I've found that there can be intelligent and well formed threads, and some decent replies. The community may be growing larger, and there may be some, lets say, undesirables, that try to bring the standards down a little, but peoples commitment to The Escapist keeps it at a more than satisfactory level.

I've noticed that too actually. Sometimes I leave only one or 2 sentence posts out of shear laziness. I don't really know what's happened, maybe I'm just slowly drifting more towards Twitter....

a LOT of people are absolutely obsessed with themselves, "I'm looking at you, Max", haha, a lot of the time it is annoying how people say things like "i am one of the greatest people ever made" and stuff like that, i don't care if they are joking about it, it really isn't funny.

But one thing I've found is, that once people get too famous for their own good within our beautiful little community, they mysteriously disappear...

Pretty much the only thing I've seen that I remember and is a pretty significant thing is that almost everyone uses correct grammar, and if they don't, they have minor errors.

Also, threads are much more thought out and easier to discuss about than on other forums.

You do realise that 'meh' is 'hem' backwards? If someone mumbled the word 'hem' then it would sound like 'hymn'? After that it's all a slippery slope from there...
