Hey guys, I was just wondering. SInce PKMN Black & White has been announced, what do you think of it? Will it finally revitalize the Series?? Will it just be another printed out copy of the first PKMN? I'm hoping, that since they finally are going back to Colors, that it will at least have an original story line, which will revitalize the series!! Yay!!!!

When I first read about this, I thought it would be a game where you play as either a benevolent or cruel deity who rules over his people and conquers other peoples with the aid of his holy pokémon, which would be trained during the course of the game.

Needless to say, I was disappointed when I found out it would actually be two more of the pokémon games that are increasingly difficult to tell apart...

Yea, they are getting repetitive. But the exec's at GameFreak said it would revitalize the Series, so hopefully they're just not lying...

I'm sorry to say that it feels like the ideas for new pokemon looks dry to me. Nothing really captured the same magic as those first 151 for me (though Gold and Silver did come close). Then you've got the legendaries. You've pretty much caught God by now. Where do you go from there? I'll be willing to see what it looks like when it comes out, but I don't really have much hope left for this series.

Why limit yourself to things just because you're older? It's always nice to take a step back and examine what something that was a huge part of our (atleast my) childhood and see what it's turned into. Also, it's a game about going around and collecting superpowered monsters, learning their strengths and weaknesses and developing a strategy to beat your enemies, and exploring a huge world. Why would I not want to look into it?

They need to add something to it to make it different, and I'm not talking about new pokemon they have enough of them. They just released HeartGold and SoulSilver, the original Gold and Silver had the most innovation in the entire series, and if they cant make something that brings a few new things to the table I can't see myself getting all excited about it.

I'm 15, what's wrong with PKMN? At least I broaden my variety of games, unlike most smucks who don't like anything unless it comes with a gun to shoot other people. Jesus

The ones above you?

15, 25, and unknown. Now you're new here, and I'm going to give you some advice.

Don't continue posting like this.

I can see you're already on probation for posting something similiar on another thread. Act a bit more mature and don't place flamebait.

Now, onto the topic.

It's too early for me to place much judgement yet. I'm very happy with how HG and SS turned out though, as they're remakes of my favourite versions done extremely well.

You raise a good point. What on earth can they have for the Legendary Pokemon now? I mean they've now done time and space. What is more powerful then that?! They really should have just continued to make one like Celebi or something. Ones that just bend it, and protect forests and such. That way you could have expanded a great deal more.

Eventually, PKMN is going to start creating its own elements. But did they get a quintessence Legendary??

24, but I really just showed up to make that Black & White joke.

Your pointless incredulity about other people's interests kind of makes you sound like you're 12, though.

There's more? When will that series die?

I liked Red/Blue, and the ones after that (gold/silver?) were ok, but the newer ones are just more of the same. Yawn.

I'm surprised that no one mentioned that Platinum and HG/SS were test runs for this game and that there's been no mentioning of the redone 3D towns, Pokemon Center/Marts and battle sequences. And as for my 2 cents, I'll wait for further details before deciding on whether I'm gonna buy or not.

Exactly! They're my personal favourites. Well, now HG and SS are, but they were! Better then Generations 1 and 3 because they kept in Gen. 1 when you played through.

This time around I did something a bit more fun though. Full Eevee team!

Jolteon = Columbus
Vaporeon = Newark
Flareon = Yuma
Espeon = Chicago
Glaceon = Nome
Leafeon = Everett

I love my naming pattern and the fact that it's literally a team of Eevees that I bred for their purpose. Also have an Umbreon named Seattle in the Pokewalker, but he's not nearly as powerful as the others sadly. Can only take 6 though, not 7.

Oh, and welcome to the Escapist by the way. Enjoy your stay, and please be careful, the automated doors are now closing behind you!
