They got an unfair bad rep in Daggerfall. I did go on an orc-slaughtering rampage for a while, then I found out they were framed and it was actually the Thieves' Guild that hanged those two little girls. After that it was Pacify Humanoid for the Orcs and "Poison Damage 1 + 1 per 3 levels for 100 + 100 per level rounds" for the Thieves' Guild.

well in gothic 3 i just single handedly murdered about 200 people, then went and killed another 500 about 2 miles away....

Theres pretty much nothing in video games asides the actions of running and jumping that wouldn't get you thrown in the slammer faster than you can blink.

Depends where you're doing it I guess...

cities,space cities,towns,guard camps....but how about throwing stop signs at people in there cars? good times....
