It was interesting the first time someone pointed that out - now it's getting old...Jaranja said:WelshD_987 said:No one is British - your either Scottish, English or Irish...

Of course it is. We're still talking about a collection of countries. It was just the only example I could think of as its been said in films before (I'm sure).D_987 said:It was interesting the first time someone pointed that out - now it's getting old...Jaranja said:WelshD_987 said:No one is British - your either Scottish, English or Irish...

NBope, he's right. the Beatles were already massive before appearing on the Ed Sullivan show. They were actually huge in Germany way before they broke through in the UK. America was just another stepping stone. Nothing more, nothing less.Radeonx said:I'm just stating that part of your argument is false.HUBILUB said:Who cares about that? Are you trying to make America look superior to Britain with that argument? That's pretty fucking stupid of you.Radeonx said:You're forgetting that the Beatles didn't get full worldwide recognition until they toured in America.HUBILUB said:British stereotypes? Awesome and fucking scary. I mean, hooligans, best rockers in the world and food that will kill you. That's a fucking hardcore country right there.
Also, since The Beatles come from England, that makes it the most awesome place ever to have existed.
Beatles > Michael Jackson, Elvis, Jimi Hendrix, Anyone else
OT: They're alright, I guess.
No - it isn't. You would be defending your planet then yes, but Britain is a collection of countries with different stereotypes - there is no British stereotypes, there are just different countries stereotypes - how many more times do I need to say this?Woodsey said:Of course it is. I wish we would. The problem is we have too many idiotic tabloids trying to claim that getting the Euro would amount to sacrificing babies to Belzebub.Sneaklemming said:Get the Euro pleeeeeaaassee I;m sick of having to deal with two currencies, when theres no rational reason to.
The planet is a collection of countries with different stereotypes. Nevermind, agree to disagree. I get where you're coming from, but considering (for example) that the Americans inter-change Britain and England whenever they feel like, any stereotypes they may hold often swing either way.D_987 said:No - it isn't.
