Why do I have the perseverance to sit through:

Troll 2: Worst Movie EVERRR!!!!

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix: Long & shitly boring as hell.

But I did actually leave Princess Bride: first five minutes are boring as shit.

Game Plan: Not funny

Well, I'm one of the types who can't walk out of a film..but I can turn them off or fall asleep during them!!
Well, The Love Guru deserved walking out on...Mike Myers trying to be Austin Powers again...wheeee
I've learned to avoid anything with the ending "Movie" in it...except for Silent Movie
Epic movie was the stupidest thing I've ever seen. A rap song, sex joke, or some random movie scene every 5 seconds does NOT constitute a good parody! So where do they even get the money to make these crap films anymore?

I don't recall having walked out of a movie either. The closest I've come recently was INLAND EMPIRE (David Lynch's capitals, not mine). I'm a huge Lynch fan, and I wasn't disappointed with the film as such, but because of the nature of the film, I found it a huge struggle to watch it through to the end.

For those who haven't seen it, the film has little or no discernible plot after a certain point (or at least a plot discernible by me). His previous work has always had a plot; perhaps a surreal plot that's open to interpretation, but a plot nonetheless. INLAND EMPIRE has many amazing scenes and images: some scary, some funny, some plain confusing. I found the experience of sitting through over three hours of these scenes without some kind of narrative thread was making me feel really anxious, and at one point I just wanted to get out. Managed to tough it out though. I bought the DVD as well.

Concerning leaving DVDs part way through: For me, that's normally a sign of a mediocre film. The really terrible ones are quite compelling. For example, the presumably straight-to-DVD 'American Psycho 2'. I chanced upon it while channel surfing, and I don't think I've ever seen a film that was so awful in every single way. The plot is preposterous and full of holes; the script is so bad I think I could have written in less time than it took to watch the film; the music is hilariously out of place; and it stars William Shatner. It is truly awful in so many ways, and I've seen it three times now, just by showing it to friends for their amusement.

I've never walked out of a theater, even if it's REALLY bad, I stay because I have hope...A hope for a movie that doesn't 100% suck. Most of the time I am wrong. I've never taken a DVD out and thrown it on the ground while cursing either.

What I do is start watching a DVD late at night, fall asleep and then decide it really isn't worth finishing, then I return it to Blockbuster, maybe I'll rent it again maybe I won't.

I don't have an up to date list of movies...and can't remember the last one I saw I didn't like (that is a bad sign that it is that forgettable).

A movie that I hate... Ever seen Snakes on a Train or Transmorphers, how about Alien vs Hunter? No? Good, they're all horrible pieces of ass.
I hate those crappy movies that border on Copyright infringement...like that movie that rips off Pixar's Cars...I think it's called "The Little Cars". Some cheap Brazilian animated movie and some other movie that rips off Bee Movie, presumably by the same company. Animation was awful, voice acting sucked, whole thing was just terrible in both cases. No wonder people make YouTube poops out of this crap.

Sounds like Space Chimps and Fly Me to the Moon (which by the way looks so terrible even my little sister would like it and she loves Toontown) totally flying on the WALL-E space wagon.

Yea both of those were just complete crap, Epic Movie could easily have been on Nickelodeon and had been just half an hour.

only movie i've walked out on was Agent Cody Banks 2, saw the premiere of it, turned out no one else wanted to see it, so it was only me and my 2 mates in the entire cinema, really fucking weird, there were no guy in the projection room, and none in the lobby, it was totally deserted, so after taking a nap on a couple of seats in the first row, i walked out, couldnt take it, that movie sucked balls, i thought it would be atleast kinda funny, seeing as i enjoy Malcolm In The Middle for some strange reason, but no, it was just boring and crappy as hell

the horse whisperer....i know its a crime i was in there in the first place but that's another story. Needles to say, i didn't walk out physically but the hour and a half sleep i had instead was my own silent testimony to the level of shit i was watching.

My friend was dragged by his girlfriend to see that film, as were a lot of poor souls.

And then I wonder how that worked in the first place. I can't get my boyfriend to do anything he knows he won't enjoy. Anything. Ever. So I get surprised when other guys willingly submit themselves to a situation they know they'll hate.
well, some guys are just special. but most just like sucking up to their women by suffering through stupid shitfests like that, nothing else.

if you were hoping for a better explanation, there isn't one. trust me

Watched about half of Mortal Kombat: Annihilation, but that was on video from TV (in my spare time I hunted dinosaurs and gathered berries). Had its moments, sure, but God damn that was a terrible film...

EDIT: Cyndal twirling about on the table? That moment right there ruined whatever might have been redeemable in the movie (shame, too, since I thought the whole 'false prophecy' thing was pretty clever).

Never walked out of a movie because that would be money wasted, besides I watch films in cinemas that are guaranteed to be good (Spider-man 3, Pirates of the Caribbean 2, the simpsons movie etc)

The only movie I ever walked out of in my entire life was a Norwegian kiddy movie "Jakten på Nyresteinen" ("Hunting the Kidney Stone") based off a book by the same title. That was forever ago and I can't for the life of me even remember why I did walk out of it (probably because it involved a travel to the protagonist 8-year-old's grandpa's innards and bored me or grossed me out as a child).

Eragon. I'd never read the books before the movie, thank goodness, or I probably would have been more upset- I hear they're great novels. But it was a DREADFUL movie.

Brokeback Mountain. I love Heath Ledger. I'd always wanted to be in a movie with him one day, you know, as his sexy costar who he has an affair with. Then he went and died. I also am fond of Jake Gyllenhall. Hated them together in this movie. I've gone on total rampages about this movie before and how much it sucked, but I'll summarize here.

Now, when I say "I hated Brokeback Mountain," (and yes, I actually do mean "hate," a word I don't throw around) people say "You just don't like it because they're gay," No. They fail at life. Don't try to project society's reflection on homosexuality onto a movie review. Brokeback Mountain was a terrible movie because it had a terrible, uninteresting plot.
Exposition: Jake and Heath get a job together as cowboys.
Rising Action: The guys have sex. This little bump of a rising action leads up to... oh wait, nothing! There was no climax!
Up on the little mesa the rising action got us to: The guys go home and get married like normal men but still meet up for "fishing trips." Their wives get antsy and their marriages go down the drain.
Resolution: Jake dies. There. Thank the goddess, that put an end to that.

... and HeartagramMan, suck and blow is freakin' sweet.

yeah.eragon was a disgrace to the book.be glad you hadn't read them.

i SLAPPED my friend upside the head for saying he rented the godfather and returned before it was even over.
