivable sin upon mankind.
Every gun I used in Mass Effect had a targeting reticule and the only trouble I had driving the Mako was when I drove off a bridge after pressing the wrong button.
I played it as a vanguard, not a soldier.

Big the Cat and Amy in Sonic Adventure. I get the whole thing with wanting to have many playable characters, but these two served no purpose what so ever and didn't add anything worthwhile to the game as a whole. Also who the hell thought it was a good idea to make a character whose main mechanic is fishing in a series that built it's reputation on speed and action?

The laughing scene from Final Fantasy X. So, so, so terrible...

Lost Odyssey's refusal to end. I really enjoyed the game, but after a while it started to lose momentum and I thought that it would be a good idea to end it fairly soon. But no, the bastard just kept on going, and when it asked me to climb yet another tower, I just gave up. Unfortunately I never got back into it, and given that I really liked the game up until this point, I loath it for making me, well, loath a game I really liked.

I got plenty more but these will do for now.

Flying or swimming in game. It has yet to be done correctly (or at least in my opinion). The physics behind it are just messed up, and frustrating.
Are you just talking about characters flying around? Because if not I think to this day the Ace Combat series have nailed down flying around the sky.

assassins creed brotherhoods laziness by using the fact in the second you didnt kill rodrigo borgia because your a sissy to use his son to create a new game from it. why? so much easier to strangle the bastard and come up with a new storyline.
You know Brotherhood takes place almost immediately after AC2, so if Ezio did kill Borgia it would have zero impact on the fact that his son is now the primary antagonist? It was partly done for character development, partly because Borgia didn't die in the year that AC2's ending takes place.

Let's just get rid of the other false pretenses too that people seem to have:

- This is a spin-off, not AC3
- It isn't AC 2.5 just because it's still set in Italy, it has it's own storyline and some major gameplay additions
- The mutliplayer mode doesn't take away from development on the singleplayer because it's been developed by a different team
- Oh, and this isn't even the first spin-off, the rest were just on handhelds.

[small]If people ***** about this game anymore without actually looking into it I will punch a goat.[/small]

Also, proper grammar is your friend.

Modern Warfare 2, for being a very well marketed but poorly developed and extremely overpriced game (with overpriced dlc).

It set a standard that now modern fps developers can switch to peer to peer, restrict mod support, restrict player numbers to 18, have short campaigns, and still be sold for full price.

Also 1200MS for 3 new maps and 2 revamped CoD4 maps per map pack? Fuck you Activision, and fuck the fanbase for contributing to the decline in the standards of gaming.

Every class has access to every weapon, but only certain classes can gain proficiency with them. Only the Soldier can use every weapon effectively. As I was a Vanguard, I could only gain proficiency in pistols and shotguns. I didn't even have a targeting reticule when using the sniper rifle or the assault rifle. Made me a sitting duck when it came to enemies, as most had assault rifles.

But the worst to me: The decision to make Thief: Deadly Shadows with the Unreal2 engine, which utterly destroyed the possibility of keeping the large levels, made Garett die instantly in water and generally messing the game up no end.
Actually, the level size wasn't due to the Unreal 2 engine- it was because of the port to the XBox and its 64MB of memory. I played a Fan Mission for T:DS that was easily as large as many for Thief 1 and 2.

The water thing, though... yeah, that was just stupid.
No, its not true. I only played the PC version and went through some detail of reading ttlg and the general consensus was that large levels were impossible (on any platform) because of the engine. Yes, you could link large levels together using several areas, but that really isn't the same, is it?
Here's a video [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UeJ9vIqSYxE] of the FM I'm talking about. It's kind of hard to tell just from the montage, but the bridge area and surrounding buildings amount to a fair amount of real estate- much larger than what seemed evident from the retail missions.

I do agree that enormous, sprawling, open-air missions would be impossible unless ridiculously optimized and simplified (the engine just wouldn't be able to handle THAT much real-time lighting without chugging on anything shy of a Cray), but I think that had the game seen development only for the PC, we would have had noticably larger levels.

The ending of Assassin's Creed 1. Was I seriously the only one who was absolutely sure that the old man would betray you?

The fact I want to put A gun so powerful to the head of Modern warfare 2 that no ammount of hacking or infinity wards "Realism" could stop its brains from splattering on my frying pan and then me eating them!. But really the last time I checked, 50. caliber Rounds from 50 yards kill you in 1 shot and you explode in gore, not f***ing 3 and and then just fall over and I dont think the worlds most powerful force in the galaxy( U.S.) ***** like 10 year olds either

I was there when that happened. My friend and I played that game together, and that was the reason we both quit. What a terrible idea they had, a monu-MENTAL screw up.

Getting trough the story of Assassins Creed 2, only to find out it was aliens. There wasn't even a hint before hand, and the story had been fairly solid up until that point. Way to take the Lucas approach to writing a story. Aliens..... seriously.... at the very end of the game.....

Wii games that are ports from 360/Ps3, since they generally turn out inferior to the 360/ps3 versions. Also, games that try make to make the Wii more than a casual gaming console.

(no, i don't like the Wii that much, how could you tell?)
