Seriously, i had a blast with the game, but it freaking hated me.

Same Hear great story. Actually i'm considering once i become more skilled will 3d modeling to re create ZERO 3 in a Mega man legends sort of style. Same platforming up floors but imagine the fun to be had. Give me about 1 year and i'll have some sort of demo product.

Okay people are gonna hate me for this but one of the hardest games I've ever played is parappa the rapa, other than the mind numbing finger bleeding happy place that game gave me for the rest of my life. the only thing that even comes close would be The Unfair Platformer where you play an atypical snob of a character that gets his rocks off by dieing in ways that make you wanna punch something soft squishy and possibly crying because it has poo in it's dipper but i digress these are the kind of games that bring me back for more simple but so fu hard it would take a diamond to cut through.

God Hand on hard (which fixes the difficulty at "level DIE") is ludicrously difficult. I've been playing it almost since it came out and still haven't beat it on hard.

Why campaign only?

Because some things, other than the campaign, are just designed to be impossible. I was looking for things that had a story to them, not things that just go "HERE'S HARD STUFF". For example, on Blazblue there's Score Attack which is pretty hard but that's what it's there for, there's nothing else you get from it other than bragging rights.

Unless, of course, you meant Multiplayer... In which case, *hits you over the head with a newspaper* bad Reaper!

but yea, X-Com- Terror From the Deep. Hardest game I ever played, and this from someone who was able to beat UFO Defense on a difficulty that WASN'T the easiest.

EDIT- Just read the other posts on here....really? I'm the first one to mention ANY of the X-Com TBS games? You kids and your "hard" games...

I love that game but it kicks my ass every time I play it.

Totally agree with you. So good, yet so brutally hard. The two previous parts are also extremely difficult but Super Ghouls n' Ghosts is by far the hardest

I have to agree. While not the overall hardest game I've ever played, the battle with against the hunter primes caused me to ragequit and never play it again for over a year.
