a Cubone is actually a kangaskhan that has had its mother die, that helmet is actually her head...

for some reason, this was changed at the last minute so kangaskhan has no evolutions.
and having it be a dead marowak is so much better?

Three things, one...those kids leave home at ten TEN! for this career, that doesn't even pay, how do they buy food in town? what about the dangers fo sleeping outside like ticks, bears...and how did the career idea of a pokemon trainer start off? what was the cultural appeal?

and two, where are the animals? we got pokemon which are just...biological half sentient things but what about the normal dumb as rocks animals? where are they?

and crime, the only crime we know of is grand thief insult-of-nature larsony, what happened where everyone forgoed shoplifting? or violence? where is the military? fire department?

Not only can you- a 10-year-old kid- capture and control monsters with the power to bend time and space and alternate dimensions to their will...through the story you are CONGRATULATED for doing this and saving the world.

And yet you get no fame for this. The only time you get on TV is when you win a lot at the Game Corner or name your Pokemon "Fluffypants" or "Dickweed" or something. Did I not just save the fucking world? Where is my credit, god dammit?! Can't I at least get a discount at the PokeMart or something? At least another gay little ribbon to stick on my new God-slave? ANYTHING?

Mostly in the show that they fall under EVERY SINGLE Team rocket trick, ya think that they could get it by the 100'th time!

What do Pokemon and their "trainers" consume besides fruit and vegetables? Milktank steak, Krabby meat, Littleroot Fried Torchick?

EVs.

Not not the pokemon, but Effort Values. They completely ruined the game for me,especially when I tried to grind on only specific pokemon. It made it feel like an MMORPG.

The evolved form of megnamet. Dose that even count as evolution? Further megnoton evolving make just as much sence as thorwing rocks in a field and expecting them to grow.

Annoyed me how you had to catch wild pokemon while they're alive. Wouldn't it be easier if they fainted? But the battle always ends :/
The fact that you're the first person I've ever heard comment on this since the time pokemon first came out kind of scares me.
We all just accept how completely rediculous it is.
Well it made sense to me since in the original Japanese version it stated that the Poke'mon died. I had a major Japanese freak friend when I was eight.
Seriously‽
(Hey look, I wanted an interrobang so bad, it finally appeared!)
Does it say that in the current-gen games? If so, then the cutesy, friendly look of pokemon just got a whole lot more disturbing.

Only the fact that you can only have six poke'mon with you at all times, yet have several thousand different objects inside your bag of holding.

Exactly how did they catch the first Pokemon?

I mean, you need Pokemon to catch Pokemon, right? That would mean they would've had to already had a Pokemon to catch the first Pokemon

It doesn't make sense.

They start you off with the phrase "Gotta catch'em all" then purposely make a handful of the pokemon completely uncatchable.

"You gotta catch'em all! Oh, except for these ones. You can't find them anywhere in the game."

Honestly, what's the point?

I think its to try and see the hoops fans will jump through to find tricks to make that possible.
See also: Mew glitch, surf glitch, "tweaking."

To get you to pay full price for two versions and/or force your friends to buy the game as well. then of course after you've had enough time to play the original two versions in a series, the third one comes out that has everything. triple profit for nintendo.

Revelation all. There are real animals in pokemon. One of the chefs on the boat named i cant remember what in red/yellow/blue mentions that eel is on the menu. Fancy that.

And yes this thread made me go play Pokemon.
