Well I think this list thing is kind of stupid, This guy sounds like kind of an ass, telling people what stores they shouldn't buy at. But then again I guess this list really isn't made for me, and at least he's not trying to get the games banned or outlawed so he's better than Jack Thompson in that regard. This guy is still somewhat pretentious and a bit of a prude, but at least he's only writing down warnings for those interested and not trying to force his opinions on everyone, just on those who want visit his site.

This seems like a pretty commendable website to me. A concerned parent can look at the list and make a decision regarding what they want their children to be exposed to. If a parent is okay with women in their underwear, then Alan Wake is A-OK. If a parent doesn't like that, then that is their choice, too. The bottom line is: parents can use this list a resource for making informed decisions on what they want their children to be exposed to. I see no problem with that. If anything, it's a good thing.

This makes me think about the bookstores like Barnes and Noble/Borders. I walked in on a six year old child reading the Kama Sutra, with fully detailed photographs of people showing how to do everything in it. This book display was right in front of the entrance to the store, in plain view and on the second shelf from the bottom. Nobody seemed to mind there, though I did tell the boy he was too young to be looking at things like that. He ran away.llagrok said:

Why do a half-assed version of the job the ESRB does? Well, that's pretty insulting to everyone involved. As much as the ESRB is half-assed at least they don't openly discriminate against homosexuals. That's the job of christian fundamentalists who know nothing about games it seems.
As for why it's news worthy? Rule of funny. I like to laugh at people of questionable intelligence.
Guess they never heard of parents having the intelligence (SHOCKING!) to know what games are ok for their children.
