As someone who has been the victim of racism, I don't think it's funny to dredge up old stories just to laugh at them. I don't think they're funny, and I especially don't think white people should "mock" them as if they are innocent of any racism or prejudice. So cut it out.

There's a difference between laughing at something like a racist attack or just stupid absurd bullcrap a racist might say.

Person being attacked for being a certain skin colour ---> not funny in the slightest

Indeed. Though from my experience, most "racists that are to be taken seriously" don't have their beliefs due to skin colour. Such as many of the eastern European nationalist groups. It's much more deeper than that with those kind of guys.

Most of those groups aren't picky. As long as you're not exactly like them, you're inferior.

Hm, not sure if this is exactly fitting but yesterday I was playing Deadspace (which is vital to getting why this is funny and that it isn't actually racist.) and I got jumped by some Necromorphs and yelled "I fucking hate black babies!" and instantly facepalmed at that.

There's special necromorphs that are black after their transformation, which are stronger faster more mean. So while it's laughable, if you don't get the context it could be something upsetting.

Racism has always confused me. I mean I could understand why, for example, polish people would hate Russians or Swedes (what with the deluge and everything) but they don't seem to.

Unless they do and I'm just ignorant. Are there any Polish people on this site? If so, do you or your countrymen feel upset about it?

Well Russia has quite a long history of persecuting Poles and annexing their territory going back to the 18th century. Then in 1939, when Germany invaded Poland, Hitler and Stalin split Poland up into two halves, and then the Soviet Union pretty much annexed Poland during the post WWII era. As for Polish racism towards Swedes I have no idea, hell I wasn't even aware there was resentment towards Swedes until you mentioned it.
