Mayu nodded her head a little bit before going into the Center with Scott. She was exhausted from the run but the last part of walking helped her regain herself, and she knew that her Pokemon needed to be healed a lot more than she did at the moment. She wasn't physically hurt like some of the others. When she entered into the Center, she took out her Pokeballs and held them out for the Nurse to take while saying. "They're really tired, so can you please heal them?"

Scott followed the small girl into the pokemon center. He placed his pokeballs, aside from his new one, on the table. Scot stayed silent and let Mayu do the talking, odd, but Maybe her cuteness would keep from stirring up trouble. Scott scanned the room and noticed the glares and looks of disbelief.

"Shes so young!" He heard a woman whisper to her friend.

-ding dong-

Nurse Joy walked over with the pair's pokeballs on a tray. Mayu almost climbed completely on the counter to grab hers first, Scott then retrieved his. Scott then left 5 pokedollars on the table, then with a quick nodd he turned around and headed toward the door. Mayu heel in toe.

I know theres a bit of a character jack in this post. If it's too much let me know and I'll edit.

Petrel eyed the defeated grunts as they came down the stairs.

"Worthless, every one of you is worthless!" he said as they came down one by one. The orange commander came over and saluted.

"Don't bother saluting, you're a disgrace to orange team. Why I served with orange team in the good old days. What have you done to my beloved team? It's not what it once was... Show me your Pokemon!"

"They're fainted sir, Erika caught me and I had to hold her of-"

Petrel snapped his fingers and two of his bodyguards proceeded to beat the tar out of the hapless commander.

"You, lieutenant. What was your name?"

"Rich sir."

"You don't look very rich but you'll have to pick up the pieces. This worthless pile of snot isn't fit to lead your team anymore so I'm putting you in control."

"Yes sir!"

The orange grunts filed down to a lower level where there were facilities for healing Pokemon. A grunt came up to the executive saluting.

"Sir, elements of blue team arriving as ordered!"

"Good."

More grunts filed down the stairs, most with a confident swagger.

"Blue Commander Kieth reporting!"

"Good to see you, I see you brought some of your younger grunts. You are to send them to Commander Alex, east of Celadon to serve as reinforcements. Even he can't butcher saving green team with so many grunts."

"Should I order them out now?"

"The city is flooded with cops and Erika is still out there trying to wrestle up some more arrests. Wait until morning, they'll have set camp up by then."

"Yes sir!"

"Now, tell me about how operations on the island are going..."

The blue grunts settled down on various couches and chairs, some playing cards. A variety went back upstairs to grab some beer. The city, with most of the Rockets returned to base or regrouped with Max, fell silent once more...

"Heh...come on, if that rat really is in the "top percent" of them, you should gimme it, 'csuse I'm, y'know a 'tester' of 'em." Caid was crouched down in front of a youngster, trying to get him to give up his Ratatta, which had a reputation for being strong. She tried giving her friendly grin, but her look combined with the smell of rotting Muk gave her away as an untrustworthy person to the boy. She was about to use force when she saw the other two grunts rush in, one boy and one girl. They looked pretty beat up, and in quite the hurry.

"Well well..." Caid said, to more herself than anything "Looks like somethin's up..."

She pushes the youngster out of the way and was about to go to them, when she sees the pair grab their Pokemon and run out.

She grins and opens her coat, showing the tattered black shirt with the red R on it. "Well, I ain' gonna let them go without a shadow..." and goes out behind them.

Leela helped Dirk forward as Mayu, Damian, and some new figure behind them came back out of the Pokecenter. Bellsprout and Machoke were either out of it or too close to count and she didn't feel like waiting anymore.

"We'll be going next, Max. Dirk here needs a bit more medical attention than any we can probably give him and our pokemon are out of it just as much as anyone here, I suppose."

"Go ahead." muttered Max to Leels, gazing at the new figure behind Scott.

"Well grunt, tell us who you are and what you're up to. And keep it short, I've had to deal with enough shit for one night." he said as Mayu and Scott fell back in line with the other yellow grunts.

Caid gave a smirk and puts her hands in her pockets, stating "Name's Murdock. Caid Murdock. I was jus' tryin'ta get that little shit in there to gimme his Rattata when I saw those two lookin' like they were on th' losin' end of a fight. So I figgured I'd be there fer backup."

She pulls back her coat to reveal three Pokeballs on her belt. "If ya wanna know what I'm packin', I can show ya."

It was a long boat ride to Celadon city. Not that Ellie minded. The sea was so vast and pretty. Cinnabar Island was pretty, too. It was small, and a bit cramped at times, but even Cinnabar was more lively than Lavender Town. And now she was going to Celadon City. Commander Keith had chosen them specially. She had made Commander Keith proud. Commander Keith was letting her go on a special mission.

It was dark by the time they arrived in Celadon City. It was rainy too. Yet the city was still alive. Lights blinked everywhere, and there were still people out, enjoying the night. "Alright, this place is crawling with trainers and police. We're going to have to sneak in the long way. Rockets split up, you three with me. You two with Lieutenant Arnold, you two with Lieutenant Adrian. Stick to the backroads, we meet up at the game center. Are we clear?"
"Sir, yes, sir!"

Ellie couldn't believe her luck. "Mikaela, Jonathan, you're with me."
Mikaela. Mikaela. She had gone by Ellie ever since joining the rockets because no one could ever pronounce her name right. But Lieutenant Adrian did. This assignment meant that she wouldn't see him again for a while. But she had to do what they commanded. She was a servant, a tool, a pawn to be moved and sacrificed at whim. Indeed, Ellie felt lucky to have such kind masters. Lieutenant Adrian was the one who gave her Ponyta and Pidgey. (She had cried when she was forced to give the bird up. It wasn't that she had grown attached to the pokemon, but she considered it a gift.) He taught her how to evolve her Nidoran. When she failed a mission, he made sure she got patched up after they beat the snot out of her. "Yes sir, Lieutenant!"

The alleys were lonely, but that was good in their situation. It took them 10 minutes to get to the door and meet up with the Commander and the other Lieutenant. They checked their appearances, and the Commander rapped on the door. "Steal Pokemon for profit. Exploit Pokemon for profit. All Pokemon exist for the glory of Team Rocket." Commander Keith went in first, followed by his two Lieutenants. The grunts were last. They were pretty much expected to go and behave off in the corner. It suited Ellie fine. She took out a pack of cigarettes, lighting one there in front of the stairs. Before she could even take a single breath, the man who must have been Executive Petrel looked up. When he saw the cigarette in her hand, she swore his eyes turned to daggers. She knew well enough what that look meant. "Sorry, sir." Back up the stairs it is...

Back into the rain. She was used to the cold, and being wet. Still, imagine her surprise when Lieutenant Adrian Sabre himself came up a few minutes later. "You got another smoke?"
"Yes, sir, lieutenant."
He took it and lit it, not saying another word. The soft glow lit up his sharp feaures, casting strong shadows on his face. His dark eyes just stared up at the sky. A few minutes went by, and he threw it into a puddle. He nodded to her and went back inside. As soon as he left Ellie took her cigarette and put it out on the back of her hand. The burn stung, but she didn't release it. Why didn't she have the courage to say anything? When he was around, it was "Yes Lieutenant", and "Of course, sir". It didn't matter. He would probably end up going out with Marie, or Chelsea, or Andromeda. They had loads more skill than she had, and they were prettier. That was, until she became a Lieutenant herself. Her subservience only extended to Rockets above her in rank, after all. And when that day came, they wouldn't be so pretty anymore.

Mayu was happy that she hadn't caused any kind of commotion while getting her Pokemon healed, and once they were back in tip top shape she buckled them to her belt once more and said with a smile. "I'm glad you're all doing well. My legs are burning a little bit but I'm doing okay too. If we have more stuff like this in the future, I'll definitely get strong legs."

She giggled and then looked to the Rocket that had followed them out. It seemed like she was already getting introduced to Max so she didn't want to get too involved. Looking around though, she had a lingering thought. "Huh? Where's Alex?" It was only now that she realized that he hadn't gone with them.

Dylan sees the other grunts walk out of the pokecenter.
He looks around to see if he can go inside with another person.
"I'll be going next. Is it ok that I go alone?"

"No, I want teams of two. They're far less likely to try and nab two grunts than one on his own." said Max, replying to Dylan.

"Caid Murdock huh? You assigned to a team yet?"

Another goddamned woman although this one seems competent. Smells like the bad end of a Snorlax though.

Even in the sprinkling rain his nose wrinkled a little bit.

"Nevermind, until further notice you're rolling with us. Who else needs to come into the center?"

He waited then sighed.

"Fine, Damian you're with me."

Fortunately the rain was slowing down, the wind pushing it beyond the city after a howling night. Max and Damian entered the Pokecenter casually, ignoring the hostile glares.

"So I'm hangin' with you guys fer awhile? Heh, sweet." Caid wandered over to one of the smaller members of the team and leans an arm on them, waiting for future orders.

Not a bad team...Nothin' like those other assholes I was assigned with. They shoulda known better'n to try'n fuck with Surge.

She took to fiddling with one of the balls on her belt, wanting to mess with her Ekans while waiting.

Fiddling with her balls and wanting to mess with her snake...What has been imagined...X_X

Mayu had been distracted enough that she didn't notice the older female coming over to her until she was relaxing her arm on Mayu's head. Blinking innocently, she shifted her head ever so slightly before asking. "Huh? What are you doing? I'm not a cushion you know." Her cheeks were puffed out a little bit to show her 'irritation'.

Oh god, I didn't even think about that! D:
Caid looks down to Mayu with an amused smirk. "Heh, I know. But yer head's damn comfy'ta lean on." She snickers a bit and ruffles Mayu's hair, then leans on a nearby tree. Her vision scans for another person to bother before leaning on Mayu again.

Mayu pouted a little bit more when she had her hair ruffled, but at least the older woman had gone off to a tree. That didn't last too long though, and soon Mayu was being used as a leaning post once more. Strangely enough, she didn't do anything to stop it. She thought that if she was comfy to lean on, then it was at least a little bit okay.

Dirk turned in his pokemon for healing and left Leela to handle it while he went off to the bathroom, a bandage in hand. Removing the bloodied cloth he inspected his leg. The bleeding had slowed to a trickle but the damage was pretty bad. Fucking rat. Missed the tendon though. He'd be walking funny for a few days and it would hurt but he wasn't going to lose his leg. He cleaned it out and bandaged it up then stumbled back out into the lobby to pick up his pokemon. Without a word he returned to the team and slumped to the ground, leaning against a tree and closing his eyes. He doubted he'd be able to actually get any sleep but you have to take your moments when you can.

"great... now who do I go with..."
"Hey Max, do you need to go to the pokemon center?"
Dylan asked, with a little bit of a hesitant tone.

"Sure, fine." said Max unenthusiastically. He entered the center and ignored the feeling that he should be stronger than this.

"Just patch them up and I'll be on my way." he said to the nurse glaring at him. He could just feel the hostility in her eyes. Without a word she picked up the three balls and took them into the back. Turning to the rest of the center, he noticed a little boy with a Rattata. The boy, recognizing Max, ran out quickly.
