I rather enjoyed the original force Unleashed
Fable series is a guilty pleasure of mine, so i rather enjoyed the second game (Contrary to popular belief)
I don't think Dante is a Cliche character or a jackass, and he is infact a cool character
I think Hideo Kojima is a GENIUS

Shit, I thought most people here were in their 20s not in their teens. (joking, I'm mainly joking here, if this post bothers anyone I will delete what I said.)

If you own one of those in real life you are secretly a mad scientist with the financial property and technical/mechanical know how to rival Tony Stark.
This makes you awesome.

I honestly wasn't aware there was a stereotype, but I'm female, do a sport, like pokemon, play Magic: The Gathering (the paper version) and read the tie-in novels and I have deviantart but not Facebook.

There are probably other things that set me apart form a non existent stereotype (other than existing), but I can't remember them right now.

I'm a conservative Christian

I enjoy MW2 ( at least single player)

I believe some movies are good just for a popcorn flick (ie. 1st transformers)

That's all I can think of at the moment.

I have a girlfriend.

Just kidding! I -do- have one (and she loves Portal), but I know there are plenty of other Escapists with significant others. Back on topic:
-World of Warcraft didn't impress me much. It's pretty, but nothing really innovative to me.
-I've been in two more combat zones than most of the kids playing MW2.
-Proper spelling and punctuation aren't alien & frightening to me.

I love sports games.
I don't play first-person shooters (or indeed, multiplayer at all.)
I don't consider myself a geek or a nerd.
I'm devoutly religious and have absolute faith in the gods.
And I've actually been laid in recent memory.

No-one realised we had a stereotype?

It's pretty much elitism & egotism. Insufferable elitism & egotism.
Gee I wonder how that came about?

Personally, I think it's the
Welcome to The Escapist forums!

(The Internet's version of the Lighthouse of Alexandria)
that's on the guideline page more than anything.

Let's see...

I'm not American or British.
I don't hate Americans or British.
I don't hate people in general and kids especially, and haven't "lost faith in humanity" (well... most of the time).
I don't hate religion (though i don't like it either).
I don't hate Michael Bay - not every movie has to be "artsy" and thought-provoking.
I don't consider myself to be "the only human in the world of sheep" as many here seem to do.
I don't hold any pretensions that this site is some sort of "last bastion of intellegence" or anything.
I friggin' despise elitism and snobbery in any form, and would rather see a world of equality than of class division.
I friggin' despise most aspects of Warhammer 40000... really, the only salvageable aspects are tanks and Comissars' hats.
I'm not much of an anime fan either.
I think that Portal is grossly overrated. It's a good game, but not "THE BEST ONE EVAR".
I'm not a nihilistic jerk, and don't pretend to be one for some stupid reason.
I'm not a sociopathic jerk, and don't pretend to be one for some stupid reason.
I'm not a Search Bar nazi.

...wow, that was really negative towards this place and the people here, now wasn't it? But i can't find any "positive" aspects of the stereotype that i wouldn't fit. Probably because any "positive" parts of the Escapist's stereotype (intellegent, polite, etc) more or less apply to me. And no, i'm not flattering myself - not really.
