I've noticed that punishments for the "First!!1!!one!!1" comments on Zero Punctuation have gone from bans to probations and suspensions.
It's also a really nice place to be.

At what stage do you become a common name?

when you post on nearly every topic such as to me you are a common name and that max the reaper.

also meme and demotivational threads get locked down faster than a nuns panties at mardi gras (i think thats how you spell it anyway)

Well, one of the thing I've noticed is that these forums feel more like a bunch of rooms with people chatting in them. This includes a greater sense of reward than typical online chats. The thing is, Alygishere, if you're new, and you don't have anything striking and characterizing, we don't have a personality to pair with your post, and it feels more like writing without a person behind it. Your posts aren't invalidated by it, its just that they will gain more emotional clout as we better get to know you.

Wait... is your avatar Refia? From Final Fantasy III? It would seem as though you're the only other person that I've met who's played it.

More like, I had my hands on some of my friends GBA and DS games for a while last semister; I still have her Minish Cap, as she still has my DoS... I didn't actually play that far into FF3, but I needed a new white mage for an avatar...

I notice that the rules are a lot stricter than any other forum I've been on. While the language used is a bit more liberal, the rules are strict and enforced. Can't bump threads here, for instance. Other forums I've used, there's actually a button for bumping threads. It's encouraged.

Not if you're an atheist and do not believe he has name status, therefore just making him a common object and not deserving of a capital letter

...Seriously, I thought most people on here had a tweaked I'm a pretty big atheist. Lord knows I've tried to show them....

I like that there are no signatures, on just about every other site you'll see one thread with a thousand signatures under each persons. 100/1000 will be relatively the same.

I have noticed, a long time ago, that The Escapist is quite young, and by The Escapist I mean the user base. It was really a bewildering revelation, although it should not have been.

Another thing I have noticed: There are quite a lot of people in here, and by "quite a lot" I mean "Help! I´m being trampled to death. Aaaarrrggh!"

I have noticed that almost every single time Yahtzee Croshaw creates a thread, someone is suspended or probated, usually the people that have posted in the thread the earliest.

I shall call this phenomenon....The Yahtzee Virus! (Dun dun DUNNN!!!)

This actually the only forum I've been on where people even care about the search bar...

I've noticed that the Zero Punctuation comments thread is WAAAAAAAAY to long WAAAAAY to frequently to be based on the episodes/moved to an off topic location.

That and that there is a pretty big RP scene hidden somewhere around here.

*EDIT* Lots of edits and Polls are closed rather quickly stifling discussion.

OH, 'Successful Troll' has to really successful to hang out too.

One thing is that theres lots of Mod activity, for example, whenever theres the odd person who comments "FIRST POST!!!" on a Zero Punctuation or any other videos here, the poster is pretty much banned or put on probation, keeps the forums clean I suppose. Another thing is that a few people have the tendency to correct people's grammar here, I'm not saying it's a bad thing, just stating that I've noticed this happening a few times here.


Also, this forum has an odd obsession with the search bar.
