Leela crouched in the darkness, her uniform making her a bit indistinguishable from the surrounding trees. These Fighter gym types were getting on her nerves, why'd some nobodies always have to go and ruin something for her? It wasn't like the Rockets were doing anything in Saffron, just passing through, but no, these guys couldn't get off their high horse long enough to know that they couldn't take them all, and didn't realize they didn't want anything to do with Saffron at the moment.

She'd let out Rainy a few minutes back and he was currently slithering through the trees again, on his way to drop down on one of the unsuspecting trainers by the fire. They were going to be in for a nice little surprise tonight.

"Hey!"

Every Rocket's blood froze. A laughing Dojo trainer approached the fire.

"The Rockets are back!"

"Wait, what?" said a trainer by the fire. He sat bolt upright.

"Apparently some of them were in the city during the day. The cops and the freaks are scouring the city for them."

"We were told to wait here."

"Bah, where's the fun in that? We should go join them! And maybe meet some girls."

"Go to bed Brian." said on of the trainers lying on the ground. "Some of us are tired after running all day."

"I brought beer!"

He popped a capsule and there was the sound of glass breaking on the ground.

"You had beer. Idiot."

"Most of these are still good..."

He passed out a bottle to each of the trainers sitting up.

"Fine, you can stay."

"I still want to go get laid tonight."

"Don't we all?"

Max motioned to his grunts who started closing in again as the talking continued.

3 awake, 2 asleep.

Ellie found the target of her interests seated at the bar, talking to some... some stupid hipster piece of trash in leather pants. She felt her blood boil. He didn't deserve the commander's attention. She stole a small glass of alcohol off of a table, downing the liquid courage before taking a trip to the bathroom. On the way, she ran into her favorite Rocket.

Walking up to the oblivious man, she grabbed his arm and swung him around, slamming him into the wall while keeping his arm back. "Listen to me carefully. You can either try to fight off black belt's with a broken arm, or you can help me do something."
"You're fucking crazy, *****-!"
Ellie twisted Matt's arm, his howl lost in the deafening music. "Dance with me."
"Wha?"
"Dance. What they're doing. Do that. With me."
"What...?"
She put pressure on his arm.
"Fine fine!"
Ellie dragged him into the bathroom with her, taking a quick minute to fix herself. She wiped her face off, using some water and her fingers to comb out her hair. She stashed her hat in her bag, and tied up her rocket top to show her midriff. She didn't have any make up, but had no idea how to apply it anyway. Besides, it wasn't really bright in the club. It wouldn't matter. She experimentally moved her hips, mimicking the girls outside on the stage. Satisfied, she walked back out, keeping Matt's arm in a vice grip.

Once they were back near the bar, she pushed him into the edge of the crowd. She braced herself against his chest, eyes glued back on her commander as she started to grind against Matt, flipping her hair back. She felt the other Rocket's fingers creeping up on her thighs, grabbing one and twisting it back in warning. This show wasn't for him, he was just one of her tools. She liked that thought. Her tool. She would have to remember to let Matt know he was her tool now.

If Alex had spotted Ellie, he didn't bother to give her a glance. The guy he was sitting with was swaying slightly and had a stupid grin on his face. He rubbed his leg up against his.

"Man, talking to you is making me a little dizzy..." said the trash with that lopsided grin. Alex breathed in the smell of his breath and giggled. It reminded him of when his brother used to take him on his adventures...

"Daniel..."

"Bruce actually." winked the guy in leather. Alex leaned over and planted a kiss on him while some dancers hooted.

"Have you seen them? There's a few people here in Rocket uniforms."

"Are they really Rockets?"

"Would a Rocket be drinking up with us?"

"Man, those guys get it. I mean, fuck the law. Dress like a Rocket, get bitches." said one dancer loudly.

The crowd surged around Alex and he got up, leaving the guy spinning on his stool. They liked him now. They'll fear him later. Still, he was enjoying himself. Grabbing a random guy's girl, he started dancing. The other grunts, to their dismay, started getting unwanted attention too.

"Where'd you get that uniform? It looks just like the ones in the papers!"

"I want to rob my house tonight..." said a tipsy girl, grinding up against a Rocket grunt.

With Alex swallowed up in the crowd they had no idea where to go or what to do. One by one the grunts started to dance and drink. It seemed like the thing to do after all.

Back at the barn, Mayu made her way in before settling down, face first, on top of some hay. She could see Scott, but didn't pay him or his Pokemon much mind. If he were to look, he would likely notice her still reddened thighs, and her bottom was even darker, though that was hidden by her skirt. Sniffing, she made a hay-pillow and said. "I'll definitely get back at them."

Matt was thoroughly enjoying himself right until Alex left. As soon as he did, Ellie stepped on his foot hard. She shoved him back, grabbing his wrist again and walking towards the bar. "It's Cecil, by the way" he grumbled, his face twisted into a grimace as he limped.

"Hey, come here a second. My... brother, wants to talk to you."
"Bruce" was already drunk, and looked drugged too, both which helped her case. Seething anger hidden behind a half smile. She held onto Matt tightly as he tried to inch away, digging her nails into his skin. "He's shy, he wanted me to... introduce you." The man got up, and she easily lured him to the exit. Once they were close enough, she released Matt, and grabbed Bruce, pushing him outside into an alley.

She shoved her hat, now little more than a bundle of cloth, into his mouth, and then punched him hard in the jaw. NO ONE DESERVES HIM She yelled angrily and kicked him in the stomach. Once, twice, until he flipped onto his back, and then she stomped on his face. Her jealousy had come full circle as she beat the drunk into the concrete, blood splattering on her pale skin. When she was done, she leaned against the wall next to the unconscious Bruce. She lit her cigarette, calming down. "You're lucky, you know. You don't have to work for his favor. You don't have to impress him." She flicked the ash off. "You probably won't even remember him. He meant nothing to you."

It only took a few minutes for her to finish. She threw her butt on the half dead clubber, turning and reentering the club. No doubt Matt had already left. She made a note to break him a little more next time she saw him.

Caid sighed a little indignantly when she noticed they'd been in the club for far longer than she'd expected. Or wanted, for that matter. She scanned the area, hoping that there was some sort of signal that they could start wrecking the joint, but to her horror, the only things she saw her fellow Rockets doing were...drinking and dancing. She sighed and grabbed a drink from the bar.

"Fukkin' hell...here I was, thinkin' we'd actually get'ta fuck somethin' up, ya know?" She turned to Sandy, who was smart enough not to disagree with her to her face. After awhile, he started looking over to the dancefloor, and a few times looking to just slip out of her line of sight. No such luck for the boy.

"The fuck man, you wanna go dance an' shit?" She asked, with a slight snarl. After Sandy nodded sheepishly, Caid sighed loudly and grabbed another drink. "I'mma fukkin' need this..." and grabbed the boy's arm, leading him to the crowded floor to cut a rug, not even noticing any attention they may've been receiving.

Scott watched as the young girl collapsed on a pile of hay. He didn't bother to even wave, she looked exhausted. Scott continued to examine his new pokemon.
"Scratch" Scott exclaimed.
The feline pokemon just looked at him puzzled.
"Seriously? You don't even know Scratch? We have a lot of work to do."
The Meowth looked at him with excitement, then the pair began to train... It was going to be a long night.

Come on, come on...

Max should have done the first strike himself but he wasn't too certain about the confidence of all of his men. After all, they had been throughly beaten the day before and Yellow Team was one of the youngest Team Rocket groups out there.

Luck was with them however. The talking had stopped and one of the men by the fire had laid down onto his side although he still threw twigs at the flames. The other two seemed to be warding off sleep by willpower alone.

* * * * * * * * *

Was it the dancing? Probably the drinking. The lights swirled and the music boomed. Alex was enjoying himself. He had given away his hat and had spiked a few more drinks as he had gone through the club. Saffron was his town and nothin-

The music stopped abruptly. A fat man in a blue police uniform grabbed the mic.

"Rockets have been spotted in the city. A new curfew is in effect until the criminals are arrested."

The crowd's eyes slowly started to focus on each of the Rockets. A woman screamed. Alex sprung up to the front.

"There are no Rockets in the city, just us!" he said, pointing out the Rockets in the crowd one by one.

"You're under arrest!" said the man, gesturing for more officers to enter.

"For what? Our clothing? We wouldn't hurt a fly, we're just having fun! Is fun illegal in Saffron now?"

"Gang colours are not all-"

"Yeah, just having fun! Get lost!" shouted one guy. He was wearing Alex's hat and was swaying slightly.

"Arrest them." said the officer by the turntable, starting to sweat a little. The officers pushed in towards each Rocket but the crowd shoved them back.

"Leave them alone! They haven't done anything!"

Alex shoved the cop away from the DJ.

"Let's keep this party going!"

The music started up again but dancing was forgotten. Shoving turned to kicking, kicking to punching and punching led to Pokeballs being flung. The Growlithes of the four police officers were swarmed by pet Magnemites, Lickitungs, Mr. Mimes, Clefairy...

"Saffron! SAFFRON!" shouted Alex encouragingly, returning to the bar to pick up his bat.

"We can dress like Rockets if we want to!"

"FUCK YEAH!"

Alex and the Rockets went along with the crowd, rushing to leave the club. In the streets there were more late going party goers who joined in. Alex smashed a window and threw some clothes on a display to the crowd. From then on they needed no more encouragement.

Weeding his way through the crowd of drugged up, boozed up and bored angry teenagers; Alex found his Rockets one by one.

"Isn't it glorious? So many rules in this city since The Arrows wrecked shit up. They're bored, no crime, no life. When Giovanni comes back this city will live!"

He considered joining the rampage he had started up. To be sure the cocktail of drugs he slipped into random drinks had given the crowd a quick boost. Now that they were rioting the stupidity of human nature would take care of the rest.

"...we best return. Maxie's probably shitting his pants. Come on my tools, lets carry out our mission. Maybe the eyes around the city will be called away!"

He twirled his bat and started to whistle a little.

Ellie was still close to the door when everything stopped. She stood still for a while before taking a step back, trying to think of anything to do. That's when she heard the Commander's voice. It was pure genius, what he did. She would have stood there to marvel a little more, but then the crowd erupted, and she almost got stampeded as people ran out of the exit and into the streets. Almost. He saved her. He came back for her. She wasn't useless to him.

All the Rockets burst out with the crowd, but ran. She could see the beginnings of the riot as they disappeared again. The Commander, Matt, the woman, and her pet, were all there. It looked like they had narrowly managed to escape perfectly fine. It was brilliant, and wonderfully executed. She stayed near the back of the crowd this time, giving the Commander some space. The fact that he hadn't left her was enough to placate her bitterness from earlier, and she smiled a bit, even running a little faster.

She wasn't useless.

He came back.

He saved her.

Leela and some Rocket grunt stood next to each other in the darkness, waiting for the right moment to strike. It came in the time of the nearest one finally succumbing to the needs of the mind and body, namely the urge to pee. He wandered off into the woods, and to a secluded little hollow a few yards from the camp.

Rainy-Day dropped out of the trees and landed his full weight upon the man, who didn't bow, but stumbled as he was still in the middle of the act. Leela was able to kick his knees out from under him as he struggled to figure out what was wrong. A few moments later and he was sleeping from a puff of Bellsprout poison after a short tussle in the woods.

"Goooood boy, sleepy time now."

When Leels and the grunt jumped into action, Max and the others were already ontop of the trainers as a cry rang out in the dark. With all of them restrained with rope, conveniently provided by the trainer's own supplies, Max picked up the oldest of the trainers.

"Where's the rest of you idiots?"

"I'm not- AHHH!"

A few gut punches and they always fold. No one has any steel when they are alone. Pathetic.

"Not so brave when you're the one surrounded and aren't running with dozens of guys who have your back. Now tell me!"

He talked.

They left them there, tying them all together.

"If the gym trainers are all at the gym like he claims, we might have a chance to get Alex and the others out. The cops we can lose. The psychics however... They're out of our league. Be careful."

They made their way into the residential neighborhoods. A few police were walking the beat but not nearly the presence Max had been expecting. They were real easy to sneak past.

* * * * * * * * * *

Alex ushered the grunts into a back alley.

"Stop, Saffron watch! You're destroying our city! What are you punks doing?!?" shouted a Dojo gym trainer, leading a group of more than two dozen whitebelts towards the riot. They had long since left the heart of the riot but more and more youths had joined in.

It was if the city had remembered how to steal.

"And its all because of me. I wonder if they'll write stories about me..."

"Sir?"

"Shut up fool, can't you see I'm daydreaming?"

They continued down the dark alley. They were caught between two large office buildings but they were almost out of the downtown core.

"Hey!"

An elderly looking police officer with at least eight officers spotted the dark figures in the alley.

"This way!" said Alex, turning back when he was blinded by an intensely bright light. A handheld searchlight was held by another three officers back from the way they came.

"The Rockets are here!" said the old cop into his radio triumphantly.

"We're getting Rockets across the entire city Slim, you've got a good number of guys with you. Handle it. We've got riot control to deal with too. What? Another fire? Chrissakes, what happened tonight? The force is already all ou-"

The radio droned on but the Pokeballs were already in the air. Alex grinned as his Primeape flexed.

"Hey biker *****." he said, turning to Caid wickedly. "Show us what you can do to those three back there. Take your boyfriend with you, we've got these jokers."

He threw his bat up in the air and caught it.

"Do you want to try and restrain the trainers or are you going to ***** out after we kick your Pokemon's fucking shins in? Cause I really want to see you try, old man."

The fighting erupted.

Ellie released her Nidorina and Zubat. Her Ponyta had to stay in its ball for now, at least until they got out into the open. In the close quarters, the flames wouldn't be picky about what it engulfed. The Nicorina scurried past Alex and the Primeape, which was thankfully preoccupied with another pokemon, and went horn first into a Growlithe. The two tumbled in the dust, with the Nidorina scratching and kicking each chance it had. The Zubat flew around, letting off small flashes of light as it used Confuse Ray, occasionally landing on one of the disoriented pokemon to drain its energy.

"how long will this walk last... i've been walking for hours..."
Dylan had been looking for the other members for a while now, but it seems that luck was not on his side. All he ate were some berries he found while walking, and water. He had lost all hope when he saw an old barn from a distance.
"At last, a house... I'm saved..."
He ran as fast as he can and carefully walked inside the barn.
"Hello? is anyone here?"

The streets of the outskirts of Saffron were quiet but the closer they got to the downtown core, the louder the roar was. It sounded as if hundreds of people were shouting in the distance.

"I don't know what's going on but I bet Alex is at the center of it."

Wouldn't it be funny if they were lynching him? It'd be a shame about the girl though...

Max shook his head. Concentrate. Another alley, another bored looking cop walking. Pause. Past this family having a barbecue. The smell of food made his stomach ache. They had no food anymore since the camp was sacked.

"Alex, you've fucked us real good. We're going to have to go without food until Lavender if we make it out of here..." muttered Max as he stalked forward quietly.

* * * * * *

The cops facing Caid closed the distance fast, their Growlithes leaping forward eagerly. Alex and the rest watched the impact of the furious Primeape hitting an unlucky Growlithe, sending the Pokemon smashing into its own trainer.

"Where you at? Where you at!?!" screamed Alex, delighted. A Rocket on his left however wasn't fairing as well as his Rattata went down. The Growlithe barked triumphantly but jumped back when Alex's Primeape swung round.

"Idiot! Fight him, don't play with him!" shouted Alex at the grunt as the thuggish man drew out another ball. It was another Rattata. Sometimes Alex felt sorry for his tools. They were just so weak.

Managing to get out of the alley and into a bit more space, Ellie released her Ponyta. Fire against fire didn't really work, but it did manage to catch some of the trainer's uniforms on fire. Other than that it was a brawl, with the Ponyta tackling the dogs as they locked their teeth around her legs. "Nidorina!" The blue pokemon shook off a Growlithe and kicked it in the face before running horn first into one of the ones hassling the Ponyta.

Some of the policemen looked like they wanted to fight more even after their pokemon went down, and she wasn't sure that they would have lasted if it all went to shit again. Thankfully, they seemed more concerned over their mutts, returning them to their pokeballs and running in what she assumed was the direction of the Pokemon Center. It must be nice to be able to run to the Pokemon Center all the time when your pokemon were hurt. But it made them weak. They fought better when they knew that if they got hurt, they would just have to suck it up until she could get a potion, or until they found a nurse to bully into healing them.

She jumped back as one Growlithe let loose a burst of fire, getting uncomfortable with the rising heat in the alley.

Caid's face broke out into a mad grin at Alex's go-ahead to fight as the police officers started to close their distance. Their Growlithes were barking madly, snapping their teeth and spitting a few ashes at her and Sandy.

She turned to her young friend. "Aright kid. Let's fuck 'em up." Sandy nodded and smirked, showing a positive emotion for the first time since they met.

She threw out her Ekans and Koffing, letting them do some damage to two of the fire dogs while Sandy flung out one of his Pokemon, a Beedrill, to attack the final one. As their pokemon were distracted, Sandy picked up a nearby trashcan and smacked it over the head of one of the officers, and Caid brawls with the other tw, using some of the fighting skills that made her one of the more well-known Riders back in her day. She seemed to enjoy the fight, taking a few shots but giving far more damage back to her assailants. Sandy wasn't doing too bad either, making up for his lack of physical strength with the ingenuity to use objects in the alley to his aid.

Caid's Ekans was coiled around one of the Growliths, biting it repeatedly, and her Koffing was circling around another, spewing gas at it to make it disoriented. Sandy's Beedril was buzzing around the final one, getting in a few jabs with its Twinneedles and Poison Sting when it wasn't dodging embers and such from the annoyed dog.

Eyes from above were watching the police floundering in the alley watched impassively as Growlithe after Growlithe fell. The cops seemed to be well prepared with more of the fire Pokemon and no sooner had a Growlithe fallen, another had taken its place.

The blue haired one. We've dealt with him before.

Long ago. He was young then.

Shall we strike?

Wait.

Alex's Primeape whirled to punch at one of the newly released Growlithes but the burns on its arms were starting to tell. Moreover, these Growlithes were seemingly twice as agile.

"Shit, they've been training." said Alex, serious about the encounter for the first time. The Golbat exploded into the air above him and dived into a Growlithe, sending the dog Pokemon rolling. The grunt on his right threw out his third Pokemon... Another Rattata.

Alex groaned.

"Remind me to kick your ass later Wex..." he said spitefully to the weak trainer. The eldest officer facing Alex laughed a little.

"I haven't even pulled out my trump card. I thought Rockets were toug-"

A Growlithe thrown by the Primeape hit him square in the chest, knocking the wind out of him.

* * * * * * * * *

Max, Leels, Dirk and the others he brought with him paused. There were shouts and footsteps.

"Come on, to the center! We've got to help the deputy with those thugs!"

"Shut up and run!"

"Where is everyone?"

"The riot has moved into the south end."

The cops ran right past the alley Max and the others ducked into.

"Come on, lets get Alex." said Max, tossing out his Zubat. He wasn't going to get surprised in these narrow streets.

"SLASH!"
Scott's meowth dashed forward and swiped with it's claws.

"Good, you're coming along."

The door of the barn swung open. Scott readied himself with his pokemon at his side.

"Hello? is anyone here?"

It was just Dylan, Scott relaxed and returned his meowth to it's pokeball.
