We all have played that one game where something so obvious in an option but noone even thinks about it. And thus we are just left wondering "are they stupid?" So what are they?

My personal favorite is Megaman X4. Um....Zero....Iris is a robot. You can rebuild her dumbass.

oh now that you mentioned Sephiroth it reminded me of this one.

OK...Seph is frozen the entire game....jenova is a shapeshifter.....and noone thought "hey...maybe we're really chasing Jenova around and not Seph."

Actually, not to knitpick, but he can't. The only reason Zero was able to be rebuilt is because he is unique (and they kept energy flowing through his body parts in X2, so as to not let him truly die. He was just in pieces). Iris was dead and destroyed, meaning that she's lost everything. he could rebuild the body, technichely, but the mind, who and what Iris is/was, is lost. Sorry if I sounded rude.

Anyway in Assassin's Creed, why doesn't Altair, oh, I don't know, change his uniform a little? (Spoilers) Al Mualim says that that guards are looking for the man in the white cloak. Okay, so why doesn't Altair get one that's black, or gray, or any other freaking color?

How about in Call of Duty 4, a grenade thrown can wipe out a 10 foot radius, yet a grenade from a grenade launcher can land a foot from a guy but not kill him.

In that same effect, In Halo 3, I can unload a full clip of ammo into a guy, but if hits me a couple times, I'm dead. IT'S POWER ARMOR!

Almost every game I've played - Weapon + Door = OPEN. C'mon its an F'ing armor-melting laser versus a 1/4" wood door.
Agreed. Destructable doors; an idea whose time has come, game developers!

Halo - Once crashed down, why didn't the crew of the Pillar of Autumn gather back at the ship, load up the dropships and fighters, set the self destruct, and F-off? The Truth and Reconciliation had touched down, they'd probably have no idea the crew was bookin it or that the reactor was gonna blow. The Truth was the only Covie ship there, its not like there's backup in orbit preventing escape.
Actually, there are other Covenant ships in orbit; there's mentions of them in the cutscene where you're teleporting from the last emitter you sabotage in "Two Betrayals" to the Flood-infested ship in "Keyes". Also, if the crew blew the Autumn then they're dead; none of the lighter ships has FTL, and it's a long walk to the nearest source of breathable air.

It really bugs me when I have a rocket launcher and there's still those damn "how do I get over there past this wall" puzzles. The answer is rockets. The answer is always rockets.

Not sure if this has been done yet, but a tactical squad-based shooter RTS - control a 10-strong group of whatevers, populating your group with a wide array of different classes.

Actual dying.
It's kind of a stupid concept, but I've never actually seen it applied; "You died. Please purchase a new copy of this game to continue."
Seriously, I'd like to see a game that starts out like you being a soldier, then you can get promoted if you work hard enough to General, then the game is a RTS.

Fable - Why does nobody ever give a shit about Jack of Blades? A character like him had "Evil Bastard Villain" written on his mask so couldn't somebody take care of him before shit hit the fan?

Halo 2 - Why the fuck would Chief jump out of a space station with a covenant bomb.Besides obvious risks(such as...death?), it'd be a waste of resources as Chief himself was more expensive(Costs equivalent of a battle fleet) than the whole defensive perimeter.

Halo 3 - At the end of the Covenant, Gravemind knocks Chief and Arbiter down from a Pelican then orders his flood minions to kill them.Wouldn't it be a lot easier if he just used his tentacles to crush or throw them into that bottomless pit?

Portal - Why does Chell attempts to fight GLADoS with a weapon that has no combat abilities whatsoever.Couldn't she just skip past GLAD. and try to get out alive?

Also why is there a conveniently placed furnace in GLADoS' chamber? Is it for baking cake or is she just feeling cold?

MMO's - Why do all MMO's revolve around grind? The only exception to this is (former Space Cowboy Online) Flysis/AirRivals which is about to enter open beta. This game is VERY heavily PvP based, plus once you're a level 65-70(About a month or two of grinding for casual players), you'll even have a chance again level 95's providing that you have enough skill at piloting gears.

Actually that's the same T&R from the third mission. So you still only come across one Covenant spaceship.

Seconded. Also, in PoP, Sands of Time, why not just go back in time and stop yourself from activating the hourglass?

On Halo 2: Not only did the Chief probably have an idea of what exactly he was doing, but he also has the advantage of being in possession of a smart AI (Cortana) who could tell him when, say, energy readings suggested that the Covenant ship was about to fire or contact any other member of the fleet to draw fire from the fighters and other ships. There's also the "luck" factor that Chief has, for those that have read the novels.

On Halo 3: Gravemind himself is nowhere near where Chief 'n' Arby were at that moment. The only way he was able to communicate with them was by way of the other Flood forms. From this, we could probably guess that he's stretched thin as it is, given that he's only able to talk to you directly if you're in a place that is entirely infested with Flood (Flood ship in Floodgate, High Charity in Cortana). He was also probably preoccupied with getting information from Cortana to care.

Something about not being able to travel past the point at which the transtemporal event was initiated, I reckon.

A KOTOR-esque RPG set in the Transformers or equivalent shape shifting mecha universe. Pick your side, pick from a range (more than three) of vehicle forms and away you go. Every character model is a potential player model, just with a different skin. It would open up loads of new tactics and gameplay scenarios, too. Long walk to base camp? Turn into a car and watch out for pedestrians. Your squad gets surrounded on a bridge? Tell one of your chaps to jump off the side, turn into a helicopter, and outflank them.

Not that I've given it much thought, you understand.

Why does Robotnik create worlds specifically suited for sonic to escape from? Why does he keep making a submarine that can withstand fire? What is his obsession with three fingered robots?

Robotnik really squanders his resources. Invent a shotgun for gods sake.

Something close to it, Fallout tactics. Over the head view, command a few guys, they specialize in different things. May not be the same as what your thinking, but it was an awesome game :D

anyways, Halo 3....

Alright guys, covenant are digging a big hole in the earth and they found a giant portal! lets go get em!

isn't anyone else curious as to why the FUCK THERES A GATEWAY UNDER OUR PLANET!!! And don't say you find out why because not even the privates were acting like it was always there to begin with :/ ......okay theres no new option, but it bugged me :p
