Scott woke suddenly to a tap on his shoulder. The man he instructed to wake up up was doing what he was told.

"Your name Sir?" He asked right before realizing that he actually didn't know Scott's name.

"Scott" Scott said and the man nodded.

"Today's date?" he replied, Scott answered the man with the correct date and the man let out a small smile. "Your Pokemon is all healed Sir Scott. Is there anything else you need?" The man held out Scott's Meowth ball. "A bottle of water would be fantastic, thank you." Scott said before taking his pokeball and clipping it to his belt.. The man nodded and left the barn. Scott fell back to sleep almost instantly.

With her distraction attempt being successful, Mayu made a dash for the loot, taking as many of the storage balls as she could carry and stuffing them into her backpack. Once it was practically filled to the limit, she closed it up and ran. Eventually, she arrived at a ditch that made a perfect hiding spot for the small girl. Panting hard, she said. "T-that was close. I didn't think I would have made it without Koffing. G-good job."

Exhausted, she flopped onto her belly and rested. Normally she would have rested on her back, but she didn't want anything but the air touching her bottom right now.

It's time to wake up

Ellie opened her eyes, shuffling to a sitting position. Almost automatically, she started to stretch her sore muscles. It felt good, all of it. She could tell where she was hurt, and how hurt she was. It wasn't as bad as she thought. She had a few cracked ribs, but everything else was nothing. So trivial, actually, that she figured she might as well get some exercising in.

It was important to stay sharp. Pokemon were just as worthless as their trainers. Ignoring the sharp objections from her arms, she started a few push ups. 10, 20, 30. Sit ups. Then onto the more relaxing part: stretches. She sunk down, her legs opening out into splits as she slowly lowered her hips to the ground. She could do this all day until they were ready to leave.

"Dammit,"Leela whispered to herself in the encroaching darkness of twilight,"This hurts."

She stood and forced herself to bend to check her torso over. After few minutes of inspection, sans clothing to assist in looking, she was sure nothing was broken, but a distinct footprint was bruised onto her skin. Putting her shirt back on, she stood and forced herself yet again to begin stretching, she felt like she'd be needing to run pretty soon, seeing as how the Rockets were faring lately. She began with some jumping to reach a low-hanging beam, continuing onto some modified pull-up, using her torso to pull as much as possible. Finally, she began a few flips, still trying to be as quiet as possible for Max and Scott.

Her body ached after her little exercise, but her stomach felt much better at least. Wiping sweat off her brow, she found more than a few pieces of hay, and went along the process of grooming herself, pulling the hay from the many crevices and orifices of her sleeping body. How did this stuff get in these places?

Max rose, his legs still aching from the running during the morning.

Gonna have to spend the whole night regrouping. Giovanni's going to be pissed...

The boss micromanaged his entire gang even though it seemed like the Executives were calling all the shots. If they were even one day late some heads would roll. Alex would of course be stripped of rank or worse but Max knew he'd be in trouble too.

And Alex still...

There were some moans of pain as the more injured grunts. Max did a quick headcount around the barn. Alex and around a dozen grunts were still missing. Max had the rest. Boris had done a good job getting everyone out of there. It always came in handy to have a strong man with no brain.

"Get your Pokemon healed. Boris, you stay here. I need a few volunteers. We're going to go find Alex and the others."

The dumbasses were tired, sore and unenthusiastic. Typical. Still, some people had to go.

"Dirk, get that leg bandaged. The sucker here will help you. Scott?"

The grunt looked hurt. He did look a lot better than when Boris had to help him out of that damned grove. As much as Max wanted to keep at the bastard for burning down the farm, he needed him to rest more.

"You stay behind." he said after making up his mind. "I need someone who has enough sense to avoid getting tossed by Machamps."

Leels had held her own, Dirk didn't get knocked out. He pointed at them and 3 other grunts.

"We're going to find out what happened to Alex and maybe get some of our loot back."

The tents are ruined though. We're going to be sleeping without those luxuries until we get back to Celadon...

"Well, come on. We leave in ten minutes."

* * * * * * * * * * * * *

Alex stirred. The bulk of the grunts who were split up by the Fighting trainers had ended up with Max he assumed. Max might be a pain in the ass and overly ambitious but Alex was unconcerned about him leaving. He had Max where he wanted him. He always had him where he wanted him.

The grunts who came with him were all asleep except for his latest conquest. His Mikaela. He stared at her exercising. What a pretty tool. She didn't wear out like the others, she came back for more. The last girl he had taken as his own had taken her own life. Mayflower...

Wildcat. That was to be her name next time. There was something about her that Alex recognized. An energy other Rockets lacked. It was something he and his true love shared completely.

"What can we do in this town to really shake things up..." he said quietly, giggling at the prospect of fighting more Fighting Dojo men. For a gym full of body builders, they sure had lousy lowranks. So fragile...

The sun slowly set in Saffron. The room went from a dusty yellow to bright red, to silver finally. The silver that meant they were to move. Ellie's thoughts were interrupted by a pair of eyes staring intently in her direction. "Good... evening, Commander?" She didn't know what he was waiting for. "I-I'm sorry, did I wake you up sir?" She straightened her uniform, dusting her pants off.

Alex just continued to stare. He would have continued staring at her if not for the door opening.

"C-c-commander Alex? There are police here."

Mayu gasped when she realized that she had dozed off a little. Getting up from the ground, she winced as she was reminded of the pain in her rear. That guy said he had held back but her thighs still showed a good bit of color. They had been on the verge of bruising but luckily it hadn't gone that far. Seeing the evening sky, she started running once more.

She ran and ran until she heard movement ahead. Taking cover, she waited to see who it was. Relief overflowed her as she saw that it was Max and a group of Rockets! Coming out, she hurried over and said quietly. "Boss!" She hoped he would be proud as she opened up her bag and said. "I got as much of the loot from those meanies as I could carry! W-what happened? Where's everyone else?"

Finally another distraction moved the burning eyes off. Still, the result wasn't much better. Police. She stood up and slung her backpack on. She remained silent, eyes on the Commander for his decision. Hopefully they would be leaving quickly and quietly, and not fighting the police.

Fuck me, she's back. Like a boomerang.

"Good work." he said grudgingly. "Go back to that barn and keep Scott company, he's hurt. Leave now."

They ranged on ahead but Max kept the pace slow. He wasn't going to run right into a Fighter patrol, especially since they knew where they'd be coming from.

* * * * * *

Alex got to his feet as the other Rockets did.

"Tell me where I can get out of here. Where are all the cops in the town?"

"They're everywhere, you won't get out of Saffron."

"You don't know me doc."

Mayu nodded her head a little bit before saying. "Yes, Boss. I'll keep him company, though he usually puts it all on himself, like what happened to that last barn." She shook her head before hurrying to the barn he had pointed out.

Ellie felt a twinge of pride. Sure, he had gotten them into the mess, but it would be exciting to see if he could get them out as well. It gave her a small rush. Still, they had to regroup with the rest of the Yellow team. Their numbers were dismal, and although she suspected that the Commander would be able to take down the whole city by himself, this wasn't their mission, and he wasn't the only Rocket.

Caid had a rotten bit of sleep that night, being in a foul mood when she went down, not that she didn't relish the fact that she actually GOT some sleep this time...and the fact that she wasn't alone lifted her spirits a bit.

The Rocket she grabbed as a bedmate was the first to awake, with a quick yawn, then a double take at the woman who had a death grip on him. He squirmed and whined a bit at getting her smell on him, but then eventually gave up do to her being much stronger than him. He lied there for about ten minutes before Caid finally woke up herself, giving the grunt she nicknamed Sandy due to his blondish-brown hair a kiss on the cheek, then slapping his hat onto his face before hopping up and stretching out a bit, before lifting one of the heavy metal tables like a barbell so she would be ready for action that night.. Her boytoy scooted away after a bit, but she nodded and winked at him to show that he wasn't complety out of her neck of the swamp yet, to his uncomfort.

Later, when she heard the news of the arrival of the police, she growled and spit a bit, before snarling out "Let 'em fukkin' come. We'll wreck 'em like th' rest'a this fukkin' city!" To show she wasn?t taking any shit from people out of the Rockets, she smashed the table that she was lifting into the ground, almost snapping the legs of it.

She then nodded to Alex, showing she was ready for whatever he decided. "No matter if we fight or flee, I'm fukkin' ready for it."

Scott finally woke for the eighth and final time that day. The. commander told him to stay and rest and he wasn't going to argue with a freebie chance to relax, and get better mind you. Scott tried to stand but he was broken, almost every part of his body screamed in pain. On the bright side it didn't hurt to just breathe, none of Scott's ribs were broken. He still worried for his head, it ached to no end, now he was seeing straight again but Scott still feared a concussion.
There was nothing he could really do to prevent it so he chose to try and not think about it. Scott finally decided to take a good look at his new Pokemon. Releasing it from its ball Scott observed the creature. Playful and warm hearted, this meowth was not ment for battling. She was a pet. The cat began to purr and nuzzle Scott's leg. He just watched and petted the creature.

"No matter if we fight or flee, I'm fukkin' ready for it."

"I hope so biker babe." said Alex, beaming at her enthusiasm.

"Where's the back way out before I make a way out?"

"Uh, over here!" said the sympathetic scientist, running ahead.

"Run boy, run!" giggled Alex, swinging his bat. The grunts chased after their crazed leader.

* * * * *

"Shut up." said Max to one of the grunts following him. There was the crackle of a freshly made fire.

"Those Rocket goons will never come out, we scared them good."

"They stood and fought. Master said we should be vigilant."

"Master lost to Sabrina again..."

There was the sound of a slap.

"Do not dishonor our Master! You know how hard he works! It's not fair to see him-"

As the trainers continued to talk, Max snuck up and did a quick count. Four trainers, two asleep.

"Alright, two of you go and take out the talkers. The rest of us will surround them and keep them from escaping. Maybe we'll even get them before they drop their balls. Be quiet."

Watching two of his grunts move in ever closer, he motioned a circle to the rest. Staying out of their line of sight, he ended up on the other side of the fire.

"-ough! Enough! You lost too you know."

"It just seems like we should trying something else. Whatever the Master does, Sabrina always squashes him flat..."

Yeah, keep talking. Ignore us.

The black Rockets were edging ever closer, their uniforms making them hard to spot in the dim moonlight.

They couldn't have gotten out any sooner. As soon as the last grunt ran through the door, the angry shouts of the Silph guards, police, and their Growlithes erupted from the entrance. It was too late, and the Rockets sprinted off into the night. It was like the previous escape, except this time they were in control, sprinting through the alleys until they were sure they weren't followed.

Even Ellie had a light sweat by the time they stopped, gasping softly for air. She quickly straightened her uniform and got her breathing under control, waiting for their next orders.

Alex hopped on one leg, thinking.

"No doubt someone tipped them off about us being there. Gates will be watched and alleyways near the outskirts blocked off." he switched legs. He hopped for so long one of the grunts groaned with exasperation. Stopping to set himself up to swing at this slight, he set down the bat when he spotted something that made his eyes go wide.

"Lets go have some fun then!" he shouted, leading the grunts headlong into a club. Their heads soon became booming with music and a dense foggy smoke filled the air. Sliding in with the crowd, the Rockets lost sight of their leader and then each other in the loud dancing. Alex smiled, it would be a good place to start panic. He was about to approach a bouncer with bat in hand when he spotted a guy...

Well, maybe a drink or seven wouldn't hurt. Seeming to completely forget his purpose of being there, he started a conversation.

"Whoa, you a Rocket?"

"No, I'm dressed like one. You know, the whole rebel, down with government thing? You wouldn't understand." he said, smiling sweetly.

"Oh fuck yeah! I get it. My Dad works for Silph and..."

Alex's hand flashed over the eager guy's drink. It had been far too long since his last visit to Saffron.

Suddenly, the atmosphere changed. There were people everywhere. It felt suffocating to Ellie. She had never been this far into a club, and didn't know much more besides the fact that they sold drinks, and that there were big guys at the entrance that usually stopped people from marching in. She didn't really have anyone to take her to the club in the past years. And now here she was, alone in the middle of one. Not another rocket in sight. She contemplated setting a fire, but then realized it wasn't a good idea considering they were in the middle of the crowd. It sounded like a good way to die.

Instead, she tried to slink to the edge of the crowd, keeping an eye out for any of her team. She was tempted to have some fun as well, but decided against it, at least until she knew what their objective there was.

Caid followed the rest of her group into the building, only for her to discover it was a damn club. She hated clubs. Too many people, shitty music usually blaring, and the fact that she...well, just didn't fit it. She tried to stay close to her group, thinking she would get lost otherwise, but then the crowd was giving her plenty of room. She decided to hang out with her new buddy Sandy until something happened, keeping a good eye out for Rocket activities.

Where was everyone? What if they left her alone? What if they already were on their way to Lavender? Ellie was almost pulling her hair out, combing dark strands into her face. Where are they? Where are they? She had found a place near the entrance, figuring it was the best place to see them if they left. Her heart was pounding in her chest, and she couldn't breathe. Her head was spinning. She couldn't breathe...

She needed someone to give her direction. She tried to think of something, anything to do. That's when she noticed she was frantically chewing through a cigarette that she had stashed behind her ear. The end was still hot, and she had bit through enough of it that a few seconds later, she felt the glowing embers burn her fingertips. The racing pain made her smile, and she put it out in her palm, a small hiss coming from the charred flesh. Suddenly, everything was clear again. They were here to cause panic and chaos. They were there to get revenge on the city that thought it could turn the Rockets on their tail. It wasn't going to happen. She calmly took another cigarette out and put it behind her ear. Her leader was there somewhere, all she had to do was find him. He wouldn't leave her alone. She slowly began cutting through the crowd of people dancing, heading for the other side of the room.
