Also, you can learn skills and spells from the pile of garbage you have in your backpack

I don't know about you, but going around throwing concerts and shopping for the newest lipstick isn't what I would call "fun".
To each their own, I guess. Although I don't remember any lipstick....

Anyway, I'm not really a particular fanboy of the series. As far as I'm concerned there are way better games out there, and I have only limited patience with the various people I know who identity as "FF Fanatics" when they start sounding off on the subject. They're enjoyable, but they're ridiculously polarising for some reason - people either love them a bit too much, or else have an unreasoning hatred of them.

The people like me, who sit in the middle - who have played and enjoyed the games, but not to the point of listening to the music, owning the action figures and going on about them constantly - seem to be very rare.

Idiots will claim something is the greatest game ever no matter how mediocre it was....just as long as you kill teh Mary Sue and have pretty cutscenes (even when Mary Sues have died many times before that game).

Apparently dressing in black makes a very bland and pathetic Kefka wannabee the greatest villian ever.

Apparently so many people only play FF7 and act like they are gods of RPG knowledge.....and those people don't even know the plot of the game they claims the greatest.

In case noone noticed...i had a run in with an FF7 idiot behind the counter of Play N Trade. His logic for it being best game ever is "it was voted best game ever on an internet fansite."

If it looks like a girl, sounds like a girl, it's a girl. However, if it looks like a girl, sounds like a girl, but also carries a sword the size of most SUVs it's a guy.

Now watch a female character get a giant sword and screw that one up.

And still.....we can't top that Bards are Spoony.

But oh wait....if you sacrifice yourself by jumping into lava to stop a reactor....you'll live but jump infront of one attack at the main character....kiss your ass goodbye. Level 1 fire is so much more powerful it seems.

This thread kind of makes me sad because it points out all the ridiculous things in Final Fantasy.

It also seems I'm one of the only people on the planet that thought Final Fantasy VIII was the best of the series. That and Tactics.

VIII is not my favorite. IX is. VIII is in second place, though.

Sort of off topic:
FFX-2 Combat system rocks amazingness
and Nobou Is FF MUSIC GOD

now on topic:
gravity only applies to me and y friends if gravity will make the situation funnier

Al bhed have REALLY cool eyes

Massive amounts of cleavage is acceptable if you carry around stuffed animals

rings (and bracelets) mostly provide large armor bonuses and sometimes may be the only form of armor needed

grow out ur hair and permanetly dye ur hair white and ur really cool, wielding ridiculously large katanas as well make you CoolEST, add a pinch of crazy and motivation and you the Most liked Villian ever period.

guns will soon replace arms as a logical replacement

Mr. T cares about the planet and somehow has a white Daughter whom he neglects in order to save the planet

gravity will only affects hairstyles in the nineth game

pretty women will either fall in love with you or die

you too can fit ur friends in ur pockets

upright green newts wielding lamps and knifes should be feared more than death spells

more to come?
