Wait, did you just say Call of Duty is a blizzard franchise?

Also, if you mean Diablo, Warcraft, Starcraft, they have no reason to die.
Diablo was once great and by the looks of it, its continuing that trend.
Starcraft was once great and Starcraft 2 was even better.
Warcraft is standing strong.

My Little Pony. I've not watched it in over twenty years so its popularity now seems new, scary and alienating. Well that and it just strikes me as slightly trite.
It's because they're all watching the new show by Lauren Faust, not the old one.
Ahhh... I didn't realise there was a new version. Perhaps I will give it a go I may well be missing out on something.
I enjoy it. It's not the holy grail of television or anything, but I find it was quite a bit more entertaining than I figured something with the "my little pony" brand would be. They're all on youtube so you can watch it easily and hassel free.

Simpsons, I love it too pieces but it needs to end soon.
Pokemon as well, for the same reasons.
The CoD franchise shouldn't go on much longer, by all means treyarch should work on other new FPS's rather than milking a franchise to death.

Sonic needs to disappear for 5 years then come back once everyone has had time to actually miss him, and the triumphed return game should be similar to sonic adventure 2.

current gen consoles, they've had their day in the sun. PLus any game series which has had more than one sequel should be retired... seriously I'm tired of 4/5 major releases being sequels.

I enjoy COD.
Even Modern Warfare 2, which I will freely admit is ludicrously ridiculous.

Many other people - people who appreciate a good story/original gameplay/etc included, also enjoy COD, even given it's shortcomings in those areas.

Therefore it must be finished with.

Don't see your reasoning, fella.

Pokemon. The new designs are just delving into the realms of shittiness.
And yes, I say that as a fan of the original series.

Sonic must live.
Name one good Sonic game released in past 10 years.
Sonic Colors was actually pretty awesome. And I liked the Adventure games.

OT: Portal. I love the first game and the sequel was probably the best sequel games has ever had. HOWEVER, they shouldn't continue with new games. Everything was essentially wrapped up. A prequel during the Cave Johnson Era wouldn't be terrible, but I think it wrapped enough where anything beyond map-packs would be too much.

Here's a handy list of things that should end:
1. Sonic games
2. Mario games
3. Pokemon games
4. Final Fantasy "games"
5. Day-one DLC (looking at you, Bioware)
6. 3D games/TVs
7. Fat men cosplaying as girls
8. Animated sitcoms on Fox
8. Sitcoms
9. George Lucas being allowed to revise and re-release Star Wars over and over.
10. 4chan

Diablo 1 is a classic.
Diablo 2 was a massive improvement, and (from having played online recently) is still going strong 11 years later.
Diablo 3 looks promising from gameplay trailers.

So... what are you basing this on?

OT: I don't usually do 'inb4', but... inb4 "the Fable series."

I say give Lionhead one last chance to lock Peter Molyneux in a soundproof cage, make a fucking good game and earn the praise they deserve without their compulsive liar of a director ruining their reputation. If he manages to fuck it up again, can that shit.

Nah, it just looks like ciortas1 forgot to put an 'and' in there. Least that's how I'm seeing it.

My pick? The Oscars, or at least the show's presentation.

Oh, I'm all for keeping the awards themselves going, but the entire leading up to hype and production of the show as it current is needs to stop.

the GOOD mlp started less than a year ago...You see, there are 2 types of mlp. Theres the creepy sexist ones of long ago, and there is the new non-sexist, awesome, amazing, pro ones of less than a year ago.

Hm. Things that need to go...honestly there are so many games and things that were milked beyond their time that need to go, I can't say them all.

EDIT: And also, why is it cool to hate Call of Duty now? Sure it has its problems, a lot of problems, but its fun to play and IMO it has a pretty good story.
Good story? The story is utter drivel, which consists of rehashes of other bland action films. The rare nuggets of decent plot are all ripp offs. It's always nazis this, russians that.

COD MUST BE ENDED
You quoted the wrong guy, dudebro.

Yes, yes, and more yes. Stoppit with the zombies in everything! Zombie-based franchises that have been around for a while are ok, but adding in Zombies to everything else in the universe needs to go to hell.

Ugh, might be starting a storm here... but, Family Guy needs to go. Or you know what? It can actually stay, some people like it and I've given up on it long ago.
I agree. Family Guy is a giant stinking turd these days. It's still wildly popular though. I would even say that it wore out its welcome quicker than The Simpsons. The Simpsons didn't turn in to unwatchable nonsensical mush until at least 12 seasons. Family Guy went to crap in half the time and is already at the point of basing entire episodes around "catchphrase" side-characters starting a season+ ago.

That said, The Simpsons needs to go as well.

Also Star Wars.
