Customization is big for me and thats why I love RSV so much. I only wish that they just go look for actual vests and armour instead of creating crappy unrealistic ones. More freedom to aproach enemies in different ways or make your own sniper spot would be awsome. Just pitching an idea here but would anyone be interested in a battlefield style Rainbow game? Hundreds of players plus customization=awsome.

hope this follows along the lines of what were talking about but.......

when ever the bad dude is performing that ritual (you know the one, raise the horrible evil demon/evil thing/hillary clinton, sacrifice x maiden who never puts out, building evil machine, etc.), and they need to not be interrupted, how about AT LEAST locking the front door/putting the draw bridge up? or do one better, lock it then destroy the hallways leading up to the special room. seriously, all the security and locked doors yet the front door is NEVER locked.

When a character "Kills" someone make sure they are fucking dead, put an extra round in the head if you have to. I hate haveing the same idiot keep coming back to life over and over because the designers couldn't be more creative.

Any game that has set ways of doing something. GTA: SA - "Run from these two cars." Ok, screw that, my driving sucks so I'm gonna get out and put a bullet in the guys' heads. But nooooooo, they're driving bulletproof cars. Screeeew you!

Or when I can only combine two items the devs wanted me to combine. God forbid I combine pen and paper and squiggle a bit, I'm meant to use the pen for shorting out some electrical thingy and the paper to soak up blood when I shoot myself from annoyance. Or I can't drag that box to climb onto that ledge, I have to drag THAT ONE, the one 2 miles away, and everything else is immobile.

Also, agree on the wall - rocket and door - gun sentiment. Another way to think about it is: "I have a huge rocket launcher that can quite likely annihilate a small planet. I'm fighting a guy that can take three million hits from that and not flinch. Why am I not blowing the bloody floor out from under this guy and saving myself some bloody effort?"

i will say this and this only, because the temptation is great.

There are a million Halo sites with a million explanations to any and every plot hole mentioned here, and i must hit post before my correction itch grows to strong...

EDIT: on topic: why is there no average joe game, where you go out, work, then buy some groceries and eat them.

ok, you can kill people as-well, but not many and you go to jail.

umm cause that would be real life

also the sims is that game.

Okay, this idea may just be due to the fact that I am a HUGE nerd, but...
A turn based tactical game based on the D&D universe. Show the 5x5ft squares, show the initiative order, and control your party of three to six or whatever to do exactly as you say, on their turn.
I love this idea! Basically, make D&D tactical but as a game!

Baldur's Gate - Why the hell couldn't you use the Wish spell to simply kill Sarevok?
Because despite the fact that Wish is a level 9 spell, it does have its limitations - both in the tabletop game and BG/BGII. Wish allows you to duplicate spells, undo harmful effects such as geas, remove injuries, afflictions or poisons, create certain magical or non-magical items, grant certain bonuses to your stats, revive the dead, transport travellers or undo misfortune (i.e., offer a reroll).

Trying to cast anything stronger may be perverted into 'letter of the law' or 'letter of loophole.' Wishing for immortality might turn you to stone or wishing for someone's death might transport you to their feet to kill yourself.

They tried that in Mass Effect. It didn't work well.

Actual dying.
It's kind of a stupid concept, but I've never actually seen it applied; "You died. Please purchase a new copy of this game to continue."
Steel Battalion. It was awesome. All games should come with an Eject button.

Aaah, VG Cats. The answer to all life's mysteries... Except the mystery of why he never updates on time.

That makes me feel.... so happy inside.

What I want to know is why people in zombie games don't just, I dunno.... Leave? They always go deeper into the mansion/phasiclity/city, rather than just leaving and coming back with proper weapons and assistance.

I also wanna know why characters in many RPGs don't jsut bring ropes, ladders and grappling hooks. I mean, seriously.

In the Bioware/Blackisle Forgotten Realms games, the Wish spell is BEYOND limited, to the point of not being worth having in the game. In D&D (varied a little by version) the spell is less restrictive, more a case of having a friendly DM and spelling out every detail of your wish.

For instance, to wish for Sarevok's death, you could say "I wish *Full Name Here* to be transported, naked and unconcious, to the lowest elevation point of the Innersea.
Read the PHB at some point. The DM is welcome to use your overly powerful wishes and pervert them and is supposed to if it's more powerful than the spell describes. By your own described wish, the DM could justafiably transport your target to that same point years in the future when there's something there to hold them safe, or inside one of those fangled phase cages just long enough to bust out and kick your arse.

How is there not a proper Vampire game?
I'm not talking about blookrayne or some other action/gore fest, I mean a game where you have to aware of sunlight, plan your feeding and such.
I know oblivion almost did this, but a whole game dedicated to fleshing out this idea wouldn't be unappreciated.

Why don't Mario and Bowser reinstate their mortal enemy rules while playing tennis, mario kart, or soccer?

It seems silly that suddenly Mario and Bowser are having a friendly game of tennis, while the next day, Bowser is back to his ways of kidnapping princesses.
