-I am Christian
-I don't think any platform is inherantly better than any ther platform
-I don't think Superman 64 falls into even the top 50 worst games ever made
-I have only played 1 vavle game (Half Life) and didn't like it
-I find most of what Yahtzee says a load of crap meant for entertainment and not to be taken seriously from the perspective of any gamer. (Although, I do find him entertaining.)
-I don't wish any game "didn't exist" or necessarily "should be put to rest".
-I have a huge respect for Nintendo and like them. (Even though I haven't bought anything from Nintendo since the N64 - I am not their target demographic)
I haven't played Superman 64 but seriously I'm really curious what your 50 worst games are if it doesn't fall into it. I'm not trying to be rude or anything but from what I read about the game is absolutely terrible. Well a bit ridiculous to ask you what they are, just curious what some of the worst games you played or know of are.

What's the stereotype?
Things about me:
-I didn't play a single video game from my freshman year of high school until my sophomore year of college (so the last game I played was Major League Baseball featuring Ken Griffey Jr and the first one to get me back into it was Knights of the Old Republic)
-I'm a Christian
-Over the last 3 years I've been a moderate, an anarchist, a liberal, and now completely apathetic politically
-I'm more into outdoors than I am gaming
-I hate arguing online. It's just pointless
-I'm studying to be a surgical oncologist (even though my majors in college were in Psychology and Theology)
-I like a good bit of rap and hate all metal (but folk music is my real home)
-I like the Wii
-I'm a Mac

I like Nintendo and probably made a blood-oath towards them at some point.
I like JRPG's.
I generally have a somewhat optimistic attitude towards humanity.
I don't think political correctness is a big deal, and think it's often a way to make one's own racism/sexism seem noble (claiming it, that is).
I don't worship Bioware (more out of not having played their games than anything).
I like Moviebob, even if I vehemently disagree with him on Other M.
I'm probably bigger on retro gaming/emulators than many here (making me more like...most other gaming forums).

What the hell is the "Escapist Stereotype"?

I don't fit it, in either case, or any other stereotype for that matter.

I don't actually have a list. But I don't think it would be hard to assemble one of 50 games if I had access to ever game ever released on consoles. (If you include the PC - the number goes up even more drastically) Ever heard of a game called "the plan" on PS2? Even if you have, there are plenty of games you have not heard of who are terrible. (which you have not heard of because they are terrible and they have no driving force behind them like ol' Supes.) I played Superman 64 a bit back when it was released, and yes it was bad. I am not saying it was great or anything. But if anything, it was just boring and repetative to an extent. I would play superman 64 over some of the Wii shovelware coming out this generation.

I Talk about games like "Mushihimesama Futari."
I think FPS games peaked around "Doom."
I play 80% of games on an arcade stick. Even Resident evil and parasite Eve 2.

I thought the Escapist stereotype was smart people who play videogames? I never knew the escapist had a stereotype of which games they should and shouldn't like.

the escapist doesn't really have stereotypes, but I guess I'll list some unique gaming qualities in myself:

I like JRPGs
I like the Wii
Smash Brothers is my favourite game
I think FPSs are horridly overrated (this includes the fallouts)

-I'm more religious than most others here it seems.
-I usually don't have a strong opinion about things.

I like JRPGs and actually find the Fallout series extremely boring.

It's not really a stereotype, it's just a vocal minority. I have trouble believing the majority of people on here are very anti-religion.

I don't enjoy Anime or Manga as it makes me fell uncomfortable for reasons I'm currently unclear on.
I do think MW2 was horrible, just slightly above average.
I think both Bioshock and Team Fortress 2 are complete and utter shit.
I find Half-Life 2's gameplay to be the very definition of generic and mediocre. Story was nice though which is why I find it slightly above average; the exact opposite to MW2.

Hey wait, what exactly is the stereotype? o_O

EDIT: The Escapist has no stereotype, your argument is invalid
I know what you don't hate. Vests.

Sorry, had to be said.
