Why campaign only?
Because some things, other than the campaign, are just designed to be impossible. I was looking for things that had a story to them, not things that just go "HERE'S HARD STUFF". For example, on Blazblue there's Score Attack which is pretty hard but that's what it's there for, there's nothing else you get from it other than bragging rights.

Unless, of course, you meant Multiplayer... In which case, *hits you over the head with a newspaper* bad Reaper!
A game being hard is up for interpretation depending on the player. At least the way I see it anyways. I think multiplayer and other modes should be applicable, but whatever works.

OT: Another one to add is the X Series, mainly X3: Reunion.

I know what you are talking about. It put me on a check point down hill next to a rolling grenade. Jeebus.

Speaking of Roguelikes... Angband. That game consistently kicks my butt. I have never had a character make it past level 35 without dying horribly. And you can only save your character by cheating, because when you die, your game overwrites the save file, making it a dead character. Try to load it again? No dice. Won't let you do it.

Some of the Tomb Raider games. I know, they're probably a lot easier for everyone else, but I struggle so bad at these and just these games. Especially the earlier ones when Lara still had boxes for breasts.

Multiplayer is dependant on the people you're fighting.

Ninja Gaiden 2 (The new one) Yeah, that game was hard enough on the easiest and the "normal" difficulty... to this day I still haven't been able to beat the FIRST level on "Way of the Mentor" Which is not even the hardest setting to play on (There's still "Way of the Master Ninja" after that)

I still love the game to death though.

You wimp. Modern Warfare 2 is nothing compared to the pain I endured on Company of Heroes just now.

Bloody rocket barrages... I hate those barrages...

*tears in eye*

You play the game and tell me it's not hard!
you sissy. Company of Heroes is nothing compared to the pain I endured on Call of Duty 5 just now.

Bloody grenade spammers... there's like millions of them...

Well Ninja Giaden was a pain but Mount and Blade: Warband on full difficulty is bane, I will also commend Heavy Weapon (Atomic Tank) on its silly difficulty slope, fun game though.

I remember getting pissed of with Double Dragon 3. I could make it to the last level, but would always die at the platform jumping section in the first area.

Megaman ZERO.

Seriously, i had a blast with the game, but it freaking hated me.
Yes! And when the base got invaded, and I was too weak so I'm going "huh? Why is this-" "OH, IT'S BECAUSE I FAILED EVERY SINGLE MISSION!"

It's all good now though, except for the final boss T.T
I never had enough e-crystals to feed the damn cyber elfs.
By the time i got to the final stage i was so underpowered it was painful yet so fun to play.

Same Hear great story. Actually i'm considering once i become more skilled will 3d modeling to re create ZERO 3 in a Mega man legends sort of style. Same platforming up floors but imagine the fun to be had. Give me about 1 year and i'll have some sort of demo product.
That sounds awesome.

Let's see now:

*I wanna be the guy

*Dead Rising

*Playing particular surf or climb maps on Counter strike source

*Some of the arcade Dead Or Alive games

*Any rhythm game (DDR, guitar hero take your pick) set to the much harder difficulties. I always come out having lost and with much sorer legs and fingers respectively.

*Some of the levels on 'Splosion Man were murderous

*System Shock 2

But I'll keep coming back for more...like a *****.

Every single post has been pathetic in comparison to the games I have sitting on my desktop.

Beat the last level of rRootage on PSY mode, and you have overcome difficulty.
Get every red gem in Jumper 2, and you have overcome difficulty.
Beat Jumper Redux, and you have overcome difficulty.
Get all the Energy Chips and Triangles in Dim and you have overcome difficulty.
Get to level 30 on Expert in Torus Trooper and you have overcome difficulty.

None of you have experienced anything like this, by the looks of it... Modern Warfare 2, come on!

rRootage is similar to this, except it takes longer to 'reset' the bosses. PSY mode, I'd say it's slightly harder than that video.
