where is the scope on the halo pistols?
I can explain this. In the Halo books, the Mjolnir armor is mentioned to be able to sync up with any weapon the Spartan might be holding (this allows the reticule to be shown on the HUD), so what is probably happening is the Spartan's armor is simply magnifying using the built binocular like stuff in systems of the suit, and overlaying the pistols reticule to match the magnification. It is safe to assume that the Elites have a similar system. As to why this doesn't work with other weapons? Because, "for tortatud!"

every single door, that is locked, and cannot be broken by bullets from a handgun, assault rifle, shotgun shells, grenades, rpgs, C4, effectively everything short of a small thermonuclear weapon, just really, WTF?

On the "player can't get turned into a zombie" issue in zombie games. Left 4 Dead dealt with that by stating the player characters are some of the lucky few who are immune to the virus.

Which brings to mind a question, what if the L4D survivors weren't immune? You'd be doomed. One hit, one splash of infected blood even, and it's game over man, game over!

It's the part where Chell replaces the turret sorting line by grabbing the faulty one in the scanner. and when you confront GLaDOS, what she brought to kill you happened to be those faulty turrets.

So, what happened to the functioning turrets that passed the test prior to the switch? I just thought it was too convenient for Chell.

The Nintendo factor.

Why is it, when just touching or passing a person/animal you take magical damage or even die... yet they go unharmed as if everything is made out of a strong contact poison or lightning...

Bioshock 1, when you get your first plasmid. Your character just walks up, looks at it for half a second, and then jabs it into his arm. For all he knew it contained liquified cyanide.

speaking of which, how do you blend in with priests in the first one while carrying all that weaponry? (assasins creed one that is)
In that time, accusing a priest/scholar/whatever of a crime, or assaulting one, is very serious business. You have got to be pretty fucking sure of what you're doing.

Pokemon.

What the fuck? I can just waltz in anyone's house and no one would care?

Also there are more PokeCenters then there are hospitals? What, our animal thingy slaves deserve more healthcare than us now?
I think what's stranger is the fact that there never seem to be enough houses for everyone you see in a town. For example, there are only three buildings in Pallet Town in the original game: Your house, your rival's house, and Oak's lab; but there are 2-3 other people in Pallet Town who constantly stand outside. Where do they live?

Since we're talking about Pokemon, How the hell does the professor from each game know when you're about to use an item when you shouldn't? When you try to ride the bike indoors in the first game, Professor Oak would say something like, "This isn't the time to use that," no matter how far from Pallet Town you were at the time. How the hell does he know? The only plausible explanation is that he is an incredibly powerful telepath who can read people's minds from miles away.
And why are the Elite 4 champions constantly there? Do they have lives or do they just sit inside, imprisoning passer-bys to unescapable battles?
And what about the trainers? Do they just stand there awaiting somebody to wander by so they can get uncomfortably close to them and then have their animals molest yours?
i think there is another puzzling thing here the entire game you are told it is the elite four when you beet them you find out it is actualy the elite 5

Actually, I've got another complaint on this franchise as well. Since the beginning, there has been a Pokemon trainers school in virtually every one of the Version games. But there aren't any other kinds of schools. Am I, a college student roleplaying as a loli, forbidden from entering school because I feel like my character will be a bus driver rather than a Pokemon trainer?

1) Like Frank West, Dead Space guy and Nazi Zombie guys.
Well, in dead space you have to be already dead in order to be infected. And the nazi zombies knock you over and its game over, presumable tearing into you while you're helpless on the floor

Yeah, any character who carries a crapload of guns. I've actually humped light machine guns with several 200 round boxes of ammo and it gets tiring in short time. Add on a rocket launcher, rifle, pistol, shotgun, all the ammo for them and a bunch of grenades, anyone would be lucky to crawl somewhere and make good time.

The ending to Dead Rising 2 defies even what I like to call "video game logic".

Sullivan gets to call in a gunship. He's part of a pharmaceutical company from what I can make out. ...How the fuck did he get that?!

I may be missing something there as I saw the ending about 3 months ago, but that's what I can hazily recall.
what else do you think the bosses spent their bonuses on?
OT
Health Regeneration (already been said here)
and the fact that Princes Peach has been kidnapped a thousand times and they all rely on a fat plumber to save her.
PS
and the fact that in allot of JRPG,s the hero lives with his mother (or both parents) but is the only one with a bed.

There's a lot in gaming that I just don't get.
1. Stepping on a first-aid kit heals wounds instantly.
2. Weapons in fighting games almost never cut anyone.
3. Many humans are able to jump about 8 to 10 feet in the air.
4. Where do the red orbs go when you spend them?
5. How can a naked hedgehog hold 200 headband-sized gold rings as well as 7 softball-sized jewels?
6. What is VATS like from the guy getting shot at?
7. Why send in just one space fighter jet when you could send a whole fleet to attack en masse?
8. Why does Mega Man explode after instantly touching a sharp spike, yet only take minor damage when shot by Needle Man?
9. How is it that people from other planets are able to speak English?
10. Who's stopping me from having more than 6 Pokemon? Suppose I have 6 in the pokeball, and 6 outside of the pokeballs walking with me. Who's gonna know??

Female "warriors" being given little more thana bikini to use as body armour. This is even more ridiculous when you compare them to male fighters whose body type should be labelled as 'refridgerator', given more armour plating than an M1 Abrams battle-tank.
A good example of this is in the latest Mortal Kombat title
