That half the world is thrown into a economic crisis and nobody wonders what went wrong, and if the whole capitalist system could use a remake or something. There should be no need for budged cuts or anything like that. Also why don't we have an intergalactic spacefleet yet? I'd call colonizing other worlds to ensure our survival a pretty high priority. And why does north-korea still exist?

As for me I would say, when people ignore an argument even though the evidence is staring them right in th face, I.E. dwindling energy resources, evolution, climate change, and thats just to name a few.

Just let everyone else roll their way, and roll your own way. No need to get all miserable about how other people do their rolling.

EDIT: Also I think that Spanish woman would make me lose faith if I didn't already know that most people aren't like that. However if the tax was passed, and everybody agreed to it, then I would lose faith.
