I'm sick of seeing a multi-player function in games just for the sake of having multi-player. If multi-player has to be in it...then it should be the core of the game and not just something tacked on there to appeal to the online fanatics (Ghostbusters and Grand Theft Auto 4). This also goes for multi-player games with the weak addition of a single-player (Halo 3 and Resistance 2).

Whiney protagonist who give an entire speech on how they abhor fighting, but then after the cutscene is over you can have them go massacre an entire village.

In infinite undiscovery they made Cappel one of the whiners, but they also made it so that you had to run away from most battles until he decidede to grow a pair. They need to do more stuff like that, keep story and game play in balance!

space marines in giant suits of armor that put medeval knights to shame, and games that don't explain your objective good enough...

"Realism". It started off as a term to describe how amazing some of the newer technology really was. Now it is overpowering trend surrounding every mechanic of a game. Realism is responsible for only being able to carry 2 friggin guns at a time, or running out of breath after sprinting 10 feet. Those 2 examples by themselves weren't really a problem, but now that every game uses them its annoying. Developers need to realize that realism doesn't always mean a good video game. After all, the most realistic video game would be playing through our every day lives, nobody wants to play that.
Exactly. Aren't video games supposed to be about having fun? Isn't it more fun to be carrying a shitload of weapons than to be limited to one or two? Isn't it more fun to not have the physical limitations that we have in real life? Reality sucks, that's why we play games to get away from it and to have fun.

im tired of games that say "your moral choices affect gameplay" when all they do is make mark the general store owner like you more or less and it affects his prices

i want a game where the moral choices actually do affect you and the world and i mean they really do and when i say affect i dont mean that because you went evil your not allowed to use a healing spell because thats for good characters

i want something where those seemingly insignificant events that are in other games just to mess with your alignment actually affect the game instead of taking a jquest to help the good and innocent and you instead rape and pillage them the guy that hired you in the first place won't do it anymore and stealing doesnt just incur a fine and having what you stole taken away

Sense.

Anyone else remember when games were just games? Logic? Reason? You didn't need that, give the player a goal and an enemy and watch the hours fly.

I've another complaint. I'm getting tired of my target reticle moving on its own in certain shooters. RE 4 and 5 are guilty of this, as well as Metal Gear Solid when you've the sniper rifle equipped. Seriously, developers, if we really were nervous while aiming, we'd be able to shake the reticle ourselves, thank you. We don't need the player characters acting separately from us, waving their guns around and hindering our aiming ability.

Seriously, Leon Kennedy, Chris Redfield, and Solid Snake are all military (I use the term "military" somewhat broadly) badasses, right? Aren't they taught to keep their hands steady? If not, certainly their hands become steady as time goes on? It's just ridiculous.

1. Unskippable cut scenes especially before boss fights

2. Weight restrictions or stupidly small inventory screens

3. Fantasy style armour where men wear cars for protection and women wear chainmail beachware

4. The "routine" mission that goes horribly wrong (applies to movies aswell)

5. Bosses that don't die i.e Maester Seymore you are not a threatning villian I have killed you 3 times already and didn't find it particularly hard

6. Bosses with multipul forms things don't get more powerfull when you have killed them or just about killed them that doesn't actually happen things get a lot weaker when they are dead

7. Throwaway PC ports that don't work

I have a lot of issues with shooters:
Space marines and all associated cliches
Generic, dull weapons and environments
Those stupid, asshole squadmates you're always stuck with
and SEWER LEVELS

Fucking stereotypes. God dammit, why does every Japanese rpg have at least one set of angsty overpowered kids kicking soldiers asses? (Lost Odyssey)

The spirit being stronger and being something that survives after you go through an emo stage, blah blah blah, random bullshit that makes no sense. Add in mood swings. Wtf? (Lost Odyssey)

Crow-barred in love interest. (Any game)
Those first two are legitimate points, but I don't recall either being used in Lost Odyssey. The party's kids were weak mages and the badasses were either war veterans or 1,000-year-old immortal soldiers, if I recall correctly.

I have no argument against your third point, however. I can't think of any love interest in any game's main plot that didn't feel forced and unnecessary.

Strictly online multiplayer instead of local multiplayer. I will never require my friends to have their own copy of a game and stay at their house to play a shooter with me. Timesplitters and Halo are way more fun when you can taunt a person in the same room as you.

Fucking timed events. I hate them.

Alluding to the fact that you're running out of time, but you in fact have forever, is fine though. Example: Halo 2, Cairo Station, the bomb part. Cortana tells you to hurry, but you in fact have forever.

Armor, when placed on male characters that make them look like a walking block of titanium, then when placed on a female character, is essentially a metal thong (Or G-String, fellow Australians.) and nippie covers.

And overlarge mammaries, on anything. Zeus damn you Clotho.
But seriously, if physics were to be applied, women with quintuple D cups would be immovable, unless A) Best use of helium balloons, ever. Or B) Helium boobage.

Games where you split up. And the person you split up with doesn't know what end of a gun to point at baddies, thus making what was a smooth running operation (If any have ever happened in a game.) a rescue mission. I'd only rescue them to put the bullet in their brain myself.

One hundred percent completion to unlock a hidden ending.
[Insert Stream Of Frothy-Mouthed Expletives Here].
Especially when it opens up to obvious sequel. I do not want to collect every bloody coin/star/gem/crystal/blood-soaked enemy part to find out that you lived through the explosion/the enemy lived through the explosion/person who died isn't dead at all/person on your side is an enemy/vice versa.
Just give me the ending like Halo does, at the end of the credits. That way I can skip it and not care.

actually ive got fed up with damn WWII guns and nazis

the lack of splitscreen and ai bots because game devs think we are all low life degenerates that dont have real life friends to game with so they make it all online ... pile a shite!

Large breasted women, guys with huge guns, Mario, Emo RPG characters, Alien invasions, space marines, bald space marines, stupid dick support characters, mellow drama, cover systems, Guitar Hero. I think thats all, I would love some originality in games soon, because at this rate I will stop playing games and just start writing novels.
Wait, what? You don't like large breasts?
I assume he meant on men :p

....OK fine, I can relate. Objectifying women in games can get old really fast...But I still love jiggly boobies (just not everytime I want to innocently play some videogames)!
