While i would love nothing more its two different armies. Anon is the one with the high ground and missiles. WBC is infantry walking calmly through a field with no cover whatsoever. They won't get close enough to think of where to put a scratch on Anons launchers.

You know what I think must be done after analyzing the situation from an outside perspective?
Do not go for the main site anonymous, if you were planning a siege. This is what they will expect, and probably have hired people to deal with in advance. They might be assholes, but they aren't totally without brains.
Instead, a great idea would be to find out where some of the WBC members are couped up. Find out where they live, and hang their places out. With this, they will surely be demoralized and threatened, showing you can do more than just 'hack websites'.
Of course they might still continue to blather, but soon enough people will leave the WBC in trade for their safety.

Eh, I'd actually like to see something creative from Anon this time. Maybe replacing the entire site with an alturnate one explaining the research of Darwin? Or simply the words "Stop that. This is getting rather silly" with the appropriate Monty Python graphic, and a button linking to the still intact site?

Simply DDOS-ing the site is a bit dull, even though it probably is the simplest method of showing disapproval.

Also, LOIC (Low Orbit Ion Cannon) is the name of an old program. Basically, makes it really easy for even the most inexperianced Anon to join the raid.
