All I get is my parents telling me to do homework. Occasionally my mom says something hilarious about a character (she likes to say Star Fox is hot, no joke), but that usually the gist of it.

I don't get the whole "Stop playing, go out and make friends" deal. I'm rather popular, excel in sports on a nationally ranked team, and manage to get great grades. Not trying to brag (okay a LITTLE), just pointing out how ridiculously overgeneralized people who play video games are. I highly doubt most people here are total social rejects.

Mum: "Why don't you go outside and actually do something?

Me: "Hmmm, go outside and kick a ball or save the world with my awesome skills... Hmmmm."

Mum: "What ever."

My dad always says "BANG BANG" in an annoying voice whenever he goes past the computer when I'm playing. It doesn't matter what I play. R-e-a-l-l-y annoying.

"Why are you hiding? He's gonna see you anyway... You've got a gun! Shoot the guy! Shoot him in the face! HOW THE HELL DOES HE NOT SEE YOU?"

- My dad, while I was playing Splinter Cell.

My mother usually asks if I could be doing something more important. So does my Stepdad, unless I'm playing something like FIFA, in which case he'll shout at the screen/me as if it were and actual football match.
My Dad, however, will simply laugh if I'm losing at a game, and claim it's easy if I'm winning. Although he's worryingly good at COD4, so I can maybe understand that...

My Mum was very mean, even though I wonder if she was saying the truth. NAH!!!

"If you studied as much as you played video games you'd be set for life by now."

"Just pretend games are like homework, then your not wasting your life away."

"Your playing the plumber, do you want to be a plumber when you grow up? How about standing in front of KFC dressed up in a chicken suit?"

There was more but I can't remember them right now.

"Can I have a go?"

Both of my parents played games with me when I was younger. They both still play games in fact.

"Did you bring Nazi Zombies?"

"No, dad. Sorry"

"Oh... I'll be in the garage having a smoke and a beer."
Your dad plays Nazi Zombies? Mine too! It's all he can play, due to the fact it's set in a small area so he finds it harder to get lost.

My parents have always pretty much let me do my own thing. I don't think they really understand me, but they're very reasonable.

Mom doesn't exactly like me playing a lot of games, but it's not that bad.

And I used to play games with dad when I was smaller. (Like GTA 2... hehehe)
I miss him :(

Actually have pretty deep conversation about games design with my Mum. Get some good ideas from her knowledgeable-outsider's perspective.

But her boyfriend always asks me "Are you winning?" ... which is difficult to answer cause I mostly play single player. Can you be said to be winning if you are merely progressing through the story?
